  • Danielle Collins usually does pretty well in Melbourne but this year was a revelation. When she was on song, she was really impressive. I think the surgeries she had have really helped her. She’s got a massive return of serve, which is almost the ideal weapon against a player like Ash Barty, whose serve has been excellent this tournament. The down sides are a less than impressive forehand this tournament and a very vulnerable second serve. Collins only won something like 28% of points on her second serve. That’s not good against a player who has few weaknesses. But for all that, I think she’s finally fulfilling her true potential. As an Aussie who is firmly in the Barty court, I apologise for the crowd behaviour… The only excuses I can make are that Ash Barty is -probably- the most popular sports person in the country and it’s been 44 long years…

    • @@hithere9768 actually men champion are really being underpaid. If a woman worked 40hrs and get paid the same as a man that worked 48hrs then the man basically wasn't paid for the 8hrs he worked.

    • @@funkyguy99 You got it wrong. Number of sets and length of matches don't matter, since unlike most other jobs tennis players don't get paid by hours worked.
