  • Thank you KZhead for posting this wonderful water fitness exercise video. I am a senior benefited greatly from these. I have healed a torn meniscus and ACL from doing these pool exercises. As he says on the video the key is to put forth the effort to reap the benefits

  • I'm glad you're doing these youtube's. I used to teach aquafit. It's truly amazing the benefits of using chest high water/deep H2O. Personally, I've lost significant amounts of weight using aquafit. Now, I am using it to recover from a knee injury. I love it!

  • 1. Great points re: hopping on your weaker leg in the deeper, more supported water area, then moving to the less-supported and shallower water as that leg gets stronger!!! As a recipient of a right hip replacement (RTHR) and a left knee replacement (LTKR), I would NOT have thought of that!!! 1a. The water supports the injured knee joint(s), and works the thighs and calves, two of the many integral parts around the knees! 2. Again, you're absolutely correct doing the lunges with the emphasis on the 'push off' from the floor of the pool, as well as the 'push ups' with your arms from the steps. 3. When there's a time constraint, participants can face the pool deck, hold on to it, then push away from pool wall (either unilaterally with alternately legs pushing off or bilaterally with both feet pushing off), then walking back to the edge of the wall. Facing the wall and pushing against it is great if nobody wants to get their hair wet!!! 4. I noticed at 9:29 your excellent resistance cueing technique to open up the 'hands as the fans'!! (Mind if I steal that, doc??!!) I love your using the 'hands as the fans" and rotating in the water for those sides of the waist 'muffin top' areas. 5. People might not lose weight in the water, but they WILL gain strength & flexibility, thereby getting a better quality of life, as well as lose inches. Great vid, Doctor Parry! Your moves are great yet uncomplicated and you explain things for easy understanding by the average participant as well as professionals.

  • 🌟💛💙🧡💚❤️🌟 What à brilliant set of excerices. Well explained. Real jewel. All the best in 23 and beyond for sharing. I will definitely put in into practice. It is pity that despite I spent so much time in swimming pool I hadn't realize before about the POTENTIAL of swimming pool. The society conformisme is really toxic.
