@@notjeff7833 Well, I mean, that fits thematically with the show, but I was thinking more about the Disney classics, the forgotten 2D animated classics like The Thief And The Cobbler, the underrated animes like Perfect Blue or Colorful, the beautifully abstract european masterpieces, the lackluster but sometimes fantastic shots of 3D animation, and of course Studio Ghibli. Animation goes overboard as much as live-action goes bland, but that doesn't mean either of them lack good cinematography in their works.

There's something so special about this video that makes it rewatching every now and then. From the perfected clunks of colors of each shot as they transition like a painting to the next iconic shot. The song is beautiful. The editing is perfection and you can see this from Enter The Void to Birdman. When the camera feels so light in ETV and then we heavily transition to a man as he moves heavy through the same kind of establishment. And then the pulp fiction scene when you drag it on for a second and the car parks at the perfect beat end. And then putting that sprawling beach scene from Tree Of Life to The Master will always give me chills. And then the transition to Blade Runner and Fight Club made a sense of connected nostalgia. Man, easily the best video on film on KZhead. And it's not even over a recording of some film student. But it's letting a perfect song and a handful of shots do the best thing film can ever do. Continue rolling.

Cinema involves music, audio design, visual art, literature, a representation of the entire spectrum of human emotions and actions, art of photography and technical application (direction, editing, visual effects, cinematography) and is surrounded by a whole economical system that busies itself with distribution, marketing and expansion. This needs an update. It's been 5 and a half years. We've had The Revenant, Spider-Verse and many others.
I’m not sure what this makes me feel. It’s like some sort of melancholy, nostalgic bliss. It feels as though I have forgotten these memories and am now remembering them. It feels as though I am dying, seeing my life flash before me, and this is the last thing I see. Though these are not my memories, but all of ours that we all have laughed and cried in. We know these characters. We have laughed with them, cried with them, sung and danced, mourned and grieved, loved and hated as they do. We all love this as they are our lives in a way. We are a part of this simply by losing a part of ourselves to it

So many beautiful shots, a number of movies which I would not have included in my own version, a few films where I consider other shots to be the most beautiful that they offer, but that's what makes the medium so enjoyable. It's always subjective, and each of us can find beauty in the images of our choice. Beautiful song choice too btw. What a nice cover of a song mostly known from a movie. Quite fitting.

I remember years ago watching A New Hope with my dad, seeing that shot of Luke walking in the desert with the different planets in the background brings so much nostalgia to my head, don’t take the little things for granted because soon you won’t even know your making memories, have a good day everyone.

Cinema involves music, audio design, visual art, literature, a representation of the entire spectrum of human emotions and actions, art of photography and technical application (direction, editing, visual effects, cinematography) and is surrounded by a whole economical system that busies itself with distribution, marketing and expansion. It‘s the perfect sphere of human endeavor to present what kind of beauty and greatness our species is capable of creating.

We are a part of this simply by losing a part of ourselves to it

yall asking for it so here it is no its not mine i found it in the comments and repost to make it easier to find it idk if its accurate lol 0:03 Death proof 0:22 The Tree of Life 0:25 The Master 0:27 Moon 0:29 Black Swan 0:31 Psycho 0:34 Mulan 0:36 Casablanca 0:39 Manhunter 0:41 Reservoir Dogs 0:43 Ferris Bueller's Day Off 0:45 Frances Ha 0:48 Nightmare on Elm Street 0:50 Hero (2002) 0:52 American Beauty 0:54 2001: A Space Odyssey 0:56 The Grand Budapest Hotel 0:58 The Shining 1:00 Schindler's List 1:02 Inglorious Basterds 1:04 The Princess Bride 1:07 Suspiria (1977) 1:09 Skyfall 1:11 Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark 1:13 Goodfellas 1:15 Django Unchained 1:17 Mad Max Fury Road 1:20 Lawrence of Arabia 1:21 O Brother, where art thou? 1:23 Big Fish 1:25 The Darjeeling Limited 1:27 Apocalypse Now 1:29 Pleasantville 1:31 The Bridge on the River Kwai 1:33 Thelma and Louise 1:35 Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope 1:37 Chinatown 1:39 The Road (2009) 1:41 Life of Pi 1:43 Into the Wild 1:46 Days of Heaven 1:48 Blade Runner (1982) 1:50 Fight Club 1:52 There Will Be Blood 1:54 Jarhead 1:56 Sunshine 1:57 Mississippi Burning 2:00 American Psycho 2:02 The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 2:04 Enter The Void 2:06 Birdman 2:08 Pulp Fiction 2:10 Shawshank Redemption 2:12 Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back 2:14 Kill Bill Volume 1 2:16 Finding Nemo 2:19 Dirty Harry 2:21 A Clockwork Orange 2:23 Vertigo 2:25 The Matrix (1999) 2:28 Stand By Me 2:30 The Dark Knight 2:32 Saving Private Ryan 2:34 My Neighbor Tortoro 2:36 Miller's Crossing 2:38 Jurassic Park 2:40 Children of Men 2:42 Barry Lyndon 2:44 The Fall (2006) 2:47 The Nightmare Before Christmas 2:49 Tangled (2010) 2:51 Mr. Turner 2:53 Her 2:55 Pan's Labyrinth 2:57 Full Metal Jacket 3:00 E.T 3:02 Gone With the Wind

