I think your use of old, damaged wood is perfect. It has a use and still can be beautiful. 🙂

Oh My... EVERYTHING about your video was awesome. From your beautiful vessel, sharing precious memories, to your commitment to such an important issue. Thanks for bring it to my attention. I'm a 1st time discover-er of your work, and am instantly hooked 😊 A poet and an artist in beautiful New Zealand, I've the Irish Gypsy-soul within. I'm never lost wherever I should wander... You have reignited passion that has been displaced in the bog of PTSD for too long. Where I measure my days in spoons. And tomorrow comes in an instant or agonising crawl... but at least I'm here to greet its arrival. Thank you. Now I can begin... I love all of the different tools you have... bring it on! Frankly, if I was doing that, I'd want to use any tool to push the boundaries and lessen the physical demands on my body too. Plus... they're TOOLS. You can never... have... too... many TOOLS! Thank you all for the fabulous work you do. N
Thank you so much! www.artforour.org/currentauctions
That's fabulous. The vines look so effective, and the unusual colours and cracks in the walnut only add to the wild look.
Thank you so much! www.artforour.org/currentauctions
Quite "Impressive"! However I still love the globe 🌎🌍 better. Can't wait to see Your next "Creation". I Hope You & Your Family had a very "Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️" and I wish You and Your Family a "Merry Christmas 🎄 & Happy & Safe Year 🎊". Sincerely 🤠 Mr Severance, "The Cake 🍰🎂 🥳🎉 Man ".

Dan, I'm not sure if you've decided on a hollowing system yet: but if you're still debating take a look at the one that the guy over its Sprague wood-turning has. He turns huge hollow-forms like this and has a really sturdy looking system that I think you might like. I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head, my apologies.
Great ideas! www.artforour.org/currentauctions
always a joy to watch you work, seeing you perfect your methods and techniques over time to get where you are now has been especially inspiring and informative.
Thank you! Much appreciated. ArtForOUR.org
Beautiful piece Doc. Inspirational work - I'm on the cusp (finally) of getting my own woodshop up and running - has been a goal for quite some time, delayed somewhat by my double lung transplant 10 months ago and the disease that preceded it (IPF). With some trepidation due to the pulmonary issues, I'm going to proceed (with caution) - as they said when I left VUMC after 3-4 months of rehab - it's time to go live again. Seeing some of your other work, do you know or were some of your works inspired by Skip Bellock, who I believe is in your area? We met him a few years ago in Park City. Think I will start with some other projects to include wavy bowls before going into the resin and lathe work. Love the jazz at the end of the video as well but can't place it - music credits? Keep up the great work, and the support for a great cause as well.
Thank you so much!! Skip absolutely inspired my wavy bowls! Artforour.org
Thanks for great videos, the following tool you used on this vessel from Simple, did allow chattering towards the bottom? I'm an amputee and cancer surviver starting a new career in turning and would love feedback on tools that should be avoided that you know of from experience. Would like to ask more questions later in regards equipment and resin questions if possible. Thanks again.
Thank you very much! www.artgivinghope.org/currentauctions The simple tool was fine for all wood smaller bowels. But it couldnt handle the 15 lbs of resin and wood projects i threw at it.
Did you just say a wallet tree? Was there also a money tree in said yard?😅
I wish! Artgivinghope.org
