    • Yes they did! Black parents get a bad rap at times but there are many out there who expect their children to prevail over their setbacks and be kind to everyone. I live in an area where there are many Dollar General stores but I drive about a half an hour because of one reason. There's a black woman who has several kids but she manages the store and rarely gets a day off. I'm welcomed everyday she's there with a big smile and a friendly conversation. She does that with everybody and it makes me have a better day. I imagine she treats her children to be kind and to work hard with a smile on their faces.

    • Please, don't feel like a burden to your family and not ask them to do things with you (if the relationship is good). I regret not spending more time with my grandma. She was the same, not wanting to ask for anything but, selfishly, I sometimes wish she did. Most of all, I regret not putting in the effort to see her more, until I was older. I know it isn't easy to ask for things if it makes you feel uncomfortable, so start small. Call each other more often, go over for a coffee or tea or whatever, have dinner together. All those things make it less scary to ask for something else. Depending on where you live, you might find others nearby in the same situation and you can spend time together. A hobby is also a great way to meet new people, especially with the internet making it easy to find likeminded people (while being careful for those of ill will). You can make new friends at any age. I know it is easier said than done but not impossible. I genuinely hope you find some company and I wish you all the best!

    • Indeed. An that last line "I'm not smart either" I kind of beg to differ on that one. Perhaps he is not say "book" smart or something IDK. But what I do know & his actions show this as well. That he actually is both smart and ditch but in different ways that he isn't recognizing as being just that. He is the kind of smart that made him on this busy, eventful night out w/palls instead of being oblivious of other things in his environment due to being busy socializing an visiting his smarts is the compleat opposite. His kind automatically make him unable to not notice a strangers situation being one that he could easily and caring improve. An there for it should be done since improvement was possible. His kind of smart isn't from book studies it is from within. It's like a natural shine from within. Perhaps he comes from a large family where whenever they are together (or visiting w/friends over w/their families) everyone naturally just does an accepts the roll of & the responcibilitythat comes w/caring for each other. Like is say a baby is crying its simple you just pick it up. There needs to be no question or dialog you just are so cool an comfortable w/in a family that it would almost be harder to not try an include everyone in the room. An where as its not learned studied book smart it is much deeper than that. An where he said he is Not Rich, , , , well that is greatly incorrect as well. Sure he don't have bunch of cash in his pockets or gold chains an diamonds rings. He has a type of wealth that can't be bought w/$$$ or a diamond/gold mine. Again this type of wealth is in the end most desired. For this type of wealth un like $$, gold, diamonds which is only a temporary surface type of thing. Be because like they always say you can't take it with you. But this kind of wealth this kind once you achieve it you can take it with you! You can be walking around in ripped clothes and no shoes yet be the richest person in the room. It's the type of wealth that I think we're supposed to try and have before we leave here. Or while we're here it's kind of wealth it we're supposed to strive for that's what we are supposed to achieve in life. Not shiny pieces of metal or shiny rocks or colored paper with numbers on it. Because if there is a God or if we end up elsewhere or in spirit or mind and have no earthly possessions we are all even on the same playing field except for those who are rich in other ways those ways they still have to share with others and give whereas the rich guy with the money and that's bling that they had worked so hard for gets left behind. So they're left with nothing after having everything. But the kind of wealth that kid has that will stand out big and shiny overflowing. It's much bigger greater of a wealth then wealth of the dollar values. Just saying yes perhaps that kid just may not see it yet but he has more wealth than most people. He is rich in the way he interacts with humans and with life and that is the important kind of rich! And he is naturally very smart again when it comes to people when it comes to really living life and understanding that's smarter than any book ever. Truly he may not need to be concerned with being president the past years have shown anybody to be president. But the type of smart that he is is the type of smart. Very well could perhaps put him in a much bigger more serious position like perhaps one wear it and he could you something bigger like save the world. Just saying

    • @Jayce mimi I owned my own business for a long time and took it over from my dad. There was one piece of advice that always stuck with me when it came to hiring employees. Basically there are four types of people. 1. The consciously competent. They’re smart and they know it. 2. The unconsciously competent. They’re smart, but for whatever reason just don’t recognize it. 3. The consciously incompetent. They know they’re dumb. 4. The unconsciously incompetent. They’re dumb, but don’t realize it because they think they’re smart. #4 is the type of employee that could ruin your business if he or she was hired as a manager. #3 is harmless and can be a janitor or something. The kid in the video is a #2. He’s selling himself short. He doesn’t think that he’s smart. Maybe he doesn’t get good grades or whatever, but there are plenty of opportunities out there that don’t require straight A’s.

So many innocent lives lost, and our government unwilling or unable to stem the tide, idly sitting by, leaving it up to States Governors to rescue us from the terrible mistakes they have made. Even some Governors are making things worse. I don't believe all of this happened accidentally. The leaders of our country have allowed money and greed to cloud their judgement and guide their policies, instead of the constitution and the bests interests of the American people. We have finally reached a reckoning. Hopefully we will all learn from this, and once again become the UNITED states of America, men, women, rich poor, all colors and all races, all religions together living in peace and harmony with respect for the dignity of each other.

  • My 99 year old grandma told me the moment she realized my generation would be okay. She was probably 96ish. She was walking towards the doors to leave the mall. She said “I saw a group of young men. They looked like hooligans with their hats on backwards and such. I got a little nervous walking up to them when one of them spotted me, got up and held the door open for me. I thought ‘hmm, these kids will be fine.’” I don’t know who you are, but thank you to whoever opened that door a couple years back. You don’t realize what a big deal that was.
