I totally get that the stock market is a bad measure of the economy cause it is mostly a playground for the wealthy, but telling your audience of millions that it's no better than gambling is, as you say, doing folks a disservice who could be furthering their retirement, their kid's education, etc. Also, I can almost guarantee that a wealthy guy like Seth is invested in the market in some form or another, so there's a touch of hypocrisy there too.
A Closer Look is always excellent, but the Corrections call outs at the end now are just a wonderfully hilarious addition.
I love how he's just leaning more and more into his voice as a comic (I mean, not that he didn't before, but this just seems a bit more personal). I've always been a huge fan, but I love how this sets him apart from the other late night hosts. Keep it up, dude! --from an O.G. Corrections fan.

Only difference here is that the normal stock market has buy/sell protections that prevent or limit the 'dump' when it comes to insiders. The main reason regular stocks are safer than crypto.
Trump can't dump his for at least six months, as Seth mentioned. Those shares are on track to be worthless way before then.
The funny part is how people were actually convinced he was worth anything, a polished turd is still a turd.

When I was diagnosed with incurable cancer, I attempted to sell it… one must have a “medallion” seal in order to do so, only available at a few banks & credit unions… what those organizations don’t tell you is that they require an account. So get an account, deposit whatever amount is required…. “Okay.. well, it has to be of good standing with so much minimum balance for over an extraordinary amount of time.”. I still have my fkn stock, no time to cash it in, & no one to leave it to. Guess I could will it to someone who really doesn’t need it.
Hot take here: normal everyday people shouldn't be expected to invest in anything - not stocks, bonds, futures, derivatives, securities, not even their housing should be an investment. People should be able to live a prosperous life by their own hands with no need to acquire the special ability to cultivate additional "passive income".
