It picked the farther airport due to winds at your cruising altitude and runway alignment...The tailwind increased your glide range.
But wouldn't the closer airport with the longer runway be the safer bet?
@@thesirlancelot Probably, Its what I would likely do. But, I'm thinking purely numbers in the example in your video, tailwind extended the glide to a runway aligned with you course giving you a little more time to troubleshoot the issue, maybe? Again, I'm no expert, just an observation based on the glide ring that was showing...
