  • I do home appliance repair. Recently went to an elderly mans house whos oven had an issue. While working on oven he said he didnt have water in the house because his plumber needed parts and it had been 2 weeks since he heard from him and water was turned off. This guy was carrying 5 gallon buckets to house from barn so he could flush his toilet. Finished call on oven and said, lets look at this bathroom water issue. Seen what needed to be done and told him Ill be right back. Went to Home Depot, got the parts and fixed the problem. Turned his water back on. Charged him for the oven part but no labor and no charge for the plumbing parts or labor. He called our company owner to thank him. Company owner called me and asked what was the deal. Told him. Company owner paid me in full for the call and reimbursed me for the plumbing parts. Told me this is how we want to be known. A service company who does what they can to help a customer.

      @TrungCyf@TrungCyf Жыл бұрын
    • @@TrungCyfanother difference now is that at least back in the day, whenever we heard those terrible things in the newspapers (which we would only get weekly), we could at least put the paper down (or trash it, or burn it) and walk away and try to rebuild ourselves emotionally and gain confidence in ourselves to move on. Today, we can't even go a couple of hours without hearing of something else awful that happened today.... after we already saw a messed up news report on something terrible. So, the main problem here is really the media.

  • In 71 years I have never experienced a gesture of kindness or a kind word. I had a dreadful childhood of abuse both sexual and physical, and my heart goes out to all those kind people out there. Live love and let others do the same, whatever colour creed , gender, or sexuality, just be kind to one another. I have spent my life helping others with their troubles, so I do realise what a kind gesture can mean.

    • Of all the people I've met so far in this life, I've noticed that us so-called 'broken' people have always been the ones to love the most, look out for and care for others more than any other kind of person. It's a shame that no one has returned the same kindness and patience that you've always spread around so freely. I'm sure there are several people's lives you've managed to save without even knowing it. Best wishes and never stop being who you are. ❤️❤️❤️ Much love to you.

  • Many years ago I worked in the village off-licence. There was a butcher's next door. At least once a day his dog, mitsy, used to sit by the door and wait for someone to let her in. She'd wait patiently for us to clear customers then she sat up to get her packet of polo mints. She'd then go to the door and wait to be let out to go home. The butcher used to come in once a week and ask how much her tab was... It broke my heart when I realised she hadn't come in on my shift, and the butcher came round to tell me she had passed away and thank you for giving her something to look forward to every day... I roared my eyes out that night...

I have to watch these videos so I can remember that there are good, kind people in this world who help others just because it's the right thing to do. • I love the taxi driver at the hospital one. You can tell that man was not expecting recognition or money or ANYTHING for his kind deeds. The way he's standing shows that he's lowkey uncomfortable with the praise even though he deserves it. Ive noticed that a lot of people are like that. A lot of times people who do kind deeds expecting nothing in return are the awkward ones, the socially anxious ones. Because they know struggles. They know what its like to be mistreated. So they show others kindness and expect nothing for it. Then they feel uncomfortable with the praise, AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH NOT WANTING RECOGNITION OR PRAISE OR BEING AWKWARD WHEN PEOPLE SAY GOOD THINGS ABOUT YOU. Im the same way i dont like people saying things about me especially if theyre good things bc its just awkward, I'd rather talk about someone else's good deeds or good qualities 😂 its like sitting at your own birthday party while everyone's singing happy birthday and you dont know what to do. These are the kind people. These are the people who are kind out of the goodness of their hearts. Bc we know what its like. We know. So we do everything we can to keep other people from feeling pain even if it means taking on pain ourselves. Love to all.

  • I grew up in the 1950s and as a Boy Scout I was taught to do a good deed every day. I used to help older people cross the road safely, but sometimes this was hard to do as they didn't won't to cross. But seriously it's the little things that can make a persons day, a comment about how nice they look, slowing down a bit an holding a door open, instead of charging on through. Carry a bag for someone, make some one smile it will make YOU feel good.

    @TheByard@TheByard2 жыл бұрын
    • Angry comment registered with me today. Without realizing it (probably because my mom told me I should always be nice and my dad was in sales) it's easy and completely natural for me to find something positive about most of my interactions. Went to UPS today, told her I liked her nails - I didn't necessarily like her nails but it was obvious that she was proud of them so it was easy to acknowledge that. At 67 has been difficult for me to find a job again. I did find a job they're in accounting. It is quiet as a tomb which makes me crazy. But even more strange to me is out of seven people one person we'll say good morning and good day or take care, have a good weekend; only one person says please or thank you. The others literally walk by my desk when I come in and when they leave and not a single word to me. And when this happens, I immediately call my 45-year-old son 40-year-old daughter and 20-year-old grandson and say, "you are raised right, behave and be nice"

Don’t knock the guy for not taking this dog home, you don’t know his position in life, he may not have been able to give the dog a home ~~ he did what he could ! • All of these were special. My favorite one is @ 9:12, where the one young boy gives another young boy, he doesn't know the baseball from a foul ball. It seems so natural for the giver to give, and the appreciation shown almost has an innocence to it that I wish I saw more often in adults. Small acts of kindness can have effects that may not be seen or felt for years.

If we all learn to just show compassion for others this world would be so much better. I live in my own world where there's love, compassion and forgiveness. Can we all imagine life with no war, no judgement, no threat of hurting others but more of understanding and care for others. What a world that would be😊👌❤

  • After my wife got diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer my "family" (parents and siblings one of them a medical doctor) advised me to get rid of her and divorce her. She was an incredible fighter and survived almost 5 years. During that time she got several visits from her sister from overseas whereas my blood relatives (they dont deserve to be called family) never visited her, never even called her or congratulated her to her birthday. Needless to say that I broke off all contact with these heartless creatures a long time ago. Nevertheless I pray for them that GOD might open their hearts and forgive them their sins.

    • These videos were taken by others. There is no need to mention … "without showing to others". We need to applaud for that and encourage others to do so. Even when people show themselves helping others is still GREAT. They could be looking to encourage and remember some people that there are homeless, children, and older people who need kindness and support. Be supportive and not critical please. Thank you
