Okay na yung copper mismo ang nakalapat ,wag mo na lagyan ng nickel strip sa ilalim ,dagdag resistance lang yan

Was thinking about this too. Why the nickel strip was put there?

for now that's my solution for that, I'll keep reading comments and get more ideas from them.. for the grease or oil, over time it will evaporate and be spread inside the battery assembly..

The bolts are way too small. It would not work well.

Nooo don't use nickel as the layer touching the terminals. Why would you do that? People use pure copper bus bars ALL the time on those terminals, they won't corrode as bad as you think they will if the battery is sealed up well in a box. If you really really really don't want copper touching aluminum then electroplate theh bus bars. Its super easy to do and will cost you very little. If those are pure nickel strips the ampacity is like 20% of copper. If its nickel plated steel its like 10% of copper.

And 40A through 12AWG is pushing it my friend. Yes, silicone cable is good for quite a bit more than PVC cable but 40A is probably the limit I would never surpass. I've see it melt at 100A
