Congrats to Daniil Medvedev on winning his 1st Major I hope he wins many more GS titles in the future too
Same here... I think he will dominate Us Open and Aussie Open for next 5 yrs or so I know he will win a few more slams at least
He might win one more next year.. Very realistic with Rafa and thiem not playing well/injured.
@@shaunbures7557 maybe not Aussie 2022 but then yes it will be hard to beat him on hard courts
Its a guarantee that he will win more than 1 for sure, at least his GS come from hard court only
Поддерживаю, я тоже уверен, что он закончит карьеру с 10+ ТБШ...
And now he finally won, deserved, his first grand slam and I can't wait to see him shine in the other slams as well
👏👏
Да..... все жду следующих побед Дани на ТБШ и первой строчки рейтинга ATP...

Like in….. Roland Garros ?😏😏😏 On his FAVORITE surface ?😏
This
Theim and Medvedev Are two guys that Deserve at least 10 Grand Slams.. They have accuracy , hardworking , skills.. I am a big fan of them since 2017🧡
I think Medvedev will win multiple Australian and US Open titles, maybe even Wimbledon and the french since his game is pretty adaptable to any surface. As for Thiem I hope he can come back to form in 2022, I really miss him on the tour.
Haha Thiem,
Thiem win five, medvedev will win more, twelve probably
@@redemption2945 yeah I agree but it’s hard to say with so many good players who can beat them on a good day. Alcaraz was very impressive this tournament and of course Zverev and Tsitsipas will definitely win majors. I’m hoping that Thiem can win the french open next year.
Can’t put a number.. only time will tell.
Let’s start appreciating his game! Magnificent player and I can say I loved this guy the moment I saw him! He is brilliant!
This guy is just simply amazing. Great Game against novak to have defeated him in 3 sets even thought djokovic had pressure is an amazing feat.He is a great guy off the court as well
Agree - Novak was in good shape because he bet Zverev and show great performance.
This guy must be called 'The Taskmaster' he copies the style of the opponent and defeats them. An absolute shrewd beast.
pressure isn't an excuse, he just simply wasn't doing good.
Pressure or not novak missed literally everything.
Daniil's advantages : Powerful, speedy and skillful shot, Brain capability of chess game playing, and hard character that he won't lose matches
yepp.. it's like playing against the wall if we might say that... I can feel all Medvedev's opponents' desperation because what they have thought they're hitting winners, Medvedev still could return the balls and made them his winners ..
Meddy so unorthodox and such joy to watch. Many more GS trophy to come fo sure
He has been the most consistent hard-court player in last 2-3 years. Beating Novak at US Open was not an upset. He played lights out tennis.
Medvedev when is in a good form, he is the best player in the world, like in the FINAL US OPEN
Only on hard court.

Best Hard Court player in the World ... be a great player in straight sets 💪
I am sad to see in other places people saying that it's not the case that he won, more that Djokovic lost. For me, that is not true. Daniil has been the best player to watch the entire tournament, from shot selection, entertainment value and just everything overall. Djokovic never played his best against him that is true BUT that is down to the fact that Daniil never let him play his best, he had a game plan going in and he executed it perfectly and Djokovic simply couldn't find a way to work around it. I hope Daniil manages to win many more GS's in front of much more appreciative audiences and against someone other than Djokovic so he can celebrate properly. It was awful that he felt like he had to tone down his celebrations just not to upset Djokovic and the crowd.
who says that, you idiot
Tokyo 2018 was the first match when I recognized his potential. Winning straight sets against Nishikori at his homegrond
Kazan 2016 vs Berankis was the match I recognized his potential...and I was betting against him lol
ground
the whole tourney was amazing, i was following him ever since :)
No one ever talks about is angular game. He is able to find insane angles quite consistently.
Best anticipation skills on the tour, simply amazing
congratulations medvedev on winning the us open!!! 🎉🇷🇺🏆😎👍
I love him cause I relate to the awkwardness lol. He’s my idol lol.
You said "lol" 2 too many times

That's the first real break trough in the majors of the next Gen and Daniil is now the king of the next Gen. This major will go into history as the beginning of the Slam Race of Next Gen players.
Imagine if big3 will never ever win any major and will stand still with their 20s
That draw would be historical
That would be legendary and a well deserved ending for the big three all 3 legends tied at the top!!
@@zakir00798 thats very unlikely

