  • Dave has influenced our family to become 100% debt free. We are only 32 years old with a paid for house, paid for cars, term-life insurance, and we owe no-one anything. We busted our backs working hard for this. This wasn't easy. Hard work always pays off when the plan is right. The positivity a debt free household brings is unreal. Thank you Dave!

  • I cut up my credit card today! I was battling with this decision for more than two months! I thought I would hate that I did it, but I was happy afterward. I smiled. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Look out for me, Dave! I'm coming from Jamaica to do my debt free scream once I am debt free!!!!!

The road was not always easy and our sons now show good financial responsibility. I started listening to Dave a few years ago. Since then the get out of debt train really started to roll. Funny thing and Dave uses this statement. We have no credit cards and debt we pay cash for cars. When we tell that to people they look at us like we are weird! "We want to be weird" Just went on a nice vacation to Tennessee hiking the Smoky mountains. Life is grand.

  • Greetings from Macedonia. I have watched the DR's shows, and they are very inspirational. As an orthodox Christian I agree with Dave, going to debt is dumb decision. The states give false image that debt is the fastest path to wealth, just to justify, the shortage of state's budget, they want the people to have the same mindset. To spend without thinking of consequences. Dave told you can be wealth and broke. Remember Greece and their debt crisis, our neighbour. The debt disease, is not USA problem, but worldwide problem. One of the reasons, of going to debt, is lack of gratitude what you have, or want instant gratification without hard work and patience.

However, we are now debt free and we are teaching our boys how to do better so they can live better lives. You are such a blessing to so many. • He completely changed my life and the lives of everyone in my family. We paid off 55,000 in debt in 2 years - we paid two kids' way through college with cash - we paid for a wedding with cash. My husband was unemployed twice during that time but we could survive just fine because of our emergency fund. We own four cars - no loans. We are debt free besides our house and we're working on that. Now I have a little sis through Big Brothers/Big Sisters whose single mother is severely disabled, and when her family is in any type of crisis, "somebody" at our church comes through (wink wink) because we are able to GIVE like no one else. Dave is a life-saver. He really is.

  • Dave and team, Several years ago (around 5-6) we went to a 2 day event in Dallas area. We were on hard times and hope was getting snuffed out. My answer was to start my own business which I had done in the past also but I was not all in and I just was at a crossroads. My wife and I had gone to the event together and when we first came in to the event center (I believe it was at The Potters House) you had people text in their numbers to win some door prizes. My wife won the Kindle reader and got to come up and Dave handed her the kindle. I was uplifted to great heights at the event. But it was at the very end of the event and Dave came out and it was as if he was talking directly to me (and he even said " I know some of you are here as a last resort".) He said "DO NOT GIVE UP". It was a spiritual moment that the Holy Spirit confirmed to me not to give up. The fight is worth fighting. It is not easy, in fact the times that we made the most progress was when it was the hardest. I remember that my parents were having a 50 year anniversary whole family get together and we had to tell them that we could not afford this fancy home rental that we were all going to stay let alone get our family of 7 to Utah from Texas. It was hard telling the family we are broke and we can not afford at this time to do this. Other family members came through and covered our cost for the home rental so we were able to enjoy the special time but looking back there were times that hurt. You realize that they hurt because of your actions long before this time (student loans, credit cards etc). We are debt free but the house and on a 3-5 year plan for that (My wife says 5). Now that we have been debt free for a few years and actually have savings and investments and am able to give, life is a great blessing. How different we look at life. We still have problems. It is not like we don't have financial issues (most recent one last week, dental bridge came loose and have to fix and the repair is $7500). It still hurts but my outlook is night and day. I actually have an option. I can negotiate. I can pay cash for it. Again Thanks for the Hope.

  • I started listening to Dave back in July of 2023. I was working at night listening to his KZhead Channel. Fast forward a few months and I have my $1,000 emergency fund and paying off my debt on Baby Step 2. I have about $27,000 left to go before I become debt free! I always come back to these videos for motivation and to stay focused ✌Good luck to everyone else who's also working on their Baby Steps! We got this!

  • Dave Ramsey and Chris Hogan are top 10 most important people for the future of the USA (2020 and beyond). Tell everyone you know, give out the books, send the KZhead clips out ('like' as many as possible, view as many as possible, watch them again and again). If Ramsey and Hogan can get 100+ million Americans to follow even a few of the debt free tactics we can change the course of the USA towards a better future. Dave - thank you for all you have done - keep it going. Your legacy against having car payments, credit cards and realizing becoming debt free helps people with mental health and life in general will leave a lasting impact in the World.

  • I met Dave in 1996 at one of his early inspirational seminars when I lived in Nashville, back when he had this crazy idea to put a financial program on a VCR tape, and call it Financial Peace University! Great job Dave, one of these days you'll be able to do this full time! ;)

All week I've been thinking about getting out debt I just purchased The total money makeover and workbook and I just can't wait to go on this journey and be debt free with God's help.

  • Wonderful documentary. I started watching Dave on you tube a few months ago. He is successful because he combines humor, knowledge, faith, kindness and toughness. Saw somewhere people need 3 things, someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to. He gives people hope at their lowest. Just started using a written budget and stopped using credit cards. I can see the progress already. All we have are a few parent loans for our college kids I took out before I started watching Dave. I'll get after those next. Keep fighting Dave.

  • Thank you for making this video. It’s now mandatory viewing for all my children at age 15, 16 and 17. Hopefully through viewing in repetition as they get older, seeing their parents live debt free and many family talks, they can learn to live financially free.
