I'm an island gyol and I grew up in the mid 70s to 80s in the caribbean. First time I heard this group was at work. The station would play their hit "Rude" 'bout 20 times from 8-5 until I got to like it. I looked up the video to see who was the artist and the first thing that came to mind was UB40 all over. I loved UB40 even though they were not real jamaicans, still, their music sounded jazzy enough to listen to. Although, I'm a bit old now in my 40s I can say I like this group too. It's not about them being white kids, or not jamaicans, I'm sure they've been exposed to this genre one way or another. It's about appreciating good lyrics and music. They sound great and they are in my playlist now. Good work MAGIC!
