The table saw sled drawer is pure genius.
And if you have accessories for the sled (like stop blocks and so on) you can store inside it. Try doing the same with the sled attached to a French cleat wall. 😬
Yup
Genau
I know, right? One of those things that is so obviously brilliant you can't figure out why it hasn't been done before.
What Chainsaw said... simply genius. Cool build. Thanks for sharing.
The "an engineer plans/builds shop furniture" energy here is wonderful. Precision means everything.
Hi Jer, it is so great to see you producing videos again. Great job thanks
I can’t even tell you how excited I am to build this, I’ve procrastinated making my workspace functional because I couldn’t find a design that worked for it… this is PERFECT! And it looks beautiful too! I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything so fast and let me tell you, your plans are some of the best ones I’ve seen, so perfectly explained, even mentioning where to cut to haul the wood home, I can not tell you how much I appreciate that as a woman who can’t handle a sheet of plywood no matter how hard I try. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, you can always tell when someone enjoys what they do!
Thank you!!! I’m glad you like it, and let me know if you have any questions or run into any problems.
Here is someone who truly understands modular design. Amazing flexibility and thought through down to the raw material level.
This is an awesome concept. Combine these modular drawers with Zack Freedman’s Gridfinity system and it could be the perfect DIY shop storage for any space and hobby. Love the stealth sled idea, too.
That's exactly what this reminded me of, too :-)
I went to the comments to write the same thing!
The issue is that Gridfinity is 42mm and the drawer dimensions here are 375x450. So the grids would not work out to even numbers, it's like 8.9 grids deep and 10.7 wide. It might work to scale some Gridfinity prints to a 25mm base grid, but then it's not really the same system, and a lot of the exact fit things like battery holders wouldn't be right anymore. IMO 25mm would've been a much better base dimension because it's basically 1 inch with a little extra room for tolerance.
@@JoshSamuelson Yes, though I suppose the plate prints could be modified around the edges to add non-gridfinity storage. So the majority of the drawer would be compatible and the edges would still be usable.
@@OhHeyTrevorFlowers Oh I guess that's true and it would help for storing long narrow things like rulers! Maybe I'll give that a try for my existing Gridfinity stuff, rather than re-print everything in a 25mm standard.
I bought your grinder plans last year and started collecting parts. Today I bought the steel to go with the motor and VFD. Glad to see your are doing well.
Jer I am 63 and have been watching your videos so long I feel like I watched you grow up. You have taught me that those tiny little lines on a tape measure are VERY IMPORTANT. LOL Also there is no reason to rush through anything. If you don't have time to do it right, How will you have the time to do it over? Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing.
Incredible versatility -- it's impressive how many you've produced. Sounds kind of addicting to just keep adding more modules...
When you slid the table saw sled out my jaw literally dropped. I’ve seen some ingenious ideas on KZhead but, wow… just brilliant.
Glad to see you’re still around, making, posting videos, and most importantly doing well.
Great video, glad to see you back on a regular basis
Good to see an excellent project from you again.
So Cool to see you in action again!!! Awsome video and build...👍👍
Great to see you back!
Jer you are a freakin genius. No really. I cannot tell you how many videos, how many scenarios, how many rough drawings I've done for my shop layout. Every time I think I have what I want, I am just not feeling it. Not only am I not feeling it, I see another video with something that does things slightly different. So I shift. This is not just a shift, this is a full on landing. I've finally found my shop furniture. Not only could I use these cubes on the ground, but I would argue I could use them instead of upper cabinets in some cases. Consider my mind blown. Now I just need to determine how I am going to build out a top that is not permanently affixed to the cubes. At 6' 3" 32.5" tall is a little low for myself. Off the top of my head I am thinking a torsion style top to give myself the height you are achieving with 4 boards. I'll achieve the height with far less wood and a sound structure. Then it becomes a matter of how to attach the top to the cubes. Well done sir. I raise a glass to you.
Great to see you back and what a great project you've developed. Thanks for your work and sharing it with us.
Astonishing attention to detail as always. Can't wait for the long video.
It is a pleasure to watch you work, it is so great to see .
Always a treat to see your stuff! Really love this system, and I look forward to the nerd out vid.
This is a very clever system. And I would like to personally thank you for using metric as much as you can
Thanks! Luckily I was able to use metric on this one because the plywood is a metric thickness. For many projects (especially metal stuff) I can’t get metric material, so I’m kind of forced to use the nonsense system.
@@Jer_Schmidt +1 Thanks for using Metric. Fully agree - here in N America we are still stuck using the System-Based-On-The-Width-of-the-Kings-Toe. Drives me crazy. And particularly because no one knows how to use Imperial. Can we just put it to rest finally. Anyone want proof that nobody knows how to use it ? Simple - ask your neighbour : “How big is an acre ?”
