  • Hey India congratulations. When I was going to school, teacher said: The poorest countries in the world are India and Haiti. Then in history class we learned that India was the seat of commerce at one time. It was the place for choice gold Then we heard of Marco Polo and Christopher Columbus sailing to get to there..So excited he was that he'd reached India, Columbus called the natives Indians: a false name which has stuck to them to this day. India is also mentioned in the Bible as a prominent part of the Persian Empire. I put all the pieced together and kept asking myself: So how did India become the poorest country in the world? There was a stigma attached and he never explained in that geography class . I couldn't challenge my teacher because qt 12 years old, what did i know? I was just to listen and sup it up. I didn't have enough knowledge but in a few years that would change. Gravitas has taught me much about India and I'm truly happy for your nation. You have risen from the dust and made a name that you can be proud of...again. Truth to be told. you're far more than 75 years old. Happy Independence to all Indian people

    • Universe is Indeed and it undergoes through infinite number of deaths & rebirths . According to Hinduism ; One day of Lord Bramha is 8.64 Billion Earth years , his total life is 100 years which is equal to 311 Trillion years . 311 Trillion years is the total age of our universe . We are currently at 1st day of his ( Bramha ) 51st year which is equal to 157 Trillion years. His one day is called a kalpa ,30 days is 30 kalpa ., his one day is divided into Manvantars , a Manvantar has number of Mahayugas and in a Mahayuga there are 4 yugas . 4:3:2:1 Kaliyuga = 432000 years Kaliyuga×2 = Dwapar yuga 864000 years Kaliyuga ×3 = Treta yuga 1296000 years Kaliyuga ×4 = Satya yuga 1728000 years . Kaliyuga is the last & smallest yuga when it ends there will be Satyuga again . As per scriptures Kaliyuga is just started , only 5300 years have passed untill now . The ratio 4:3:2:1 Dharma stands on 4 pillars in Satyuga where Good & evil lived in separate lokas . Dharma stands on 3 pillars in Tretayuga where good & evil lived on same place or loka ( earth is called Bhuloka , a place in universe where it is located ) Example :- Ram & Ravana Dharma stands on 2 pillars in Dwaparyuga where Good & evil lived in same family e.g . The Kauravas & Pandavas of Mahabharata . Dharma stands only on one pillar in Kaliyuga where good & evil lives in the same human inside . at the end of Kaliyuga Dharma will near completely lost then Lord Vishnu incarnated as Lord Kalki on earth who can destroy the evil and establish Dharma again . Shiva is the creater and the destroyer , he is always present in this universe before the creation and after the creation , he is beyond times , he never born and never dies . He gave Birth to Lord Bramha & Vishnu . There are infinite number of universes ( multiverse ) and each Universe has it's own Bramha , Vishnu & Mahesha . India or Bharat is the ancient civilsation on earth , its borders were in Europe to China and towards Indonesia & Malaysia . India started falling after the great war of Mahabharata happened 5700 years ago , it was the end of Dwapar yuga and the begining of Kaliyuga . India was invaded by Islamic rulers , they raped our women , killed millions of Hindus and convert Billions of Hindus , they demolished more then 40000 temples and burn ancient cities of India . They tried their best to eradicate Hinduism from earth for nearly 1000 years . 712 - 1750 . Then Britishers ( christanity ) ruled India for 200 years and also they tried their best to eradicate Hinduism . The biggest genocide on earth is the Hindu genocide whicl lasts for 1200 years but nowhere it is documented. Roman empire ends , Egyptian civilisation lost but Indian civilisation still stands tall because a true religion can never force anyone to convert ., It's spituality within that attract others . Truth is the only Dharma & Shiva is the truth . Satyam Shivam Sundaram Namaste 🕉🙏🚩

U people are quite orthodox with ur religion but u have failed to gain the right and logical teachings from ur religion. That's the reason u have come from cliff to trench.U people have always been fooled by ur govts. Whoever comes to power in ur country starts chanting js one thing " we will liberate India occupied Kashmir". And this chanting drives u people to vote for that leader. And later what they work for u people is very well known to u. U are a prey of Vote politics. U have got uneducated people wid a high percentage. Those uneducated people go to Madarshas and get wrongly educated by ur Maulanas. These Maulanas educate ur uneducated people in a wrong way caz if these people become logical , they will not be able to maintain their supremacy. Wake up brother. U people are trying to develop holding China's tail. China itself is a very much benifit oriented country. It is heading towards making u slave. Try to develop urself. Be sovereign.

Also, lots of African students came to study in Indian universities and still ongoing. Great connection between African countries and India. It is not a case of single stories finding their way by way of mouth ..... from India to other countries but of whole Indian books becoming through the medium of translations the common property of the world .... many fairy tales current among the most various people can be traced to their original home in India - A.A.Macdonell".

And the way India has made itself a global power on its own, through DEMOCRACY, achieving so much and generating massive wealth even after Britain stole so much like the crown jewel and other priceless, ancient artifacts. Wow If Indians can do all that, they are capable of anything! Here's to many more centuries of India!

My grandfather slept on a mattress in a park while he went to college for engineering in Puerto Rico, eventually leading to him being able to raise sons that went to college/law school and settled in America, then giving me and my cousins better lives. So education has been very important to my family. It takes character to be able to make it through lots of education, not just intelligence.

    • I am not happy at all. We are still not independent. We are not free to speak what's written in a particular religion's books. Why? We still follow the british colonial education. We still follow urduised Hindi. We still can't dare to call invaders like Aurangzeb, Akbar, Babur, Taimur as invaders. We still continue to have people like Gandhi and Nehru as some prominent freedom fighters while infact they fought for britishers. Most of our civil and criminal laws are from british period. Moreover, I do not feel safe in India because hindus are being killed like some mosquitoes and no one talks about that. A lot needs to be done before we become independent, let alone celebrating independence day.

    • Exactly. The word Independence gives an incorrect impression of India's existence. It could have been called a Memorial day or something else but Independence Day does injustice to India's 1000s of years existence . Worse it's a constant reminder of the British rule.

Once left divided and destitute by the denounced British, in 75 years India is distinguished and dazzling. and couldn’t be more proud of you, Palki. When I am 75, I want to see an India where there is 100% literacy, good access to medical care, high per capita income and where is the leading power in the world. For that to happen, it is critical that the children born TODAY get every opportunity to develop their skills and talents. India of 2047 IS BEING BORN TODAY. To those elders who have brought us to this stage over the last 50-75 years, THANK YOU. To the youth, LET US WORK HARD AND MAKE IT HAPPEN! JAI HIND!
