Not really. It's been like almost 10 years and only 3 mons are ahead of it. If anything that's an argument for the lack of powercreep. 10 years is substantial staying power. Now if it couldn't stay in the top 20 and the top 10 were filled with the last 2 gens of Pokemon you'd have a decent point.

Eternatus eternamax was so busted that if you gave him 252+ on either special defence or defence he would take only 1 damage from moves that hit him because pokemon damage would rollover and bug out from the calculation

To put into perspective how strong E-max eternatus is, Pure Hackmons is stuck at Gen 7 for the simple reason of it existing. If you EV and nature it right, you can make it so that it can only take 1 damage from a certain kind of move, because its stats were so high it MADE THE DEFENSE CALCULATIONS OVERFLOW.
It was nevermeant to be a pokemon just a battle for 3 teams. Course its busted and shouldnt really exist
There was a Gen 8 Pure Hackmons for a while on showdown, and the metagame page recommended you have AT LEAST two or three Eternamax Eternatus. That’s how stupid it is.

Thank you, this was bugging me so much. Like I enjoyed the video for the most part but how am I supposed to believe that Spectrier is ever supposed to run curse AND place lower than every single first stage starter in pokemon

Would love to see a sequel, with the mistakes cleaned up or even just more data scrapped out to show off more oddities. Hearing about the biggest upset by rank. Win loss percentages of Pokémon. Any surprises regarding type match ups. Strongest Pokémon of each Generation. Infighting within groups of Pokémon for the strongest bird or dog or regi. Evolution line upsets.

Sad to see Shedinja only at #677 with a lower win-to-lose ration. I expected it to be much higher considering its ability and many Pokémon simply not having anything to hit it with.

Unfortunately, I think bug is probably the worst typing to combo with the ability. Way too many mons can learn some random flying or fire move, not to mention shit like Toxic or Will-o-wisp being kinda prevalent.

My favorite saying is: "Everything is possible, to some extent!" I mean, the level 1 pokemon that can beat a level 100 pokemon is very possible, the most known one is Rattata with the focus sash, endeavor and quick attack strat!
I had a level 2 probopass beat a full 6 legendary team because my opponent was a confused noob.
I always had a chill on my back when I say that “Zapdos is the strongest bird in its trio” because of electric causing paralysis, now I have proof
I'm so sad it ended that early. What was the final mon's win rate? What did it lose too if it did at all? Will Frank ever figure out how to say eviolite?
It had 3216 wins and only 75 losses! Miraidon in second had 3081 wins and 210 losses so it was a HUGE gap. The only Pokémon that could beat it were insanely bulky pokemon that could take an eternabeam and chip it down abusing the recharge turns (like blissey with seismic toss). I might do a stream breaking everything down even more, thanks for watchin ❤

Lore wise, the strongest is Arceus, and in the game it is stated that the Arceus we can capture and use in battle is only one of Arceus’s 1000 arms, so Arceus’s true power is literally what we see multiplied by 1000

Btw for further context on eternamax eternatus winning: it's because you literally can't hit him... with just the right EV's and a +defense nature will make his stats overflow causing them to be 0 meaning the highest damage he can possibly take is 1
Physical attack is worse because there are a lot of moves and abilities that lower phys attack. intimidate is the best example.

So I think for the fairness of this, could probably remove moves the AI doesn't know how to use, fix the oopsies, and include three additional things: Allow unique Z moves, but only for pokémon that are at their best with said moves (like Eevee with its omniboost) Only include obtainable pokémon (only locks out the Eternatus boss I guess) And third, don't just look at modern Smogon, as the mons in modern games are restricted in the move choices they can take. Assuming the program doesn't have to use the game engine to do it, include discontinued moves such as Return on pokémon that can benefit from using earlier sets (to basically present each mob at their absolute peak of power, not at the current meta.)
There are E.Eternatus-like things in Legends: Arceus.
This is something I’ve always wanted to do, great work!
Ultra Necrozma only surprised me because i completely forgot the totem boost mechanic in gen 7... But really, UN was only scary because it was a powerful legendary, born with an omniboost, good ability and decent coverage in the form it has when the player has to fight it, meaning it could OHKO most of your pokemon if you didn't have an answer for it in a blind playthrough. The competetive version is nerfed a lot by not getting the totem boost, and most pokemon have an answer to powerful dragons and psychic types today...
