Rest in eternal peace Irish! Still stunned to hear her passing. I was hoping she gets better soon. I didnt know she been sick for a very long time and on serious medical leave since last December. Born in 1990, I am telling yall right now, that music makes me feel more proud to be born in the 90s . Best times of my childhood. I was 6 years old when 702 had came out. I am 33. Been loving them when I was a little girl. They did this theme song from classic Nickeledeon's show'' Cousin Skeeter''.I missed those times so badly-when life was simple for me. Nowdays, eveything gone down drastically. Thats why 90s still on my mind everyday 24/7. Bring back the 90s! 702 will always be my favorite group of all time. I feel kinda bad since I never got a chance to see Irish. She will be missed
@kristenmotton40628 ай бұрын
I totally agree. Am exactly the same age too. ;) yeah. So true. Irish will truly be missed. Her music and legacy will always be alive in the lives of everyone; her family friends fans around the world and every heart and soul she touched. She will always live in the music world. God bless her soul.

The reason why the 90's was the best time for Black music is because every group and individual artist had their own unique sound and style. Nobody sounded the same. Nowadays every female artist wants to look and sound like Beyoncé. Every rapper wants to sound like lil wayne or drake or whatever. Everybody looks and sounds alike. This is why the music and the artistry is so poor these days. And back then you actually had to know how to sing to be a lead singer. You didn't have to look like Beyoncé to be a lead singer.

New Edition didn't sound like any of them, they all had their own style just like TLC didn't sound like SWV, you can easily tell the difference between Ment Condtion and Tony Toni Tone maybe thats just us, we knew the differences between all of them.

This song makes me realize how pro black Nickelodeon was back in the day! (Bare with me) but this was the Cousin Skeeter theme song, Coolio did the Keenan and Kel theme song, they had mad shows with main characters who were black.
I know right, it's cool how Nickelodeon was promoting music and dont forget All That musical guest that helped get some artists more fame.
All that's theme was TLC too
Plus the Rugrats song "Take Me There".
Back When Nickelodeon and Disney Was Black
Pro black but they only gave My Brother and Me(the only fully black sitcom on the network) one season. Cousin Skeeter didn’t come until 97 but My Brother and Me was awesome and the y cancelled it after one season.

I love how the lead singer dark skin beauty is singing into the camera. Her facial expressions are so real, Artist really felt what they sung back then... Damn I miss tha 90's
Something that was/is not common. Loving the extra melanin
chocolate, caramel, & vanilla. variety! i love it
Latisha Johnstone 😘
I though vanilla was white. I only see caramel and chocolate
Chocolate yes Carmel yes vanilla no mocha but in this order chocolate mocha caramel😑
@@LifeIsNotorious lol butterscotch
The beat, the hook, the bridge, Irish’s vocal adlibs, absolutely one of the best R&B joints of the mid-90s! RIP Irish Grinstead.
Cousin Skeeter! lol I miss the days of Black 90s kids shows with R&B and Hip-Hop Intros :-)
The background dancers were so dope in this video 🔥🔥🔥
I wanna know their names
And clothed. Back then it wasn't about shaking your ass, flipping your hair, and bending over. You had real dancers of all colors and shaped.
They ALL were, back in the 90's, the good ole days when the dance moves were hard, in your face type of moves and hardly any twerking.
Think the SAME thing lol!! 😂
Ikr💯🔥🔥
Rip Irish you’ll be missed baby😢 love you 😢
RIP Irish 9-16-2023!! With your twin sister again🙏🏽🕊️🙏🏽

