Airport Extreme / Time Capsule Fan Service - Repair

If your airport extreme / time capsule is blinking orange, it might be due to its built-in fan becoming stuck / clogged.
To check if that's the case, you'll need a mac: there, launch Airport Utility and click the router's icon - an error will be shown with a description of the issue.
Was able to fix my Time Capsule fan using your video, by lubricating the fan. Thanks for creating and sharing these repair instructions.

Reassembly is the hard part. These home videos joke, everyone skips over reassembly because reconnecting the tiny wires is a significant challenge!

Great video, I did take away the bottom with a screwdriver with force and nothing broke. Might need to order it. Can you tell me the type of fan you ordered ?

Well I can honestly say that this video was very helpful and I managed to lubricate the fan. I also managed to damage some of the small connectors during reassembly. Does anyone know where I might be able to get replacements please?
I had the same problem with my extreme base, but it worked for a few weeks and then the problem came back. so I am using it with the open condition, and the problem is gone. I think my extreme base was overheated for unknown reasons, and the fan was overloaded.

not one I can recommend .. it was about 20USD and ... it works ok at best .. (I'm not near my laptop now and that's why I don't have the exact name)
