This is probably the actual single dumbest comment I've ever seen on a combat sport video of any kind. If you ever trained a day of kickboxing in your life, you would know that that's exactly what you need to do. A stoppage win is the most undisputable, and the only way to secure one, is to precisely that and "completely destroy your opponent" to the point where even hardened fighters are physically unable to continue. A lot of fighters will simply not even quit, even despite broken bones or other serious injuries, it's the ref and ringside medical staff's responsibility to ensure the fighters health.

Rico's leg kicks represent an advancement of striking. The Thais discovered in the 1980s that Western kickboxers really hate getting kicked in the legs. They'd batter the thighs simply because it was so crucial in Muay Thai and westerners had not trained for it. A further advancement took place with people like Ernesto Hoost and modern strikers, even in MMA. They realised that people hate getting kicked in the calf more so than the upper thigh. And you can land those hits on the inside if you're smart like Hoost and Rico. Rico is quite unique at this point. It was known that people don't like thigh kicks, or calf kicks. But he is the first to really model his game around kicking the inside of the legs. Which sucks sooo much more.

I've been seeing a lot of people in the comment section say this fight shouldn't have happened and Silva was no match against Verhoeven... I don't think Glory forced Silva into the ring, At the end of the day, he took a paycheck for this fight. Verhoeven beat Hari before and after this fight anyways. So it's not like he's been ducking stronger opponents, but someone wanted to fight him and he didn't reject

In the UFC, Bigfoot looked like a giant. Compared to Rico, he just had a big head and torso, but didn't look so tall. It's impressive how Rico's proportions look like that of a six footer, even though he's 6'5. And he moves like a six footer as well.

This is probably the actual single dumbest comment I've ever seen on a combat sport video of any kind. If you ever trained a day of kickboxing in your life, you would know that that's exactly what you need to do. A stoppage win is the most undisputable, and the only way to secure one, is to precisely that and "completely destroy your opponent" to the point where even hardened fighters are physically unable to continue. A lot of fighters will simply not even quit, even despite broken bones or other serious injuries, it's the ref and ringside medical staff's responsibility to ensure the fighters health.

They'd batter the thighs simply because it was so crucial in Muay Thai and westerners had not trained for it. A further advancement took place with people like Ernesto Hoost and modern strikers, even in MMA. They realised that people hate getting kicked in the calf more so than the upper thigh. And you can land those hits on the inside if you're smart like Hoost and Rico. Rico is quite unique at this point. It was known that people don't like thigh kicks, or calf kicks. But he is the first to really model his game around kicking the inside of the legs. Which sucks sooo much more.

I've been seeing a lot of people in the comment section say this fight shouldn't have happened and Silva was no match against Verhoeven... I don't think Glory forced Silva into the ring, At the end of the day, he took a paycheck for this fight. Verhoeven beat Hari before and after this fight anyways.