Just realised that tha the curtains in the vertigo shot look a LOT like the lalaland ones where they argue after he comes back while on tour. anyone else?
Need to save this for later
Respect.
Every Ghibli scene or shot is a masterpiece
Tbh
💯
YES
Can you imagine how cool a Studio Ghibli and Wes Anderson movie would be?
I think a silent voice and your name had some pretty great shots ngl but then again that might just be how the animation is rather than the actual placement of the camera
I come back to this, every so often. This is a brilliant video.
I'd add a few more of my favorite shots: -Arcane has a lot of cool shots but I really like the scene with Jinx walking across colorful sparks and the establishing shot with young Vi and Powder looking over Zaun -WALL-E floating above the ship touching glowy dust particles? -in Gravity the scene with Dr. Ryan(Sandra Bullock) inside the ship where her position and surroundings imitate that of a baby in a womb -Blade Runner 2049 the giant hologram pointing at Ryan Gosling's character -Ratatouille the scene with Anton Ego looking at Paris at night through his window + Others that I can't think of rn
I come back to this video about 3-4 times a month, or when i feel anxious. It’s just magical. So are movies.
omg same, there's this other video i also really like called 'The Best Shots in Films' by this yt channel called 'dripping peaches'
Great movie choices. Superb song. Amazing video
Would you mind listing some of your favorites/movies not everyone has seen
This video lets me know that movie is not just fun video with visual effects but wonderful realization of art.
I love how this is all iconic scenes in rapid succession that keeps your brain quickly recalling every movie the scenes are from.
It disappoints me that wall-e or interstellar wasn’t in this
but The Fall made it in so that’s cool
Or inception
I really thought Interstellar would be in there ..
weston407 Right?! As soon as I saw the title for the video I thought “it better have The Fall or it’s not valid.” That movie is beautiful.
this was made in 2016
The most beautiful shots in movie history: *Life of Pi full movie*
*The Fall full movie*
Life of Pi is the best looking movie I’ve ever watched and my favorite scene is definitely when the whale breaches at night
@@user-of8in4kn2e nah
Emma C good movie to watch when u r high asf
@@edenlevi9877 i never thought of that but I've seen it like 4 times so wouldn't be any different for me
Every single one of these is beautiful. Incredible, really. There’s so many more that aren’t even here! And who knows… maybe the most beautiful shot in cinema has yet to be filmed. Maybe it’ll be this year… or the next. Maybe ten years! Maybe it’ll be shot by me, or you. Someone we’ve heard of, someone unknown. Who knows what cinema will bring us over the next decade. But from what I’ve seen from this video, and some of the masterpieces from the last few years… cinema isn’t dead.
I’m glad this channel sees animated movies as being a part of film regardless if it’s animated or not…..

"the most beautiful shots in American movies history"
Exactly. There a way more beautiful global movie shots. So many
My neighbor Totoro 🇯🇵
There’s nothing wrong with that. There’s just so much films that could’ve been shown.
True- there were no shots from Studio Ghibli
Dragon Girl Blue my neighbor totoro was included around 2:34
Enough to make my day better. Thank you.
Makes me so happy to see the “standing in a field of tulips” shot from Big Fish on here
The whole of euphoria is the most cinematic thing I've ever watched
I was just thinking of that!!!
Yeah ❤️
Exactly
The HBO TV show?
The hentai
I really believe the shot of Joel and Clementine lying on the ice in Eternal Sunshine belongs here.
Yes!!;
The couch one is >>>>>>>>>>>
Bro that's exactly what I was thinking. That's my favorite shot in cinema
Shiv Kumar im waiting for that☹️
The music complements the video so much.. makes it 10x better! 💖
Thank you for including not only animation and horror but specifically Suspiria!

@@raspberrycrowns9494 It's from Schindler's List. Should give it a watch, as it's a great movie. Really dark though.
Derek Escalante oh true that. And forgive me I haven’t seen Schindlers List but I heard it’s a classic so I’ll give it a watch

*The cinema is the most beatiful thing that we have...*
Not anymore. We have now people exploiting cinema for pushing their propaganda.
Syed Arham Ali cinema isn’t not beautiful just cause some people with corrupted ideals take advantage of it, just means we need more people willing to look more and represent better
@@nekomei2640 your looks = very good brain = questionable Nice but I would say since the film industry has grown so huge, films have become cash grabs rather than actually interesting/art. That's why the few movies every year that break that trend are the special ones.
Bluer than Xephos all I said was film hasn’t lost beauty, and there’s still time for the industry itself to flourish again as do other things that get care put into them
@@symbolitical4158 What a bizarre response lol. Gotta agree though. The money hungry studios are creating movies and making more box from those movies than an actually artsy director.
This is honestly my favorite KZhead video of all time
