  • Jim Courier is by far the best interviewer in tennis. So natural and dare i say 'human'. People always have the impression that it has to be super professional like you're interviewing a politician. They ask generic questions which frankly illicit the dullest of answers. The tone and questions he asks are the ones in our minds.

  • Yeah, these guys have a wonderful rapport, in large part because of the great questions brought by Courier. As a former number 1 in the world, I’d guess Courier knows the mindset of an elite player in a post victory setting. Anyway, he gives us a glimpse at the real Medvedev: a funny, extremely intelligent, and generous with his knowledge, player, with a crowd pleasing game, and personality… Well done, guys!

  • I remember Mr. Medvedev flipping the bird to the crowd at the US Open. I think he realized when the crowd cheered even as he was giving the middle finger the majority liked the way he played. Crowd also appreciated the fact he was giving the few that was heckling him the bird. Dude is super funny. Is he popular enough to host SNL ? Probably been over 10 years since I watched it. I know because of politics it can't happen. BUT...maybe in the future....?

  • Agree with all comments praising Mr. Courier. Among the men, interviewing the players, he’s the one, who always asks the best questions, and not only the cliche ones (e.g., “What was in your mind, when…” Good for AO being able to get him for these on court interviews! P.S. Mr. Courier was also a great player at his time!!

  • He should keep working on the baseline return. Players who can drop shot or serve and volley can hold very easily against the deep return. The deep return will always be his bread and butter, but he needs an answer if the opponent is drop shotting or serve and volleying effectively.
