  • I think its better turn around disk when putting the hub on.to ensure you touch the inner race perfectly, the race extender is awsome , mayby can be used on a lathe as well...most tools can be self made. bottle jack.blind flange, spindle old scissor jack a.s.o. thanks for showing. goedendag

  • Fantastic quality job, unlikely to find a garage that would do it so professionally, as the tools used look very expensive. Putting the bearing in correctly will mean it will not fail prematurely. Look how clean his hands are in such a mucky area, is he made of Teflon?

  • This is the only mechanic I know who can do a full wheel bearing tear down and reassembly without touching the existing part or getting his hands dirty.. I'm sure he gets dirty in other ways, especially if this is the kind of shop music he prefers... just wow... Is this why they charge you an hour labor? I could do this by hand in 30 mins or less!

  • No wonder labor is getting more expensive because they use over engineered tools in the video. I have seen all the mechanics using impact to remove axle nuts. And and very last the guy used the impact and the most unreliable torque stick to install wheel back. That is called German engineering.

    @yz8302@yz83024 жыл бұрын
  • A little problem there: He didn't use the torque tool on the wheel bolts. I'm sure that there is a torque specification on wheels bolts.

    @cozminpreda@cozminpreda10 жыл бұрын
    • He is using a torque stick. Manufactured at a preset torque for a particular car. They are german, wont miss a thing!

  • A lot of unecessary tools used here. Waste of money. Just pound the axle out with a brass punch, nothing is gonna happen to it. Use a OTC slide hammer instead. Engineers provide this method so that the company doesn't get sued. Take the knuckle off and take it to the press.
