  • AM FROM LONDON AM SO IMPRESSED WITH THESE BLACK UNIVERSITY BANDS. NOTHING LIKE THIS IN LONDON.

    • Init.. This is something that would benefit a large amount of people n acc get a large amount of people into music they most likely would care about.. for some reason here in London schools prefer the classical choir and performance shit.. which made me fall out of music.. I cant lie if they had stuff like this I deffo would hve continued music cuz this stuff seems so fun

  • I’m from Vegas and I was here at this game, this was my first time seeing an HBCU band perform and it really inspired me so much. I’m forever pissed at whoever said side to side marching was “professional” and not this style. In my band I don’t think we’ve ever seen a crowd this hyped and we’ve definitely never actually people clapping and cheering at our formations. Why can’t we do stuff like this 😭😭❤️

I participated in and then directed some of the earliest drum snd bugle corps dance drill teams. Today's teams earn multiple national competition awards WITHOUT finding the bump and grind and "body stroking" a necessary part of their routines.

There's a bunch of schools who doesn't have this types of marching band who wished they did because they are entertaining. Our band directors presented us the music/songs for the show.. we rehearsed/memorized each n every song.. didn't need no music sheets... Long rehearsals and late evening halftime show practices.. formations, dances n etc... But when it was "showtime" it was well worth it to see and hear the applauds n adulation from the crowd...
