Patrick wird ein würdiger Nachfolger für Boll sein. Professionell, ausgezeichneter Spieler. Ein gutes Vorbild für den Nachwuchs.

Er ist selbst im Herbst seiner Karriere. Ein hervorragender Spieler aber seine mentale Schwäche wird er nicht mehr beheben. Auf Bolls level wird er nie kommen nur ab und zu ein Ausrutscher nach oben. Als Vorbild für die Jugend ist er aber wirklich herausragend da stimme ich zu. Engagiert, diszipliniert, sportlich immer fair. Leider kommt nicht viel nach was ein generelles Problem in deutschand ist mit der Abwertung von Leistung in der Gesellschaft. Wir haben bei uns gerade die Bundesjugendspiele abgeschafft bekommen mit der propaganda Begründung Wettberweb schadet kindlicher ENtwicklung. Völliger Nonsens aber leider recht verbreitet das man jede Form von persönlicher Entfaltung mit Hingabe und Disziplin abwertet.
@@listrahtes Ich kann bei ihm keine mentale Schwäche erkennen, zumindest nicht in den Spielen. Er wirkt immer fokussiert und schlägt nicht emotional über die Stränge. Ich denke, dass bei ihm noch viel Entwicklungspotential nach oben vorhanden ist. Er hat ein sehr klares, unkompliziertes und effektives Spiel, ohne Eigenarten, was nichts Schlechtes ist.
@@esmolol4091 Na ja schau dir seine Karriere an. Rein technisch müsste da weit mehr bei rausgekommen sein. Seine Rückhand ist schlicht weltklasse, guter Aufschlag, sehr athletisch. Aber in den meißten Turnieren kommt er an einen Punkt wo er mentale Aussetzer hat und ausgespielt wird. Sein level wechselt recht massiv. Er kann sicher noch mehr aus sich herausholen wenn er da stabiler wird und es scheint nun besser aber er ist da imo immer noch weit, sehr weit hinter Boll, Ovtcharov und Qiu. Ich bezweifle da etwas das sich das nach all den Jahren noch ändert wünsche es ihm aber. Franziska hatte schon vor Jahren klares top10 potential.
Als "Belohnung" hat der Deutsche Tischtennisbund ihn nur als Ergänzungsspieler für die Olmypiade nominiert.

This is the best angle, the angle you have when you watch your teammates playing in your club. You are never behind them !
@@Kiki-ty8up The angle I have on my club mates depends on the physical circumstances in a venue. It has nothing to do with the optimal angle for spectators via a camera. Tennis matches also have the longitudinal angle despite that coaches/spectators are often onlooking from the side. No one has ever thought broadcasting tennis from the side would be a good idea. Because it isn't.

To me Boll is very clear the only german player able to really make it far at the Olympics. No one else comes close. Which is just breathtaking at 43 but its a fact. I really hope despite him being ranked the worst out of the 4 top guys he gets to play in the singles. Nor Qiu, Ovtcharov or Franziska will imo be able to go that far as him
Come on. A younger and a lot younger Boll tried Olympic many times, what were his results? Not very good. Expecting 43 to outdo his prime years?

Timo boll was a beast, stronger than chinese players. None can compete with him, even now, he is stronger than most top 10 players

@@michaelshaw2786 I would agree with you until last year with all his injuries etc. Then he again changed his playstyle got in form and now is absolutely tearing through competition in 2024. I watched all his matches and he played more than a level above every other german. Rewatch his DOHA win . He did not only win he dominated top players and outplayed freaking Harimoto. In Singapore Smash he also played the most consistent by far and came incredible close to beat Jingkun after kicking Shidongs ass despite his cheating services. THe thing is his play IQ is nearly unmatched, his intelligent playstyle is absolute singular. He is playing like a low top10 player this year. Franziska is mentally not strong enough ( near always breaks down), Ovtcharov is a power player that has lost a lot of his power and cant change his playstyle, Quiu is very good but lacks the play IQ to win vs the chinese. Imo Qiu and Boll should be nominated for singles and double Franziska/Ovtcharov.

Na he was always like that and will always be like that. Thats why he is not top10 despite having the athletic and technical talent to be an outstanding top10player. Sometimes he can manage to go a full match without breaking down but in a tourney at some point it near all the time comes

Franziskas Taktik stimmt oft nicht gegen die Chinesen. Er ist meist der technisch bessere Spieler , die Chinesen spielen aber immer in seine Schwächen, Franziska selber macht es nicht. Vielleicht sollte er sich einen anderen Coach suchen.
