The first of many. Kid's been making plays like that all of his hockey-playing life. And for at least the last 5-6 years, people have been wondering "can he do it at the next level?" Well...there's your answer. I really like the patience the Habs showed with Caufield, but it's been pretty apparent for at least a few months that he could be a difference-maker in the NHL. Letting him finish out the year at Wisconsin, win the Hobey Baker, that was a good choice...but he could've been on this team like, 8 days after Wisconsin was eliminated (and maybe he should've been...all his time in Laval proved was that he thought so too!). I think he's going to be a similar X-factor to what Subban was for the Habs in the 2010 playoffs. They were his coming-out party, and even though it was Halak who made the ultimate difference, dragging his team to the Conference Finals, people knew, even then, just what a special player he was. And I think we're going to see a similar thing from Caufield this spring. Isn't it nice to have some elite talent again?

Great for Goal Caufield, but let's just give Petry a sniff of credit! What a beautiful toey backhand pass to the tape! Opens up around the stick of the defender. Soooo nice. His goal to make it 2-1 was magnificent as well. Petry heating up again is a reeeeeaaaly good sign for a team that needs a puck-moving defender
@thekiatty69533 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but we get that most nights from Petry. He's a Norris-calibre defenseman...perpetually underrated, but pulling off slick passes like that all the freakin' time. He is also (in my opinion) the Habs' most important skater right now, given that Gallagher is injured (and Weber injured too, though he has been slowing down over the past couple years). So I think he gets appreciated - it's just that we know what he is, and what he can do (and tonight's play was just...Petry being Petry). Truth is, we don't know just how good Caufield can be...and that's what's exciting everyone right now. The possibilities.

New GF : do you you want to watch the game ? I dont mind! Me : (watching score , 2-0 Sens), no, it's fine, no worries.. .... Me this morning : F*CK !!!
Mistakes were made.
What a play from Petry!
Put him on the left side of that power play for another 10 years
Goat
Great for Goal Caufield, but let's just give Petry a sniff of credit! What a beautiful toey backhand pass to the tape! Opens up around the stick of the defender. Soooo nice. His goal to make it 2-1 was magnificent as well. Petry heating up again is a reeeeeaaaly good sign for a team that needs a puck-moving defender
Hoping this goal is going to unleash his Crosby-type potential. God knows Montreal could use that !
Awesome
Atta boi, love to see the vet perry getting the puck
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Wisconsin kid; pure sniper!!
As a badger, you love to see it
