    • great story !! BOLD LIE he told about being #1😂 🌊🌊OCEAN is destroying the top 5 bands this year.... they never saw it coming. Smaller schools have leveled up, because the quality out of the high schools are better this decade. Better music, Better dancers + Better musicians, better DM, etc = this story is a remarkable confirmation of this. JSU alumni stepped up at the high school level. Im happy they showed these unsung heroes. TXSU🌊 is also an alumni success story; SU fans are going to remind everyone of this... all year😁🤣😂 .....you gotta ❤HBCU culture💯

    • SWAC is a closed system. (in my opinion) it makes it hard to be the 1st latino if you arent born and raised into that system*. it is hard to win a desired spot in the band. Dancing Dolls of Jackson MS wouldnt be in business if it was not true. * 2:54 is key That is the major difference between swac vs meac. ...................MEAC you come with talent. Even though it featured Marvin he does represent the crisp movement of the band. Being out front his sharpness caught my attention the first time I watched them march and made me to actually watch the full performance. From there I always watch the Sonic Boom when I see them. Coach Prime has started a Movement! And for Mars to donate to help fill the Gap Emergency Fund for the students... Amazing! Hopefully, some corporations will spread some of the love to other HBCUs. • @@cinemeleon2808 Yes, Abraham was a phenomenal leader, but JSU wasn't the same during his tenure as now. Naturally there's going to be a lot of buzz around Marvin because of the position JSU is in now. Had it not been for the buzz, Marvin would be getting some shine but not like this. Just ask Justin over at ASU.

Any university would be honored to have him and there is no doubt that the recognition given to him by JSU would be bestowed on this young man in the same way. Many of us have watch him perform almost flawlessly. We all wish him the very best. He is an inspiration for many.

  • So you have a basically African American band but only this young man is praised ? Do we see how accepting and loving African Americans are of other people? This young man is the head drum major the black students are supporting him. Can we get that same love and support of the Latino/ Hispanic community?

    @stephanielewis712@stephanielewis712 Жыл бұрын
    • Right. Didn't like that feature at all. It's politics. Good morning America pushing what they consider a story line of interest of what they think is important and it's not Black students. It's ok he gets 2 minutes of acknowledgement, bit now t a whole interview while all the students are completely ignored and not honored or the history of the band. No. The Latino community would not do the same thing.