What?
It was her twin sister ...the 2bright chicks were sisters but the younger one was a twin so her twin died
@@lee_ash-ko2oz love how you said bright. To express them bein lighter? Im mixed race🥰
RIP Irish Grinstead - with twin sister Orish now 🕊️
RIP TO THE BEAUTIFUL, Irish 🤍😢🙏🏽
Jason Weaver: a staple of our 90s life
💯❣️🖤💚💯
The reason why the 90's was the best time for Black music is because every group and individual artist had their own unique sound and style. Nobody sounded the same. Nowadays every female artist wants to look and sound like Beyoncé. Every rapper wants to sound like lil wayne or drake or whatever. Everybody looks and sounds alike. This is why the music and the artistry is so poor these days. And back then you actually had to know how to sing to be a lead singer. You didn't have to look like Beyoncé to be a lead singer.
Kysha Cummings you deserve more upvotes.
Kysha Cummings exactly back in the day it was about talent and substance. now only superficial stuff is glorified. i miss the 90's. :(
we're in a world today, where the masses have been dumb down considerably since back then, and every since youtube came out and it have gotten worse ALOT quicker. wtf is a "selfie" sounds retarded.
All 90's groups looked and sounded alike.
*****Nope! Boys 2 Men didn't sound like Jodeci, Jodeci didn't sound like Silk, maybe you think they dressed a like cause it was the style that was in, but saying they all sound a like not at all. New Edition didn't sound like any of them, they all had their own style just like TLC didn't sound like SWV, you can easily tell the difference between Ment Condtion and Tony Toni Tone maybe thats just us, we knew the differences between all of them.
Rest in peace Irish!!❤❤❤
Rest in everlasting peace Irish Grinstead ❤😢
The beginning of this song is just sooo fire.
🔥
The whole track...lit..
My thoughts exactly.💯💯💯💯💯
Back when women loved their skin color and embraced their natural curves. I miss the 90s
Strange comment
Who told you that lie. Color complex was prevalent then.
90's😍😍🍹🍹🍹😁😁
Absolutely absolutely y'all were beautiful than and beautiful now
1990-99 was everything on life if I could push the clock 🕰 back I’d probably leave it like that ! !🌎🛐
RIP IRISH. ❤ FLY HIGH BEAUTIFUL 🕊️
LISTENING IN FEB 2024 HAPPY BHM EVERYONE ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼
we didn't realize how good we had it in the 90s. the 90s was the best times and it seemed like it lasted forever. when we was in the middle of it I never thought things would change so drastically for the worst and be the way it is now. But I guess that's how it goes smh.
90s didnt last enough for me. Just one decade. The thrash that is going in the music industry now seems to be going on for almost two decades now.
Gabriel Ukott exactly ! Going on 2 decades..and its just going down hill..things are just not the same.
I agree
james myers. you said a mouthful we did it all in the 90's nothing ever been like it God bless to all
james myers for real no one knew
Missy wrote and produced so many songs.
I sure am gonna miss her.. My heart is so broken 💔😞🙏
One of the members of 702 just died a few hrs ago... she was 43 Irish was her name ....rest in peace love ❤
Wow!!! 90s kid....I'll do my best to keep it alive
Jason Weaver! He was one of my first crushes
+EclecticFlavor. Love Ambition still gets regular play at all the spots in Chicago because they step to it. I still listen to it. It's a very good song and he has a really good voice!
thats the homie! Chi town to LA to ATL
He had a pretty dope track back in the day. I have it on a mixtape. Ironically enough this song was also on the mixtape. No Gimmicks DJ Soul
Me too!!
They say music is a full circle maybe one day we'll get another 90s golden era with real singers and talent
I can only hope :( this was great to watch but also made me sad....
The only way that will happen is if you take away the internet.people were in their own wprld back then before all the sites floodednthe internet
Tirrell25 I agree, when there wasn't so much technology, ppl were much more creative ... back then it was forbidden to copy and paste someone's else's style lol now it's encouraged to be unoriginal or at least it feels that way
+Tirrell25 I agree
You not lying!
RIP Irish! Forever part of my childhood. ❤
Used to have this song on cassette tape, still know the words. Memories! ❤😂
That's old skool there ❤
Man the 90s, you gotta love it.
