Last time these two met, Fan won by 4:1. However, many games went into distance due to Sora's outstanding play. After the match, an upbeat young Sora interviewed by Japanese media where he mentioned Fan's game was a little outdated and he fully expected to do even better against Fan. Well, Sora didn't need to wait for too long. Here they met again. However, this time, he didn't do better. In stead, he got destroyed! A tough lesson learned by the aspiring young star on how good Fan still is. Since Japanese media is accessible to Chinese, Fan very likely heard what Sora thought about him and played with some extra motivation. Notice, all three games Fan opened up with big lead and never gave Sora any hope to catch on. For a young player, you can be confident but you have to respect these established great players, especially players who are still in their prime, like Fan.
thanks for raising this is up ! he shouldn't have said about FZD
@@user-yw8yy4qy3yThis is why I think Sora's future development won't be good. Young players need to keep learning from other players, especially older and better players, so that they can build up their own strength, both skills and mental strength. If a young player thinks that he is already better before reaching the top ranking, then he will never reach the top ranking.
Wow, didn’t know that. But it is Funny how someone lose 1:4 and saying opponent is outdated 😅
Nice comment! A small correction, last time Fan won 3:1, and the first three sets were very close.
Lol, was that one where Harimoto translated what Sora said into Chinese? Harimoto is a nice guy. What he translated is much humble than what was said by Sora originally 😂 people said that was totally a misinterpretation 😅
i freaking love adam's commentating, I hope he keeps being the voice for table tennis for as long as he wants
What an overwhelming victory! Congratulations fzd
Cheers for you! FZD❤
Go forward, Fan!
Wow today's matches came up early.
cmon Wtt, your unwillingness to change the angle is starting to become pretty cringe...
only the last point as the correct angle! Haha
I completely agree😂 What the heck are they thinking about?
I like this angle. There is no "correct angle", just preference
Man lost his number 1 ranking and decided to wake up from his slump.
He's getting in shape for the Olympics, aiming to perform at his best there.
This time Sora didn't get a set off FZD! Strong from him!
Looks like Fan Zhendong used a hair conditioner
Fan 髮型剪短嘞,看起來更年輕, 球更快嘞
樊振东头发短了,和以前一样精神利落,日本那个小将一副苦大仇深的样子,有点和刚出道的伊藤美诚一样。
no way the match was only 12 min😭
FZD is not n1???? Is it a big gap from him and n2 now?
Teethless game
sorrr wtt, I can stay with this stupid angle after 3 mins watch
For real, they can't see dissatisfaction from the fans?😂
What's wrong with FZD? Huge bags under his eyes, he lost weight.. whoever is looking after him is doing a bad job.
he has bags under his eyes ever since a looong time ago, probably 5+ years ago. And tbh he should lose some weight, when he was at his peak in 2018/2020, he was very fit with clear and defined jaw lines, now he is chubby.
When I saw the score on the website, I thought that fzd regained his form. But I was wrong. Fzd sure played better than the last times. But sora just played absolutely terrible. In just the first set, he missed about 7 shots through hitting the edge, getting net or just shooting the ball completely over the table. I think in the entire match, he missed at least 17 shots that way, out of the 33 that fzd won. Absolutely terrible. On that level, even the nr. 150 in the world could've beaten him.
Sora played terribly because Fan played better and forced him to errors.
@@user-fq5vl3fl1b Nope. It doesn't work like that. You cannot play so good that you force errors, at least on a professional level. If you play better than your opponent, the opponent is simply not gonna be able to get to the ball. And the thing is that those errors were not forced through anything. Sora missed simple flicks , and not just by a bit, but he played them far over the edge. He also hit the edge while trying to reply to slow shots, or just serve returns. And fan did not do anything special. That's the thing. You can always say someone played extremely good bc he made his opponents do errors, but if you just observe the game of them, you can see that fan did not do that. He sure did some good shots, but nothing special. he still would've lost against lin shidong like that, and he would've also lost against ma long, felix lebrun, and wang chuqin.
@@michikatsutsugikuni3098 That's exactly how professional table tennis players play. Play to your opponents' uncomfortable positions and force the opponents to make mistakes. That's also why good professional table tennis players need not only skills but also intelligence to analyze opponents' weakness, sometimes with the help from coach, and force the opponents to make more mistakes and force the opponents to play terribly. In Sora's case, Fan played to Sora's center and BH positions within the table, so that Sora's stronger forehand couldn't get a comfortable position and made so many errors.
@@michikatsutsugikuni3098 take felix lebrun off that sentence. He's not there yet
@@user-fq5vl3fl1b Nope. That's how beginners that know of tactics play. No professional player's goal is to play so that their opponent doesn't land a single topspin or flick. and no professional player is able to do that. It's literally impossible, simply because you cannot put enough spin into the ball so that a player on that high of a level can't get a flick or topspin on. Except you use illegal means, such as putting more spin into the ball when you throw it, or not throwing the ball high enough, but the referee notices that. Same with placement. You may be able to do that until a certain level. But professional players are trained to be able to hit a ball in every kind of situation, and also position themselves so that they can. And if that strategy would actually work, why does none of the good players use it, or why is it not effective? Bc I haven't seen a bad game like that ever. and I've watched a lot of games. No, it simply was a horrible day for sora and he was in a bad form.
东哥要使点劲啊,要重回第一👍
How was this Japanese player selected?
