ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

  • Let Teddy be a lesson to those who think the journey is easy. Teddy has worked for years to get to this point in his career. The Voice will give the winner exposure, but not the work, hence the reason NO ONE from the voice has gone on to have a major successful career. Be prepared to put in a lot more years of hard graft after then show.

    • Well that's not true. Brynn Cartelli, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, and Sawyer Fredericks are all successful. There are others too. No one thinks the journey is easy. The Voice doesn't promise superstardom. They still have to work hard afterward. There are few superstars in the music business, but that doesn't mean that lesser names are unsuccessful. They are making a good living at what they love to do because of the exposure.

Although, I do agree that if a person can make a living doing what they love, then that's a win to some degree. None have made it on an international level. And all have been working at still trying to make it on an international level for years. I have family and friends in the music industry for many, many, years 'producers' at two of the biggest labels in the industry. I know how it works. Teddy is a fine example of putting in years of graft, to hit that success level artists want to achieve. I certainly hope all of the people you mention find the success they are looking for. The Voice is entertainment - Nothing more, nothing less. Social Media is the place where labels search for that next BIG thing.

    • @@TinyDancerO I think you meant "craft", not "graft". To be honest, I had never heard of him until his performance on The Voice Tuesday night. It was one of the best I've seen on the program. He's phenomenal. As for The Voice being entertainment, I think everyone knows that. But I disagree that it's "nothing more". The exposure these singers get is HUGE. What they do with it is up to them. Almost all of them have been performing for years already. They know what it takes. But saying that having millions of people now knowing their voice, name, and face is "nothing" is simply false.

That's not regional. Danielle Bradbery's song, “Sway,” has gotten tens of millions of streams. There are others who have more than regional success, with albums on Billboard and millions of streams.

    • I'm 29, my parents blessed my life with incredible music and Joe was definitely a gem and is (in my own personal opinion) one of my favorite for male vocals. Teddy is blessed, I hope he continues to share his gifts with the world, and I can only pray he will sing some older hits now and then.
