  • Rest in peace, Harold Ramis, you'll be forever missed. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Afterlife sequel. It should be a hoot.

    • I bet Harold Ramis and Ivan Reitman are together in heaven, proud of their kids taking the lead of franchise they helped to create, in some way at least ❤

  • Because of the talented people behind the making of GHOSTBUSTERS '84 that was the reason this film was and continues to be the favorite of fans everywhere and the cult following it has since it was first seen in theaters 40 years ago.

  • In 1983 I was coming from Columbus Circle and took a walk up Central Park West when I got to 66th st and Central Park West looking towards the downtown side I saw this film crew and I saw white chunks of Styrofoam spread all over the streets I said to myself what is all this stuff then as I was staring at the foam, the form was supposed to have been from the giant Marshmallow man that blew up, former NBA star Bill Walton walk up on me, I am 6'2'' and he is 6'11 he was way over my head I said what's up Bill, he had all this red hair he had a game at the Garden that night against the Knicks he was playing for at the time San Diego Clippers, so I kept looking at the film crew and later on come find out that it was the first Ghost Busters, wow that was so cool, I ended up working right in that block where the Ghost Buster building is I was working at 22 West doing security in 1986 the building was under construction at the time caught up in litigation.

    • Ernie was never pushed by Sony but the fans loved him and we still do. He's getting his justice in these modern movies being the owner and technical head of the Ghostbusters

  • Ernie Hudson is always being downplayed and left out in almost all GB-related things - it's good to see him shine again - but, I think this will stand as a reminder about race perceptions in the movie production industry back in the day.
