First coil failure on my n52 put the car in limp mode. Previous owner had a crap mixed batch of coils, switched to Bosch as recommended & all good. Be well Dr.

Hi! Great video up there. My N52 misfired recently and I replaced the whole ignition coil and spark plugs with a brand new set from BOSCH. This solved the issue initially, but I'm surprised it started again after just a few weeks with low usage. So I'm wondering what else could cause this? Or has the new set of ignition coil and spark plugs gone bad?

Hi BMW Doctor, can i use the same technic on the Injector Valve? Pulling the plug on each valve , one after other.....my bmw N42 318i have a rough and low idle when warm (600rpm). and sometimes i have a loud rattle on could start, it sounds like a lose chain but the chain is tight

Late, but mine had this issue, check that your struts haven’t busted through the mounts.
Iv got a rough idle on BMW 120d e82 2010 n47 engine at 118k. I was thinking fuel filter change is needed and was thinking of the injectors so i stuck some Wynn's diesel injector cleaner through it , it helped but it still feels like it's misfiring a little. Could it be similar to this video ? I watched it but don't get as when you unplugged number 5 there wasn't any difference?

HELP PLEASE, my 630i cuts out on idle. Did have maf sensor fault replaced it, then battery died replaced battery. Now cuts out on idle error code on inpa P0602. Have replaced spark plugs 1k miles ago did check coil packs all was okay. Any idea is it possible camshaft position sensor or fuel pump faulty?

Same with my E83.. every morning when I start the car its rough and have clanking sound but after 20 seconds and a few revs it goes smooth. Hope the Doctor can help us

My 06 325xi had a VERY rough idle to where I just had it parked because of how bad it was and you will not believe what fixed it. Well actually I have no clue because I tried everything and nothing worked until I got tired and just ran the engine for a few seconds and turned it off and, I repeated this a few times until I turned it on and the car started running beautifully. Thanks for nothing KZhead lol
Hello all, I have an 2017 320i xdrive (f30), misfiring. I changed the coils and spark plugs, problem still there, I changed the maf sensor, problem still there. What should I check next, code that comes up is p0300, p0303 and p0302.
My 2004 530i revs but does not accelerate. Goes into gear just fine. Reverse and Drive literally will not move only rev. Any advice??

What about if i got a misfire cyl 1, no activity bank 1/2, i swap coils the misfire stays on one, if i let it idle long enough the cat gets red hot, also just noticed the oil smells like gas. Could i have a leaky injector and its just pouring fuel in causing my cat to get red? And filing out the plug causing my misfire? Or what should I check next. I really need some help :[

Dean, I changed all my ignition coils check out fine. I also replaced my spark plugs. My N52 is still giving a boggle or hesitation like there’s a loss of power or torque typically in the 3K RPMS range. Could it be the Vanos? I haven’t changed them at all, there’s 150,000 miles on the N52.
I have the same issue car has very low power and sometimes it’s at its fullest but most of the time it’s limp

I have rough idle on my bmw x5 e70 35i 2012 n55 engine with no codes i check the coils and spark plugs everything is fine but i still have rough idle 🤦♂️
Rough idle is caused by things other than just the spark plugs or coils. Could be a vacuum leak so it could be one of the houses. Could be the one pcv valve

E60 will never go out of production my friend and it went so out of production yet I became the biggest channel in 2 years for E60 😂😂😂 so goes to show you little boy how out of production it really went considering it was one of BMWs most sold chassis ever

Changes spark plug, changed ignition coil and 4th cilinder is still missfiring ..... :/
Ok i find out where is the problem, with oscilloscope checked all wires of 4th cylinder and the DME not sending signal to 4th cylinder.... that means engine computer died 😔

I just changed out boot now it’s hard idle sound like clack valve wtf just bought car need help
@15baco88 I had several problems actually, the rough idle was caused by a faulty camshaft , coil and spark plug . After fixing them , I had a steady idle , but still the car shook at ide , so I replaced both engine mounts and the problem was gone . My problem was confusing because the main harness was faulty , showing fault codes that weren't there too .
@S Wilson If the car's idle shakes and not steady and as you step on pedal , it gets steady after 1.5 rpm then it might be a broken valve , especially if you got no fault codes on the scanner
