The Gobi Breakfast! How Camel Herder Nomads Live in Mongolia! | Views
The Mongolian Gobi is a vast steppe devoid of prominent mountains and rivers. In the Gobi region of Mongolia, nomads are herding half a million camels. Bactrian camels are one of Mongolia’s five main livestock groups known as the ‘five snouts.’ They are mainly found in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert the world’s fifth-largest and northernmost desert.

what a wonderful breakfast and family!!!
Wow, so organic. Never seen camel herder family who makes such a tasty breakfast made by camel milk. ❤
Looks very cold. Probably some of the cleanest snow ❄️ on earth 🌎. Excellent 📹. Thank you.😊
only that one meal(breakfast) would keep me working for a week..
How do you make Mongolian milk tea?
First, put tea leaves into water and boil it, and then add milk and salt. Basically, adding milk and salt makes the difference between Mongolian tea and other tea.

A high protein, high fat breakfast with no heated vegetable oils, plenty of fatty meat and dairy with only low or moderate carbs and not a single person seems obese. Makes you think!

The foreign tourists who are wasting their days by causing trouble to the herdsmen should give money to the Mongolian herdsmen and pay the fees!!!

As natural as it is, that is a lot of dairy product. The yurt is amazing as is this part of the world. Thanks to the families who allow you into their homes.
This isn't industrial dairy.😁
@@salguodrolyat2594 Thanks I think I knew that but not being a big dairy person it just seemed so much. But I would still give it try, if the opportunity arose.🐸

Everything looks so appetizing, however I have to point out, this is not a typical Mongolian nomad breakfast, way to fancy. I lived with a nomad family for around 3 months, and we usually just had bread and milk tea. Maybe a breakfast for guests.
No dairy products? No clotted cream, no cheese and curds? They never did once khailmag for you? I’m stunned. What lazy and/or stingy people were you staying at!
@@tuyatserendorj2107 Stingy or lazy? Of course not. They were the most hard working and hospitible people. There were always cheese and kurd around, and anybody could eat that whenever they wished, but as I said, we USUALLY just had bread and milk tea.
@@iwamitsu32 then I’m surprised at your comment this breakfast being way too fancy. I’m sorry if you had not such breakfast at your host family. All the foods you see in this video are typical for Mongolian breakfast: clotted cream, hailmag with raisins, no-bake-cake from barley flour, cream and sugar. They can differ in form, color and flavor depending on the region or the family tradition. The serving is maybe a little pretty, or neat, but not “fancy” at all as you described. She did not even made flat bread or deep fried pastries, but served only store bought bread and pastries.
@@tuyatserendorj2107 I did not intend to be rude or negetive about Mongolian culture or people. On the contrary, I have deep respect and admiration for them. In fact I am going back this summer and planning to stay some time with my host family again. I was just stating my experience, and am sorry if you were offended.
@tuyatserendorj2107 not every family has khailmag for breakfast everyday. My family usually just has suutei tsai with clotted cream on dark bread and some bortsog. We have a quick and filling breakfast and then go to work. I don't understand why you are calling his host family lazy
😊

This is an ancestral tradition and the way of living in rural Mongolia. I would rather watch them...
Guess it would be difficult if somebody was lactose intolerant. And glad to see there are no disrespectful vegans in the comment section.
😂Lol
@@nancysmith2389raw milk products like this are better tolerated by the lactose intolerant than industrial dairy.🤔

What language are they speaking?
Dude, it's literally in the title
Because they are camel herders living in Mongolia, doesn’t necessarily mean they are speaking Mongolian
@@fighterman8808 They are native nomads of Mongolia, Mongolian very people who travels from place to place
Many of you say you love it, because you are sitting behind a computer screen in a comfortable heated and air condition home. Its seems romantic to you, 99% of you could not survive it.
What are you even talking about? There are so many people all over the world living under harsh conditions and they still manage to survive and even like their life. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean most people can't. Besides, aren't you sitting behind a screen in a heated home, too?
Монголы первое нормальное видео
kinda unbelievable she spent all that time making that for one meal, im gonna guess it took her atleast 2 to 3 hours preparing and cooking that, heres how we do it in tn usa , crack 3 eggs on pan, cook eggs maybe 3 mins, 1 min to eat, breakfast is done whats next in life
Neat!
Medically speaking, about 70% to 100% people of East Asian descent have lactose intolerance due to a lack of the lactase enzyme which breaks down lactose, a sugar found in milk and other dairy products. That was why there was a lack of dairy based products in East Asia, with soya milk taking the place of dairy milk. I often wonder if these Central Asia nomads have a similar condition. I would presume not as their diet seems to consists mainly of camel dairy products.
About 70 to 100, huh? Okay😅
In Mongolia, animals are the main source of food and nutrients, including dairy. Most don't have lactose intolerance. Due to the geographical placement of the country, there's a lack of vegetation and meat, and dairy products are the main food.
Надо это показать ортодоксальным евреям... 😂
Get them Jews🤦♂️
so much poop on the snow lol
Imagine, you show up and you're the one guy whose lactose intolerant.
do you know snow is not exactly clean ? at the very least after boiling it, strain it at least once before putting tea leaves to make tea !!
in mongolia is it clean! No big city around +1000 km
They've been doing this thousands of years and survived. I am sure they can manage without outsider's advice. They're the most natural and organic food eating culture!
