🔴Ice Crusher Machine Restoration - asmr restoration
In this restoration video, I'm restoring a 1980 Vintage Ice Cone Maker. This machine is also called "Gola Maker", The device does not require any electricity and consumes significantly less power. The machine is mainly used in hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, and other places where people love having cold drinks or snacks.
After a quick disassembly, I gave the all parts a nice sandblasting with sand to remove all the rust. With the help of a handheld angle grinder, I removed all the casting marks from all the parts but before I steel weld the broken part. Then I fill the body with body filler. after sliding the filler from all the parts with an angle grinder. I gave a nice paint job with two colors red metallic and off-white.
I cleaned the main threaded screw and two handles' bolts with scotch brite after a 4h bath in rust remover. I used a self-made tumbler to remove the rust from all the screws. I nickel-plated all the screws, the main threaded screw, and the two handles' bolts like they were originally. In the end, I'm very happy with how this Vintage Ice Cone Maker has turned out. The color combination of the red metallic with the shiny off-white parts looks very classy together with the shiny nickel-plated parts and the clean golden-looking base plate is the cherry on the bottom.
Finally, the moment of truth arrives as I reassemble the Ice Cone Maker and put it to the test. With a sense of anticipation, I pour in the ice and turn the handle, eagerly awaiting the delightful swirls of icy goodness. As the first freshly shaved ice spirals into the cup,
I was reminded of the joy and simplicity of bygone summers.

Superb restoration job you did on the snow cone maker. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.
Thank you very much!
ALMOST MINT CON
Nice and honest restoration but room for improvement
These videos help me fall asleep. I love watching the deconstruction and the cleaning is so satisfying 🥰
Geez, I graduated high school in 1980. Vintage. Sheesh.
Wow, graduating in 1980, that's truly a vintage accomplishment! Time flies, doesn't it? It must be fascinating to look back on how things have changed since then. High school memories from that era must be quite special. 🎓🕰️
Ah, this is a shaved ice machine....also known in some places as a snow cone maker. Also, why spikes on ice turning mechanism left all rusty? I do think it would have looked better in that blue that showed up under the top coat when it was being sandblasted.
Everything was great until... 28:35 where you showed the part that holds the ice with rusty pins! nooooo it's not fully restored yet.
Fascinating, as I have neither seen or heard of these machines. An excellent result, and thank you for sharing !
Many thanks!
metal spikes going into ice still looked kinda rusty
You didn't restore one if the parts that grabs onto the ice? Thats one way to ingest rust
I was impressed by that portable sand blaster.
thank you very much
But...the part that touches the food...the ice spikes...they're still rusted!
Brilliance just Brilliance 🎉🎉
good restoration😃 ... but im still seeing rust on those nails on the green plate... its getting in contact with the ice... 😐
The spikes was not cleand proper and the side panle was still broke
That sandblaster worked a lot better than I thought it would have!!!
Just some pure ASMR
It's great to hear that you enjoyed the video! I had a lot of fun working on the restoration project for the 1980's Broken Ice Shaver/Ice Cone Maker. If you have any more vintage appliances or restoration projects in mind that you'd like to see in the future, please feel free to let me know. Your feedback and suggestions are always appreciated, and I'll do my best to create content that you'll find interesting and entertaining. Thanks for watching!
I would have put an undercoat on prior to the color. It is a nice color but i just think there is a certain roughness that may have benefitted from an undercoat and then another sand. It ended up looking nice, well done!
That is an ice shaver, as it is pushing the ice against a blade = giving snow-like shavings
The holding pins to hold the ice were still covered with rust (why)
Ice is an extremely good blasting medium. Throw away the first few rounds of ice and you’re golden. Thus why it’s used in garbage disposals.
Sometimes things are missed.
I agree. The rust should have been removed from the daggers that hold the ice. The daggers should have been sealed so they wouldn't rust. I understand "some things get missed", thank you.
Absolutely amazing. I enjoy watching restoration videos and I'm not sure if I've seen anyone do this machine. Fantastic work.
Thank you very much!
Superb restoration work! Makes me want to go out for a snowcone.
You and me both!
I think you meant to say “casting marks” rather than “caustic marks” referring to the bits you had to file down. You got it right elsewhere in the video - it was just in that one spot right before you start filing and grinding them off.
Thanks for removing the casting flaws.
The work was very detailed, the part that holds the thread was left with rust. I stain the white painted handles with dirt when assembling
Great job. I liked the original blue color but I'm not the one restoring it. Again, great job!!
Thank you very much!
Ja bym proponował elektrolize takich żeczy wszystko profesionalnie wyczyści pozdrawiam mile i serdecznie 👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏🇵🇱
Beautiful restoration. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Why are you putting Putty on it. Didn’t have Putty fr th factory. You simply took away it’s originality.😢
That's a great ice cone making invention ❤
Your attention to detail is to be congratulated! A beautiful restoration, and the thing actually works!!!!
Thank you very much!
So much attention to detail that he didn't restore the spiked disks that grab the ice; they were still rusted at 28:40!
You are so talented. I really was mesmerized watching you display your skill. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
For gelato, frappe drinks and ice packs. Ingenious .superb work❤
Thanks a lot 😊
Beautiful job Well done
Thank you very much!
1980s? Are you sure that isn't 1880s? 😮
Did you notice all of the hex drive hardware? In the 1880s those would have been square drive, square drive bolts and square nuts.
Outstanding workmanship 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Nice job on a crudely, roughly made ice crusher, probably manufactured at the beginning of the 20th century in a middle-east country. But where and when ? Someone could tell maybe ? And I still don't know why the spikes weren't cleaned and left rusted, which makes this machine rather unsafe to use
nice jobs. alot of those casting marks look to really be old welds where they had to do repairs
Excelente trabajo muy buena máquina 100% útil❤🎉❤🎉❤
This is just like the ones that they use in Malaysia and Singapore.
very nice job. thank you for posting
Thanks for watching!
I like that I need one❤
Great video. Very nice asmr

