'King and Queen Consort Mark Abbey’s 950th Anniversary'
The King and Queen Consort have visited Dunfermline Abbey to mark its 950th anniversary.
Their Majesties met representatives for Historic Scotland to learn about the history of the local area and conservation of the site.
Earlier in the day, King Charles formally marked the conferral of City status on Dunfermline.

950 years old . Let that just sink in Great to see the King so warmly received and the genuine love between the king of Scotland and his people. As a half Scot myself - It makes me very proud. The Queen mother will be doing cart wheels up in heaven seeing such respect. I’m certain of it. Thank you
@@iociccio936 He's descended from Scottish Royalty as well, it was a Scottish King who inherited the English Throne which lead to the creation of the British throne.

I'm still trying to get used to saying the King and Queen Consort. But good to see Fife finally get a city. Dunfermline was the only natural choice, as it was our old capital before Edinburgh became the capital.

I like Camilla a lot. I think she's my favorite Royal. She doesn't buy many clothes. I think I've seen her wear that same green wool coat, ruffled sleeved- and collared-blouse, and maybe even the same boots on many occasions. She is also partial to her pearl necklace with the big stone in front. (Charles used his own pen. He wasn't going to risk getting that leaking ink on his hands again. 🙂)

Good thing it wasn't another leaky pen. We will always remember that infamous leaky pen. Hopefully it's on display one day as part of hisory.

Haven't even watched video yet but want to say I'm okay with Charles' traditional outfit especially if the people like it. But I think Camilla looks great. She is being pressured by some to start dressing more elegant. Telling her to wear her hair in way to easily wear hats, even if it doesn't look so nice if hat is removed. But I really like the boots with her coat. I've read, oh she needs to start wearing higher heels now that she's the Queen. No she looks great just as she is. She will probably be a little more smooth in some ways but doesn't need to comform to "the Queen likes". She's in the position now and can make her own traditions. She may decide to only occassionally wear a hat, that's fine. I think that the younger women, Kate, Eugenia, Beatrice, Zara don't need to feel they must wear the super uncomfortable 5" heels and wear heels that are comfortable or other styles, like boots, like Camilla. Traditions are habits we can choose to change to better fit us, our family, our community. Women wearing these uncomfortable heels set a standard that younger girls feel they must attain even if don't want to. Camilla DON'T give in to the stuffed shirts or dresses!!! Be yourself, that's what your husband wanted for years, don't change now.
Charles wears that all the time. It's not like it's something new.
