  • Very nice! Our Lance is very similar to what you had. We have the dual G5s, GNS 530, GNS 430, GTX 330 and EDM. Right now we have the Centry IIB, but I want to get the GTN 750XI and GNC 500 as well. Great to see the setup works well in yours.

    • The original plan didn't have the 750 in it. When we got behind the panel, they found a host of issues with the wiring. The prudent choice was to do a full rewire of the panel. I didn't see the sense of basically paying for a new install of a used 530. So went ahead and put the 750 in. It's a beautiful unit and, although my wallet is hurting, I'm loving it.

  • this demonstration video is the best one yet... Learned a fair amount... Surprising about monitoring standby frequencies... Great Feature. My plane is just days from going into avionics Mod and will get GTN750&650 some GI275's and the GFC500 A/P system (4 Servos).. I subscribed to your channel. Thanks for Sharing.

  • Neil, thanks for the video, I learned a few little tips on the 750 that I didn't know. Thank you!! My annual has turned into an overhaul and looks like i'm grounded for around 6 months :( keep the videos coming to help me survive, haha . Enjoy the new GPS and autopilot you will love it!!

    • That stinks on the overhaul. Mine is about to hit 1800. Oil still seems clean so we'll see how much longer I can go. Hope you don't run into any big snags!

      @thesirlancelot@thesirlancelot Жыл бұрын
    • @@thesirlancelot Yeah it seemed to be doing ok, I am at about 1850 and wasn't burning any oil at all, just had the prop and mags overhauled and took it in for annual and there was metal in the filter and found some corrosion in couple of the cylinders, took the cylinders off and cam shaft was rubbed pretty bad so yeah, the wallet isn't happy. But looking forward to a fresh engine and hopefully can keep it out of the shop for a while and in the air. Keep the videos coming and hope you have a happy flying season this summer!!

    @danielreuter2565@danielreuter2565 Жыл бұрын
    • Daniel, if you push the knob instead of turn it, it will switch between changing frequencies on the com to changing frequencies on the nav to changing the pages.

  • I enjoyed the video. I have a turbo-Lance in which I placed a similar set-up last year. I have a 750xi, a GNC 355 (comm-GPS) and installed to GI-275's . I have been very pleased with it to date

    • Sounds like a great panel Gary. I don't know what my aversion is to the GI-275s but I've never liked the looks of them. I know people that are the opposite and hate the looks of the square G5s. I have never seen a GI-275 up close so I have no personal experience with them.

  • Very nice set up my friend, the GTNXI is every pilots dream to have on their birds. It is in my bucket list for my Mini P-40 after hitting the Lottery. I can only imagine the damage to your bank account with that beautiful set up.

    @space1commander@space1commander Жыл бұрын
    • The damage was severe, but I really won't need any avionics work for the foreseeable future with this update. Next up will be a new engine. Hopefully later than sooner, but we're nearing 1800 hours.

  • Nice video demonstration. Haven't flown in years. Used to have the Garmin 530/430 combo. There was way too much knob twisting. It's nice to see how this has been minimized.

    @GreatDataVideos@GreatDataVideos9 ай бұрын
    • Thanks for the reply. The innovation of the flightstream products has really helped the 530/430 product line. With my old layout (530W), I could put route changes into Garmin Pilot and then push them to the 530. I didn't have to twist knobs much once I had that installed. But the 750xi is pretty awesome and I'm really enjoying having it. Hope you're able to get back in the air again some day.

    • @@thesirlancelot I hadn't heard about Garmin FlightStream. That's great to hear! I used to fly a 2002 Saratoga II TC, but had to sell it at a huge loss when the economy crashed in 2009. I've been going through King Schools courses and using X-Plane with Gleim's X-Plane flight training course to get back to flying. Will get training when I complete getting my head current.

  • HI Neil ! Awesome panel ! Can you please LMK what Coax your installer used. I have a 750xi and a 430. Range on the 750xi is 12NM so I have to use the 430 as my main radio.

    @1662porsche@1662porsche Жыл бұрын
    • 12 miles is nowhere near acceptable. Your shop needs to fix that. Mine was struggling at 40 and they turned down the squelch setting. Seems to have improved it. Your issue could be the antenna or the squelch too. I can see if they'll tell me what kind of coax they used.

  • Hey Neil also wanted to ask how you are getting Weather and traffic to the 750 is that through a GDL? how is it working out? I'm thinking about doing that while it's in the shop because I don't get traffic and weather to my 750 yet. Also looking at adding an engine monitor for the new engine as well. Thanks, Have a good weekend

    @justinjohnson2501@justinjohnson2501 Жыл бұрын
    • Justin, it's a GTX345, which has adbs in and out. So it feeds that with a direct connection into the 750 and also feeds my ipad for the Garmin Pilot. As for engine monitors, I have the JPI830, which is fine, but I really liked the EI CGR-30P in my Archer. Some people say the JPI is easier to read but for whatever reason, I still like the CGR better.

    @brianaerni@brianaerni Жыл бұрын
