Remember Pearl Harbour. The Japanese were able to inflict such damage on the US Navy was because no one saw it coming. Iran is looking at Israel expecting a response. The problem with any responsive action is it tends to be set by the party initiating the action to prompt it. That means you end up dancing to their tune. However, if you take a step back, examine your options, "line up all your ducks", catch your breath, fully equip yourself and wait for your opponent to blink first, you win back the element of surprise they had when you were first struck. Currently, Israel has used a great deal of its defensive arsenal. The US is running up to an election and will not be giving Israel its full attention. The UK is rebuilding its forces too. The best and most effective solution is to wait. Iran would never know what hit them.
Wow the reports keep on coming. Thank you Tom.
Even if they're ridiculous
Yes he is on the spot great analysis
Israel has defeated 5 enemies at once ,and at that multiple times.
It'd be cool if those enemies would stop attacking them. How many times does someone have to be beaten in the same war before they learn they can't win this war?

Hi Tom, Russians already have the factory with assembly line in Yelabuga for shahed drones. Ukraine had bombed it few weeks ago. The factory is gigantic. So the results of the bombings are quite small. I suppose Russians still get some components from Iranians, but they could also be almost self-sufficient or close to that goal. As for pricing of shahed drones - there was a hacking made to russian databases recently. That showed pricing of those drones. There 3 prices that had been found in the leaked documents: 375 000 $ per 1 unit., 290 000 $ per unit if more than 2000 units is ordered 193 000 $ per unit if more than 6000 units is ordered Ukrainian experts told hundreds of times that it does not cost 20 000 or 40 000 $. They calculated the cost of parts that had been found in the drone and the value of parts is much more highrer. Only engine ( mado md 550 ) price is from 12 000 $ to 21 000 $ There are 50 kg of high explosive material. Depending of the quality could go up to 1000$ per kilo or higher (Who knows what is inside? TNT?). Navigation? (It could cost a lot) Body/Frame? (Ukrainian engineers refer to the body/frame as a very well made high quality one, with use of expencive materials) Starting engine? (It has 2 engines, one rocket engine to start from the trailer and the second is a prop engine mado md 550 ) That drone is definitely has higher price than we all think. I suppose it could cost up to 100 000 $ in parts alone. You definitely need to pay workers, software engineers.
For $375k the drone is inefficient. Storm shadow is around tipple the price. Considered its use, impact, different warhead types, small radar signature, far superior.
Hmm..smells like corruption??
Keep up the great work my friend and fighting the good fight 💙💛🇺🇦🤘🤍💙🇮🇱
a seven year old little girl is seriously injured
Thank you for reminding us. She is not a „collateral damage“.
Some people in Jordan too (from falling debris)
As of 2 hours ago, Amina al-Hassouni is still listed as in serious condition. Which, though minor, is an improvement over the critical condition, she was in a day ago.

I have heard that Iran has helped Russia to build a factory in Russia that builds shahed drones, they just call the drone something else.
The whole notion that Russia needs Iranian drone technology and training boggles the mind.
@@stanmeyer9770 Iran has experience making primitive military drones from civilian components. Russia still has to get used to having fallen to this level.
@@dragani2330 It's not much of a fall when we thought the Russians were on the top floors but were in fact mainly on the ground floor so falling down the stairs into the basement for the Russians isn't hard to get used to since most will now call that home from now on.

We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, "Save me!" He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them Soviet Leader after Yom Kippur war

Iran is able to close down both shipping lanes on both sides of the arabian peninsula. They have nothing to lose. Persian gulf countries can't go to war with Iran. I don't think you understand how bad this is for western economies. Almost 25% of the world consumption of petroleum products goes through the strait of Hormuz. Another 10% at the strait Bab el-Mandeb. Russia and Iran are shielded against these oil lanes. But Europe and a lot of Asian countries are dependent. A war there can literally cripple the entire world and create mass hunger in a week.
people are emotional, they don't want to hear negativity because it brings them pain. from what I see mostly like-minded people have gathered here and are calming each other down. and most people online are commenting on everything with very little knowledge. I also may not have have that much knowlege but from what I understand what is unfolding right now is very significant. and one day may count among the events leading up to ww3. it also may not be concluded yet. but I also doubt we will have the war yet.
I appreciate you Tom

RUSSIA builds Iranian drones in Tajikistan. These versions are not mopeds..they are jet powered.
Tom, Thank you for your insights! Well done. I learn a great deal when I listen to you. Even though you wear a U of M shirt, we love the commentary here in Texas!
Did they look like idiots? I'm no fan of the regime in Tehran but the average cost of those drones was like that of a used buick. Meanwhile just the US effort to intercept some of those drones was like $1.3 *billion.* If someone makes you use a multimillion dollar interceptor for every flying moped you don't actually hit them with that sounds like they inflicted massive losses in the imbalanced costs.
The most stupid act by the islamic republic of iran..
Very good approach, thank you
Good analysis, Tom. I have wondered if the rumor was true that Russian troops were moved to the Golan Heights. Are the Russians replacing Syrian forces or are they there to reinforce the Syrian forces?

The USA has lost the lead position. We are a weak nation now, pure and simple. I would be shocked if we recover from this and regain the top spot in the world. I'd even be mildly surprised if our country remains a country for another 4-5 years. It is shocking how much damage has been done in just the last several years.

Thanks for this one, what about Turkey? What Erdogan wants?
They harbor war criminals from Hamas, that's a Clue
He is irrelevant.
Erdogan used the whole ordeal to make politics (turkiye was in regional elections) and still oposition won. Turkiye isn't in a good position at the moment but still is very much needed as a nato member who is in the perfect geographical position. Playing all sides is a given in the case of turkiye, it will be so with or without erdo.
@@BigB29357Turkey is the most relevant power in the Middle East. The side they eventually take will probably end up being the dominant side, mainly because Turkey joined it.
Erdogan will play both sides because that’s his kink, but historically the Ottomans and Persia have had many scuffles. Anything could happen, they haven’t thrown their hat in the ring at all yet.
Multi-front war is not winnable? Since when do nuclear powers LOSE an existential war?
Agree 95%, but you’re exaggerating the US lack of influence in the region. The US still plays a strong role (leafing with the Abrams Accord), but needs to use a moderate language to keep the alliance together.
