Beating every Elden Ring Legacy Dungeon using ONLY equipment found within

A pretty whacky challenge run video for Elden Ring, a sequel to the Minor Dungeon run in the same vein!!
Here, I need to beat every Elden Ring LEGACY dungeon using only equipment found inside each specific dungeon. For example, Godrick must be beaten using only equipment found inside Stormveil Castle.
Hope you enjoy this video and leave comment below to let me know your favourite Elden Ring Legacy dungeon!

I’ll also mention that the dragonkin weapons are both personal favourites as well. I enjoy all the legacy dungeons in the game but my top 3 would be Stormveil, the Academy, and then a tie between the Capital and Farum Azula. Love this series, and would certainly be interested to see similar runs in other games in the series. In most challenge runs I’ve done (SL1, magic only, bow only, etc) I ended up using only a handful of weapons at most. In fact, I’ve never even used a twinblade in DS2. Can you believe that? Speaking of DS2, I just started a new run and unintentionally managed to adhere to the challenge’s rules through the Forest of Fallen Giants. If you don’t mind, could I perhaps yoink this idea and do a DS2 video on it? Would be certain to credit the idea to you

Most of the other axes in the game require much higher stats to wield and can't be infused with everything like the highlander. Plus it does a TON of poise damage with its two handed jump attacks. It's literally my friend's single weapon he uses through the whole game.

  • It's hard for me to pick an all-time favorite legacy dungeon, but I'd have to say it's a tie between Nokron and the Shunning Grounds. I love Nokron because it's one of the most visually striking areas in the game for me. The ruins strewn about the place, that false night sky, the eerie droning music. It's all so beautiful. The Shunning Grounds I love mostly for the lore surrounding it. Learning of all the dirty secrets and refuse of the current Order that were locked up in the sewers was fascinating. From the Omen to the mass caravan grave and Frenzy Flame Proscription. Even the Dung Eater, my favorite Elden Ring NPC, is found here.

  • Stormveil Castle is special to me as the first legacy dungeon and just overall a fun experience to get into the game with. Leyndell is probably my favorite overall if we don’t count the sewers, it just made the world actually look lived in. Considering I quit partway through out of anger, I’m surprised at how much I actually love Halingtree, it feels like the most visually interesting dungeon and something about it pleases me. Maybe it’s because I’m finally in my ideal armor set with dual +10/25 weapons, but it could just be a nice place to visit.

  • I got a vid idea that I'm pretty interested in for you to tackle should you want to, the balancing of end game areas in FromSoft games. Generally, the amount of limiting mechanics to hinder the player tend to increase immensely when in endgame areas. - Ds1: Dukes Archives just spawns a ton of basic human crystal enemies with high damage with archers and mages hitting you from range. Crystal caves have invisible walkways with enemies that can knock you off. You can't see shit in the Tomb of the Giants. Lost Izalith just wasn't finished but is also not that interesting. - Ds 2: Dragonpeak is forcing you to fight the giants or an army of strong damaging dragon enemies with insane damage. Shrine of Amana has you walking in water with those mages firing at you and the Undead Tombs have those bell ringing summoned mages and an army in front of the boss fog (not to mention the optional areas in the DLC). - Ds 3: DS3: the Jailors reduce your max hp to pretty much zero with limited options to counter it. Disneyland has the amount of enemies made much higher with a lot of dogs, supported by invisible enemies and those strong fire mages. Instead of one you fight 2 Pontiff beasts. Archdragon Peak has flying Wyverns and some Chainsnake type enemies that have enormous range, health and damage. - Elden Ring: Haligtree has gravity Elphael has some incredibly tanky spear dudes which mostly come in pairs and are supported by ballistas. Normal enemies pretty much deal a third to half of a 40 vigor healthbar in one swing. The Evergoal that takes you to the Haligtree has insane DPS Mage Archers with the black Assassins who spam grab attacks with high HP (they are pretty much impossible to kill without the torch). In Farum Azula they have a ton of birds with a Dragon spewing Lighting and some of the Dragon Warriors have crazy long combos which can be dodged but with some bad RNG they do them multiple times causing you to just roll away and wait (mostly the double sword ones). - Bloodborne has the poison swamp areas, frenzy nightmare and the shark well (the trauma) I short, I feel like designing those end game areas can be really tricky, especially with time constraints and balance in mind. What would your idea for a good Souls endgame be? Just increasing the damage that basic enemies do to 100 doesn't really work imo. Something like adding bosses from the early game as a regular enemy could work but does take away a bit from the experience and uniqueness of said boss. Curious what your take on this would be : )

  • One thing really good about about Miquellan Knight Sword against Malenia (one that I used against her recently) is the R2, where you can use that to land a charged attack on Malenia from a distance after some combo finishers to close in the gap between yourself and her while also dealing damage. Really fun weapon to use against her despite dealing Holy Damage. Also the quick, uncharged R2 is also a fun tool to counter her kick with the right timing since she’d lose her hyperarmour right after the kick attack for you to counter her right before she continues her combo

Stormveil, Raya Lucaria, Volcano Manor, Leyndell, Farum, and Haligtree. The rest are just major dungeons or underground areas. Other than that, really great video. edit: Ironic that so many people think that shunning grounds is bad, considering it's the closest they've gotten to recreating Ds1's style of world design. I think it's more the enemies, less the level.

  • the envoy's longhorn it's honestly OP against half the bossfights, just not the ones that dodge a lot like Loretta. I even killed Placidussax before he could even start phase 2 cause the bubbles hit him multiple times as they fly through him (just don't lock on and stick to his side) and that was without the bubble-boosting headgear

  • You were surprised about the whip being able to stagger leonine misbegotten, but that thing (and whips in general) has some seriously shocking stagger lmao. When I first tried out a whip in my game it was staggering Omens, and from that point on I was sold on them as a weapon type. The damage and speed aint great but they’re real fun to use as an offhand weapon for zoning out enemies.

  • Hand of Malenia is a good weapon. It would come in handy if it weren’t for the challenge rules. This weapon is for people who prefer a more hands on approach to combat. What makes it satisfying to use is the fact that it isn’t handed to you and you have to earn it. The reason for this comment is that I had a lot of hand puns I wanted to share. Keep up the good work great run as always.

      @RedBannanaProduction@RedBannanaProduction Жыл бұрын
    • Erm..I totally did do respecs at certain points towards the end 😅 I mentioned in the video when I did. It's totally possible to do without but would just take hours of farming

      @JKLeeds@JKLeeds Жыл бұрын
    • Because even with respec, I would have had to do so much farming to get below fat roll and plus the fat roll was more challenging and thus hopefully more entertaining to watch 😂

  • Editing thing: for me at least, you tend to remove images too quickly for the reference or joke or info to really land. From personal experience I know it may seem like you're keeping them on screen for too long, but that's because you already know what they are, where they are, and why they're there. What I did to figure out good timing was to watch some favorite videos with this style and literally time how long they leave things on screen. I think I ended up nearly doubling the amount of time my images stayed up. A good example is your Raya Lucaria joke. It would land better visually if the images went up sequentially as you say the syllables, and also if you were standing still in the gameplay so the two things didn't fight for visual priority. Love the video!
