New Jack Swing ended in 1992/1993...Hip Hop Soul came in strong after that with Mary J Blige, Intro, H-Town, etc., but then great contemporary R&B was being made by Boyz II Men, Babyface, Toni Braxton, etc., and a lil more on the urban side with Jodeci, R Kelly, Silk, etc., so New Jack Swing and it's the production style faded out with the end of Guy, and the sound that Keith Sweat & Bobby Brown were doing at the time. By the time the mid 90's came when this song came out, people were either making standard contemporary R&B like Boyz II Men, street edge like Jodeci & Blackstreet, or more sexual style like Tevin Campbell or R Kelly, but New Jack Swing was pretty much gone by 95.
