  • Watching sharp tools in the hands of someone who knows how to use them is one of the pure joys of the world. Even more so to have it be in the context of sharing that knowledge. Kudos to you!

  • Nice looking box. I need to do more of those. They are a fun project. I always get a little frustrated by the lack of grain alignment on my boxes where the lid meets the body when using figured wood. I'm going to have to try some design experiments and try different ideas. That round scraper made quick work of the box's interior, great control. It looks like it has nice stability and thickness. My scraper is somewhat thinner and vibrates if I am out that far. Anyway - great video. Todd

  • What sort gouge tool handle is that that's holding the 1.25" gouge blade? The metal looking one?

    • Hi Chris, that is our 16" aluminum handle! We found that aluminum offers a very comfortable, even weight and reduces chatter.

  • great video, am a beginner turner, nice to see you using Forstner bits &scrapers for the hollowing, as not everyone can use a Bowl gouge to do it ( Goblets in my case).

  • Keep the music at the same volume as the talking! When talking, stop the music. People with hearing loss cannot hear over music, even mild background music!
