I certainly miss watching fighters from the 70's who could box, this match was close to a WWF brawl. Fury can take a punch though and has to be able to since his arms are down all the time!!

if the highlight reel tells the whole story, klistchko is looking absolutely clueless against a larger man. rarely throwing and when he does try to throw, getting caught or tied up due to Fury's lack of "rhythm" If klitschko boxed earlier rounds as ferociously as he attempted in the final, this could have been a good fight.

Klitsko use to turn his back on his opponent more often thas why he was hit on the back of the head always. During his first fight with Peter he was hit by a punch to the back of the head that sent him down to the canvass.

This fight gets a ton of hate for being boring, lame, etc… I disagree. Firstly, can we all agree that the ring and lighting were fucking gorgeous? As far as the fight goes… A musical analogy: Boxers typically fall into one of two categories - Heavy Metal or Gangster Rap. On this night, Tyson Fury played Jazz. Everything was subtle and odd, but it was wonderful to watch if you appreciate the finer details of The Sweet Science. Bravo, Tyson

God I miss the late 80's and entire 90's HW boxing matches. They had strategy, postioning, and skills. Nobody looked liked they were ready to defend themselves or unleash an assault on you like Tyson did. Holyfield was much the same, but more of a counter puncher. These guys looks like they're actors in a ROCKY movie. They're stance and positioning look like they aren't intending to use any leg or hip thrusting power in their punches. This is the difference between compact/agile 220 pounders vs. the "Super Heavyweights" who exist now.

Honestly, Klitschko fought scared--look how upright he was throughout. Even when Fury over-extended and presented angles for countering with left hook or upper cut, Klitschko still hung back, looked unsure of a strategy, opting to hook and hold on to Fury. While Fury surely deserved this win, I still have much respect for Klitschko and his sense of civic duty to Ukraine.

He just relied too much on one fighting style and style makes fights. His fighting style is not suited for Fury's. Thats why he wasn't able to adjust, because he always relied on his one twos.

I’m sure Tyson Fury punches hard. But, his style in this fight was reminiscent of a drunken sailor in an alley fight. Klitchko looked like he wasn’t throwing punches with evil intentions. And Fury looked carefree, like a fighter who knew has was safe. If Fury had fought like he did against DeOntay Wilder, we would have had a fight! Rematches are where the money is anyway, so I’m sure someone paid Klitschko to grab and hold and pull his punches.

He relied too much on his 1 2s that when Fury nullified that, he couldn't adjust. In order to beat Fury, fighter must be able to adapt or adjust to how he fights that night. I can only name three fighters so far in my opinion that might be able to adjust to any fighting style Fury comes up with during fight night

not a great fight as title fights go ,, klitschko too old almost 40. Klitschko had his worst fighte ever . I Wonder if fury would have fancied this fight when klitschko 28. Neither fighter would have stood much chance against muhammed Ali, holmes, foreman, Norton or even joe fraser.. Dont think he would have beat lennox lewis. Both have enjoyed a big height advantage , tyson only beaten bums apart from grandfather Kl;itschko and ,wilder who no one in UK had ever heard of. no technique but he will fight anyone , trouble is theres not that many great heavyweights around.

Was there a Fury vs Klitschko 2? Back in 2016, though, as he prepared for a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko after dethroning him the year before, Fury hit rock bottom. Eventually he pulled out of the planned second bout with Klitschko after being declared medically unfit to fight by professionals.

Fury face pulling and postering was marvellous much prefer this to landing punches.
God I miss the late 80's and entire 90's HW boxing matches. They had strategy, postioning, and skills. Nobody looked liked they were ready to defend themselves or unleash an assault on you like Tyson did. Holyfield was much the same, but more of a counter puncher. These guys looks like they're actors in a ROCKY movie. They're stance and positioning look like they aren't intending to use any leg or hip thrusting power in their punches. This is the difference between compact/agile 220 pounders vs. the "Super Heavyweights" who exist now.
Damn it feels good hearing Jim Lampley, we miss that man.

Honestly, Klitschko fought scared--look how upright he was throughout. Even when Fury over-extended and presented angles for countering with left hook or upper cut, Klitschko still hung back, looked unsure of a strategy, opting to hook and hold on to Fury. While Fury surely deserved this win, I still have much respect for Klitschko and his sense of civic duty to Ukraine.

I’m sure Tyson Fury punches hard. But, his style in this fight was reminiscent of a drunken sailor in an alley fight. Klitchko looked like he wasn’t throwing punches with evil intentions. And Fury looked carefree, like a fighter who knew has was safe. If Fury had fought like he did against DeOntay Wilder, we would have had a fight! Rematches are where the money is anyway, so I’m sure someone paid Klitschko to grab and hold and pull his punches.

I can only name three fighters so far in my opinion that might be able to adjust to any fighting style Fury comes up with during fight night

not a great fight as title fights go ,, klitschko too old almost 40. Klitschko had his worst fighte ever . I Wonder if fury would have fancied this fight when klitschko 28. Neither fighter would have stood much chance against muhammed Ali, holmes, foreman, Norton or even joe fraser.. Dont think he would have beat lennox lewis. Both have enjoyed a big height advantage , tyson only beaten bums apart from grandfather Kl;itschko and ,wilder who no one in UK had ever heard of. no technique but he will fight anyone , trouble is theres not that many great heavyweights around.
