True it does have a look of a fix but if you watch clottey's fights. That's really how he fights. He shells up and waits for an opportunity for a knock out but then again. Speed and power took over the fight. He has the power to knock manny out but the speed and footwork is way behind.

I can understand your argument, and I can understand your state of mind and emotion with your rebuttal. Cool man. Nobody is hating nobody. Everyone seems to be cool in presenting his own argument, why inject hate in what is otherwise an objective discussion. I am taking my side on this, civilly. That's what I was thinking at first! But there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye. I researched the purses, the fees, the competition, the manner in which the fight was signed - everything. Something is definitely fishy. It doesn't look like a sparring session or a fix necessarily but it definitely looks like an exhibition. Fixhibition, if you will lol.

This fight was probably the best display of sportsmanship I have seen in boxing. Pacquiao is the best pound for pound and one of the most likeable nice people in the sport. It's refreshing. Complete opposite of Mayweather.

Pacquaio has fought the best of the best of his time. He hasn't ducked opponents because he was trying to protect his winning streak. What can you say about Mayweather?? Is he on peds also? I mean how can you get to 43-0 without being on roids?? Thats the kind of mentality in the boxing game.

Pacquiao has always been credited with great hand speed and power but he has, in my opinion, arguably the best footwork since Ali.

I love this fight, even though Clottey did really push to make the fight more exciting, I still enjoyed the match. Manny fought against a big welterweight in Clottey and a defensive one at that, he out fought him in my opinion. At the time I was just a Pacquiao fan, not really a boxing fan like I am now, this was my third time ordering a boxing PPV, Manny's fighting style was just so awesome. Ive ordered every Pacquiao fight since Cotto

Boxer of the year is a popularity contest. Manny is not important enough to hate on I call it like I see it. Floyd is undefeated, p4p #1, a 5 division champ, the counterpuncher in boxing, the best technical fighter in history (even Lailah Ali said he was a better technical fighter than her father), and he has been undefeated for 16 years. Manny has 4 losses 2 by knockout, 1 draw and has beeen knocked down many times. If they want to give fighter of the decade to him, whatever.

I understand what you mean by Clottey's fighting style. But my whole argument was that he refused to engage or open up and take a chance. He's bigger than Manny, and it looked like he had more power. He does have that peekaboo style, but when he fought Judah, Margarito etc, at least he opened up and took some chances. I know Manny is the fasted he's ever fought, but if you want to beat the best you've got to let your hands go at some point in the fight. Looked like a punching bag.

One thing I notice in this fight and possibly against other counter punchers pac faces is he uses his footwork to find angles and land his shots but doesn't use his footwork to avoid punches. There are some many times he could take a step back, catch his opponent reaching and then counter with his own shots.

A 4th loss isn't that much of a big deal compared to mastering EIGHT weight classes. And you can make it sound as worse as you can, greats like Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Oscar de la Hoya, Roberto Duran, Julio Cesar Chavez, etc. all had more than four defeats yet they are forever remembered to be greats... So why not a 4-defeat Pacquiao who has won ten world titles in eight weight classes?

the fight was not fixed. joshua claimed he had diarrhea from dehydration (blamed it on the weight) but if youve seen clotteys other fights youll see that this is just how he fights. the difference is that all his other opponents didnt throw nearly as many punches nor as fast OR hard as manny does. clottey only throws when he knows its gonna land clean usually or when you stop punching, manny was throwing too many shots, clottey felt his power and was basically just didnt wanna get kod.

I don't neccessarily mean his performance. Parts of this were brilliant...however the easier fights started from this point. After he beat Cotto he could have fought anyone. Manny performs best when he's given less of a chance. He does get complacent when facing lesser opponents...watch his sparring! The best Manny Pacquiao was against a De La Hoya who no one gave him a chance against. Miguel Cotto who everyone thought would be too big and strong for Manny.

This fight was very much so fixed. Look how big and strong Clottey is. Did anyone see Manny's face after this fight, and how it was bandaged? And he was only touching him with punches. I've seen Clottey fight bigger guys than this, with no problem. Ppl...say it was his speed. But, speed is nothing without skills.

Classic pacman introduction was all here. Eye of the tiger. That smile as he walks in. That lengthy introduction. "former.. flyweight world champion, former superfeatherweight world champion..former featherweight world champion, super lightweight world champion and former light welterweightworld champion and reigning defending wbo welterweight champion of the world!" Then the domination with that classic bouncing around style.

1 other thing, Do you remember the May v Hatton? Well Pac and Hatton style is somewhat similar...its just that Manny is JUST EXTREMELY FASTER AND MORE POWERFUL!! So it could be a pretty good fight if Pac executes a good game plan. The early rounds May won aganist Hatton but he was UNComfortable!! Hatton landed too!! Pac cannot try to win on cards...KO is only way. Floyd's too solid a Boxer. But Most important of all....is Pac cannot come forward or it could end with a check hook like Hatton!

Catchweight was used as an EVEN & FAIR Playing field to avoid weight Mismatches among Fighters w/vast diff. in size.I don't deny that cutting weight had adverse effects on one's body but for this boxers who are making this as their way of living is something like a natural to them.Cutting weight would definitely have an impact if your opponent was your same size. Do you really think Margarito & DLH would really be UNCOMFORTBLE/DISADVANTAGE if they met at a MUTUAL weight for a little Pacquiao.

Damn Clottey was just a stationary target,No head movements,But he proved if you keep ur Defence Tight you can go toe to toe with Manny.Vicious uppercuts by Joshua even giving Manny a black eye even when he spent 80% of the entire 12 rounds defending & blocking punches..Manny has stamina cos most boxers would have punched themselves out & got tired..if only he was a bit more Aggressive and thrown some counter punches it would have been a trilling fight.

Pacquiao at his peak. Very crisp and accurate punching, even against a fighter with a tight defense. Very enjoyable to watch him work against a different type of opponent.

Styles make fights and Pacquiao is a bad matchup for Mayweather. Floyd is known for his defense, but its very effective against orthodox fighters, he seems open for left hands; Pac has the best left hand from the southpaw stance.He can even lead with his straight left hand with the speed of a jab and with big power. Pac is the best flurry puncher which would be big trouble when Floyd pulls his non-offensive rope-a-dope or if he gets caught in the corner like he usually does.

I must admit before the De La Hoya fight I though >IF< Manny could take his speed and power with him to welterweight (which i didn't think he would do) he would beat De La Hoya. Oscar has never really relied on his strength, he relied on a very good jab and good pure boxing skills. However he never did really well against southpaws because he lost his best asset, his jab. He never really had massive knockout power in his right hand which is the best punch against a southpaw

He always has clean punching, but Mayweather is more of a flatfooted fighter and Pacquiao moves a lot. Therefore, the clean punching won't be so clean. I have Pacquiao winning a Split Decision (effective aggressiveness and ring generalship) to Mayweather's (defense/counter punching).