New undisputed king of hard court arena
A tennis player with chess mind games
Q: Medvedev, you are going to be 2 sets to love up soon vs Djoker, what is your plan that there is no repeat of what happened with Stefano Tsitsipas. Medvedev: Tsitsipas is a small kid who doesn't know how to fight #USOpen
Alternative title: Fognini epic racket smash in Shanghai (+ Medvedev doing stuff)
Great sportsmanship. Always deserve to win. Love watching him play. Perfection and sincere dedication makes Daniil Medvedev a true Champion tennis player.
Red Army on marche: Medvedev, Zverev, Tsisipas, Rublev, Karatsev, Shapovalov, Khachanov, Popyrin... I'm sure these guys will take more than one Grand Slam.
So Medvedev is trending on tennis tv bro 😂😂
I can't help but think - poor schwartzman !
All kneel to King Daniil 🐙
One of a best player in the world. Amazing points. CONGRATS DANIIL!!
He is Mental genius.
Great vid. I notice he celebrated a title at least once in tokyo 2018, good to see that :D
The 29 second game is just legendary
He's beaten his own record by serving it out in 28 seconds at this US Open
@@mublikbublik7911 Wow thanks Bublik, hope we get the highlight for that one
I love watching Daniil play, he’s amazing and one of my favs after Rafa 😊.
Congrats champion ! awesome skills
Indeed!
He was at BEAST MODE in the US Open final🔥🔥🔥
Medvedev is GOD now!

A big kid who knows how to fight 😎
Well deserved Major
watching this after some game from 00s and it's like looking in slow-mo
He just hardly misses almost never.
Admiro a Daniil!
Well done Big D. I had a chat to him a few months ago in Monte Carlo and told him he needed to slice his backhand and chip his forehand a bit more. He took the advice and I’m not surprised he got the slam. But I feel a bit guilty for helping him beat Novak!
well played!
backhand leap at 6:05 LITERALLY GOATED. I got tears
He won the slam with no surprise.
His first major title is just the begining, i know that he will be the next legend, he is the most complete player among his contemporaries, he is the "WALL" of tennis...
PARABÉNS DANIEL!
Those aces...

Once the big three retires especially Novak i cant see anyone stopping MEDVEDEV from winning slams on hardcourt.... This Guy is a GENIUS 😍😍😎
Dear Daniil: I wrote a cheer for you. Please excuse my horrible n00b/cringe Russian. Даня - никогда плохой, А никогда будет второй. Даня - вы вновь чемпион стать. Давай, играй! Так держать! ВПЕРЁД!!!!
Then fantastic four:- Federer ,Nadal Djokovic and Murray. Now:-Medvedev , Tsitsipas, zverev and thiem
Take out thiem and put back Novak.
You mean 'when he went RF MODE' 🤩
12:50 A 29 sec game. Just wow 😱
congratulations medvedev on winning the US OPEN i hope he wins many more GS titles in the future too????
He reminds me of prime Murray, a very hardworking player. Kudos to Medvedev, may he wins more slam in the future.
Yes, but unlike Murray, he doesn't even have to work so much.
Murray is the most hyped retriever who won because of luck.
Timestamps are slightly wrong!
The final was like Djo played against himself.
Medvedev is the reference for killer tennis! So if the opponent want to play tennis with Medvedev in a competition he will lose!
Medvedev, Thiem and Zverev will transition to the next big 3
Stop saying "big 3". No one will get close
What about Rublev?
What about tsititaps
@@peaceamv3499 He is sub par compared to them, mentally and skill wise
Tennis is going to get new GS champions in every grandslam on both Men and women side.... no one can even dream of matching the consistency shown by Roger Rafa and Novak....
Just hope he ups his game on other surfaces also
He was unlucky with the draw on Wimbledon this year . Had he gotten djokovic draw (very possible since he no 2) he would have cruised through to the final . But I think he will get good results on grass in future
@@harshavardhan7237 maybe, but he lost to Hurkacz. Yeah I know Hurkacz beat Federer into pulp but not likely he would have cruised against Shapo. And then again if he had Djokovic’s draw in the US open,he most probably wouldn’t have cruised to final this way either. Not facing a single top 10 player and his best opponent being 20 year old FAA compared to Djoker who faced Mattel and red hot Zverev
@@027calvinjose4 he can beat anyone on hard courts , look at this record against zverev , tsitsipas , rublev last 2-3 years. These are the best hard courts players other than nole . I don’t think it would have mattered . He also had close matches against nole except for that ao open final which was anomaly .
@@harshavardhan7237 ofcourse it would, having a draw like Djokovics would mean matches vs Berrettini &Zverev which would be taxing on body and mind especially considering how good Zverev is right now
Fedal new Messiah lol
1:20 , this is why Medvedev is so hard to play against as well. In pro tennis, the speed is so high, you need to read your opponent well to be able to react. Medvedev is almost unreadable because of his unorthodox technique. Zverev would have been able to read that ball from most other players and be able to properly react to it. Now he can only look at it.
That wild-angle dropping-near-the-sideline backhand is a low-percentage stroke though. If it was in, most pros would have only stood still. Big 3 and top 5 player in the zone are able to hit these kinds of unreachable strokes regularly.
@@khanhvu627 True, but opponent didn't even see it coming because it looked like he was going for the other corner. There are countless examples of medvedev's strokes being reacted to just a tad too late because they could not read it.
@@Funkytrip73 Yea, I do know that Meddy is notorious for that style of play. But in this particular case, it still looks that the stroke was executed well enough to break Sascha's defense. The previous forehand of Sascha easily landing right into Meddy's ready postion in the middle didn't help him at guessing the next shot of the opponent either. Meddy did the job taking the chance and punish him.
What I hate the most in Daniil, is that even if he beat my Nole in finals and crushed his GS attempt in a heartbreaking way, I still like him lol. Congrats to this talented/sincere/crazy russian guy, I hope he wins more GS, he deserves It.
LOL. I have the same feelings as you. Love both of them lots,
Medvedev has such weird style for forehand and also backhand that his opponents find it very hard to read his game where his is intending to hit the ball. It almost looks like shots are completely random. His play looks very messy compared to Fereder,Djokovic or Nadal but then again you Don.t have to have the nicest style what matters are final points and Medvedev manages that quite well 😉
BWEEEH!!!

