Why did Rick drill into that Silver bar? You weigh it then you put it in water and see how much water it displaces. A simple weight/volume calculation n you can tell if it's pure.

So if I drop in 20 lbs of aluminum into a fish tank and measure the water displacement vs 20 lbs of lead I can determine its silver? 😂 there will obviously be 3 to 4 times the surface area difference between 20 lbs of lead vs aluminum. Please elaborate how this is physically possible to determine metallurgy by water displacement. Won't happen.
@@Breezio69 You measure the amount of water displaced. 20lbs of lead displaces less water than 20lbs of silver. The Greeks Figured this out a few thousand years ago.
@@Breezio69 ie. 20 lbs of lead displaces 48.81 cubic inches/27.05 liquid ounces of water. 20 lbs of Silver displaces 52.77 cubic inches/29.24 fluid ounces of water. Google; Calculate volume of compounds and materials per weight