It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!! I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thank you very much!
I would have had to make the star gold. You can make snow for your kids now.
First video on your channel that I've come across, and you've made me a fan. Great job on restoration.
Thank you very much!
Pilar, Pauletta, Lynette, Pear, Squishy, and Sunny: Goody Goody Goody!!! Snow cones!
Mam wrażenie, że górne elementy zostały zamontowane odwrotnie. Tabliczka nie powinna być z przodu?
Very nice job. Greetings from southern Alberta.
Thank you very much!
did you mean 1890's?
I’m sorry but you cannot weld cast iron with mild steel rod (7018) I’m guessing. There was a lot of porosity in that weld I would be very surprised if it held. There is a special rod needed for cast iron & as it cools it has to be “peened”.
Did you you clean off rusty lookind spikes on rotating plate?
i remember having a smaller version of this when i was young, my mum ususlly freeze a small margarine-size ice in a margarine tub and we would get it out and start cranking them to make slurpies!! today technology now use electric
I have never seen chrome plating before. Looks like coca cola soda
My Grandma had a machine like this, and we would make big ice cubes in Tupperware containers.
Mashallah nice
Turned out amazing! Love the new sandblaster...must have saved alot of time 😊 great job 😁💙
Thanks so much! 😊
you mean "1880" instead of "1980" ?
no brother
👌
Useful
Thanks
Just a quick question about your sand blaster. How many times did you have to refill it and were you able to reuse the sand?
yes
As a kid we called them "Snow Cones".
In this restoration video, I'm restoring a 1980 Vintage Ice Cone Maker. ??? I think you meant in the description and video 1880.
Great restoration job. Are those mini sand blasters any good, powerful? Keep up the amazing vids👍
Yes, thanks
👍👍👍
WOW ! Now Wesker make it sounds Hard to make it Snow ❄️🌨️ ! "They could EVEN make it Snow if they want to!" .. while this Snow Cone maker RESTORATIONCIRCLE Proves 'Umbrella Prime Facility' Wrong
Cute.
Did not grind away any of the cast iron and did not heat it up before welding.. no bueno
Great restoration, l love this piece, viewer from trinidad 😅
Thank you very much!
What country?
Ada yg adzan bang
No ofense but, all that work you put into it. putting back the ice holder with the rusty spikes messed it up.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏🥃🥃🥃

Mmmm tedness ice cream yum
So good
Very nice work! However, I would recommend that you use less close close-ups
Thanks for the tip
That's 1980's craftmanship for ya. Designed not to last.
When the refrigerator invented ??? 😜🐸🐝🐣
"In this restoration video, I'm restoring a 1980 Vintage Ice Cone Maker..." 1880...
Have to laugh; we say these days, "They sure don't make things like they used to!" Implying that the quality was better in days long gone. Well, it was, and it wasn't! Things may have lasted longer, but all those bits of casting slag that had to be removed indicates some fairly sloppy construction standards! It looked better after you finished your restoration. Nice job!
Thank you🙏❤