He deserves to win Medvedev

Ik I'm late but it's because of copyrights
In the coming years, I think Sascha and Daniil will dominate on hard courts, Stefanos and Rafa on clay courts, and Nole on grass. But I don't know who will be the new grass master when Novak will be left.
Djokovic kryptonite so long as he doesn't sag too far back in the court.
Lol @ the grunting against nadal
Poor Diego 😂
Not so poor, 10 million and counting.
I think we should discard any lob over Schwartzman as a skilled shot ;-)
Is every point planned and perfectly executed? Or is there some risk and luck involved... not just pure "genius" as the commentators would have you think? Amazing player all the same.
GOATvedev.
Hopefully he wins Indian Wells he should go for the golden masters in the next years😂 but there is CLAY😂
He loves clay 😂😂
Да, игру на грунте нужно подтягивать, а именно улучшить игру с форхенда.... сделать её более эффективной и опасной.... Кстати, и на других покрытиях, она не помешает...
what i learned from this video is that if he plays diego he’s most likely winning the title 🤣
This is not god mode tennis. He is always consistent in his game. No one can match Fedal in “god” mode tennis.
Too bad his best beast mode couldn't be included in this
I hope he beats Nadal at French open next time.
Medvedev moves amazing for o Man his size 1,98m.......just compare him to zverev that has the exact same height and moves like 10x heavier and slower
You are too hard on Zverev. He moves only slightly worse than Daniil. Thier games are similar but Medvedev has better defense, while Zverev - better offensive ground game. Olympic Gold was also a good trophy.
Daniil rarely goes "GOD MODE", he's just consistently very very good and a wall... a few of these are definitely not GOD mode. He doesn't lose a set to Schwartzman if he goat's.
Schwartzman is a very good player. Credit where its due
All Hail our Lord and Savior Medvedev!!
That winnter in the point of 7:13 is not possible. You can't hit a winner from Rafa's inside out forhand banana xD
Zverev Schwartzmanev Djokovicev Nadalev Thiemev Fogninev Tsitsipasev Shapovalev 😌
0:32 LOL! Lobbing over Schwartzman doesn’t exactly make you a genius.
Seriously a 29 second game??
I think he will take 10-12 helmets.
Many shots were good but not in god mode category
God mod?
16:13 he even managed to check his haircut
Is Medvedev just a great serve bot?
Where was God Mode?
There are only 3 players who play at God mode. Rafa, Novak, Roger. Everyone else is great. Peak big 3 matches are something that will never be seen again in the history of the sport.
@Ziga Vidmar lmao
@Ziga Vidmar Hold your horses. He is undoubtedly great player. But you're comparing him to legends. Federer - 5 US Opens in a row and 6 Australian Opens, Novak - 3 US Opens and 9 Australian Opens. He'll have to do consistent winning of Grand Slams for the next 5-7 years. And there are other hungry contenders. He'll be extremely lucky if he wins 4-5 slams.
Bravo Daniel tu écrase le giogoslave !!Vive la Russie