Glad to see more videos from you. Hopefully get to see your shop evolve with more of your fantastic builds.
Thanks for sharing Jer! Brilliant as always! Best wishes and take care of you!
Great to see you posting again Jer! Fantastic design & execution on that modular cabinet system. Looking forward to the follow up videos. Be well. 👍👍
incredible and thoughtful design - love the modularity
Always a joy to watch your videos. Looking forward to the nerding out video.
Ohhhh! Cool! A new video! Good to see you back here.
Good to see you again knocking it out of the park again my friend.
Always appreciate your videos. The depth test with the screw is brilliant.
I always love what you build. It is inspiring and well thought out. Very well done!
Your explanation is so comprehensive and I am loving it!
Thank you Jeremy, for these useful and clever cabinets!
ALWAYS glad to see one of your videos amigo! Great design and documentation both!....
Great seeing your mind at work again.
This is the modular system I've been looking for.
Excellent work once again Jer! I look forward to seeing future videos and watching what I'm sure will be an ever continuing evolution of design.
everything you do inspires me. Thank you for your videos
Absolutely stunning work, Jer. I want a hundred of these
Looking forward to the "Nerd Out" video! Nicely done sir!

Awesome build! Can't wait to see your "nerd out" video on these
As always a such a nice design and a good explanation on how to build it. You did a great job!
I am so making this. As usual you are killing it.
Looks incredible! I am waiting for the day when I have my own shop and appropriate tools to build your designs.
Impressive, both in concept and actual result.
Brilliant!!! So versatile for any shop, and amazingly clever solutions. Can't wait for the nerd out video!
Amazing system as always! Can’t wait for the full nerd out vid. And PLEASE don’t make us wait so long for your videos, we all love to see you work on your projects and you have a great engineering mind that makes you solve even the tiniest of problems with the most clever ideas.
As always, amazing build and such thoughtful construction. Unbelievable detail here 👏
Brilliant! Also love the cross cut sled place.
Love seeing your thoughtful approach to the projects you take on. Keep up the outstanding work!
It's great to see you so excited about a project, and rightfully so. The design is brilliant. It really is great to have you back.
Jer. I find these fascinating and I’m going to buy the plans. I appreciate all of the thought you’ve put into this system and I can see myself building these for a lot of different purposes. Thank you.
Pretty amazing as always. Nice video, always waiting to see more of your videos
Yes! Looking forward to you nerding out on the design. I have always appreciated your design considerations. Also, genius on the cross cut sled!
Been watching for a long time, always love to see your videos pop up on my feed. Keep it up brother!
So well done and thought out like everything else you do Jeremy! Thanks for the inspiration😊 Glad to see you posting again, continuing to pray for you!
Keep it up, Jer. Huge fan of your videos!
Welcome back Jer!! So glad to see you back again! Was starting to worry
Welcome back! Praying you’re at a healthy place in life. I echo so many comments about this video. Well thought out design is an understatement. You owe the community nothing but grateful you’re back putting out content. Thank you! And… thx for the metric measurements. I’ve been designing and 3D printing lately to add to my workshop. Working in that system over imperial measurements is so much easier (IMHO).
Brilliant, bought the plans straight away.
Man I loved this jigg/template for the drawer building part! Amazing work
Great design jer, well done!
Your ingenuity and attention to detail never cease to amaze me!! You're brilliant!!
Excellent video Jer!
Boy, you have lots of time on your hands! Awesome cabinets!
Outstanding design. It solves so many issues with one plan. Well done, sir!
Great seeing you again. Hope you're doing great !

No idea about wood working but just love to watch your amazing ideas taking shape! Thanks for sharing and hoping for more videos.
The plans are equally great. A solid feature to accompany the video (and a great value too!) thanks
Brilliant design! And thanks for building it with simple tools and no fancy joints!
This is such a brilliant design it makes me sick. This should be a billion dollar idea. I am in awe
Great work! A very nice KISS-project.
Man, I have been looking for this design for such a long time. Thank you!
Missed your work and the energy you bring to your videos. This cabinet is cool, and I love how much thought went into the design features! And I agree, hair looks great!
In steel and plywood your attention to precision is priceless and inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome surprise to see a Jeremy Schmidt video pop up in my feed today. Glad to see you are back making content.
Your attention to detail is insane. Well done my friend. What a great design
These are so awesome! The thought that went into each detail is very evident. Now I need to build these for my shop.
Amazing job sir! Well done
I appreciate the metric system conversions!
Stellar design and process...... as usual.
I love the versatility and can't wait till it warms up in shop now lol
WoW! I cant wait to try this out...probably the best storage design on YT.
Absolutely bloody genius
