Surprise surprise, more clarifications and corrections (as usual): - As of June 2022, The Sims 4 introduced meteor and death by meteor in an update, so fact no 49 is now excluded (this video was made in 2020) - Sims in Sims 4 will have the same running speed regardless of their fitness skill (tried testing it on both sims with no fitness skill and max fitness skil). If the travelling distance is far enough, all sims will use the same "jogging" walk style with no difference in speed. -I realised that I forgot to mention that sims 2 sims can die of satellite crash. But I guess it's still a bit different than the meteors in Sims 3 - Apparently, sims in Sims 4 can do stuff while on the toilet, but they need to use the toilet as well, not just sit on it. They still can't sit on the edge of bathtub though. - There are laptops in Sims 4 but they started "summoning" it once they're near a table, unlike in Sims 3 where they can carry it first. - Turns out that you can help burglars escape in Sims 2 too. I'll correct this fact if I ever make another part if the vid. - Pets can look out the window in Sims 2 but ONLY on bay windows from Mansion and Garden stuff since they can step on it. Pets can do it in any windows in Sims 3 - Turns out that failing at opening dresser can happen to anyone, but clumsy sims just have higher chance to experience it.
I think there's a time between them putting the burglar in the car and arresting them that you can free them in Sims 2. I could be imagining it though

The console version of the sims 3 has cars and karma powers
In the Sims 2 you can't get killed by a meteor but you can get killed by a satellite while stargazing. Also there is a glitch in the Sims 3 when a Meteor hits a school they won't leave the building and everyone will die in there.

EA should just release a 64-bit version of The Sims 3 with remastered graphics and I'd die a happy simmer.

Can you BELIEVE Sims 3 was done in about 5 years while Sims 4 is still being defended as "it's still in development" when it's going to turn 6 years?? Sims 4 team dropped the ball hard
All the previous games were complete in about 5 years each with so many small details and lots of replayability. 4 not so much.
Let's be real, their profits dropped drastically, since piracy had increased over the years
@@dimseablue136 You're getting less and less in expansion packs for that money. Check any LGR video in the past two years and they're about the lackluster content. $/€40 for the star wars pack that no one asked for? The tiny living one could fit in more stuff too. Even the recent eco lifestyle is pretty bare bones. Btw no, expansion packs can't be defended with the Train Sim price model because EPs are not "I just choose objects I want" but essential improvements to gameplay. Compare them to Sims1/2 EPs. Piracy will undeniably go higher with the current pricing. With the existing 9 EPs that's 360 separately for improving the base game. The cherry-picking Train Sim model comes on top of that 360 in the form of stuff packs.
Exec need to correct you on the price of star wars though. It's a game pack at $20, not an expansion. It still sucks though 🙈

The cutest detail in TS3; theye're singing while doing stuff like cooking, having a shower etc. More songs they know, more they'll sing. :)
And they learn some of these songs from tourists if you have the World Adventures pack.

Funny Story: A long time ago, i was playing the Sims 3. Because it was one of my Sims birthday, i threw a party. In the middle of the party a meteor randomly fell into my house and set one of the bedrooms on fire. Firefighters came and put the fire out. After that, a firefighter said to me:"The fire is out now. Be more careful next time." *Be more careful next time* . Like it was *my* fault that this meteor hit my house?!?!😂😂😂

The Sims 3 is the best one in my personal opinion... The only one with Open worlds and Story Progression, simply the best, if your PC can actually run it. Don't @ me because I'm ready to throw hands...
I agree!!! 100%. I tried Sims 2 and 4 but every time I get back to Sims 3. It was my first Sims game and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Personally really dislike Sims 3 because it's so laggy and hard to run for more than 10 minutes. I like a few of the features however it's not worth the added content if you can't even run the game long enough to play it.
It's my favorite too! I was always stuck between ts2 and 3, but whenever ts3 works, I play it nonstop. I never needed cc to make it fun, cc was only to decorate sims and their houses or to cleanup it's programming. The only thing I wish it had was more liveliness, it sucked to have open world but most venues were empty besides npc workers :/

Honestly, in the Sims 4, the lack of interactions/reactions due to the traits is such a weird move considering it's supposed to be full of life and emotion-based
Sims 4 with all packs has less traits then Sims 3 base game and they don't even work. I give my sim "lazy" trait but he automatically do the chores so what's the point of the "lazy" trait? Sims 4 is really lack of everything. The only good thing about it is the diversity in people (hair texture, transgender option etc.)

@Emily I love to play the game for both gameplay and building mechanic. Having freedom to build is good for imagination and make the game feel real.

It’s a downgrade of everything except CAS (the customization of the sims themselves, not the clothes or hair) and build mode.

@@minaisfab17 I just don't like the lack of customization and representation when it comes to hairs especially. Also, they recycle a lot of meshes. I have like 4 or 5 versions of the same mesh with a slightly different graphic on it lolll. But I do agree, some of the clothes are hella stylish
I'm gonna leave my unpopular opinion here: the sims 3 graphics aren't bad, I like them way more than the sims 4 cartoony style and I feel like they give the game more personality, like if it had "better" graphics it wouldn't be the same.. Also the sims 3 is the best game of the saga, but I know that one's not unpopular Edit: wow thanks for the likes, I thought this was a really unpopular opinion but apparently it's not
For the actual sims I agree. I like a lot of the decorations and build buy options of the sims 4. For my personal style I do prefer the sims 3 though cause I like the semi realism of it but aesthetics in the sims 4 were really good imo
@@MegD3373 really interesting, because for me it's the opposite. I absolutely detest those fake looking rocks, water, sky, grass, and the childishly bright overly saturated colors on most objects and worlds. The grass is worse than Sims 1 grass 😂. Everytime you zoom in there is fakeness to be noticed. The rain and other animations don't even interact with the world. In Sims 3, it drips from rooftops, collects in puddles where rain collects, insects and small animals wander around over time, while they always spawn to the same place and perform the exact same movement every time in 4. And many more details like that. Those Sims we got in 4 can be improved, at least in appearance, but there is not much we can do for the world. But TS3 is very outdated in looks. Wished it had a better lighting engine at least. 😌
@@12wer3wer9 actually I agree with that. I think the world of the sims 4 is really fake looking. I was more talking about specific items for house decorating. I think they have better designs and colors than the sims 3. I also just have a thing for the softer looking items as well as the bolder ones so that's what I like from the sims 4. For the world and the realness of the game play sims 3 takes the cake for me no doubt.
@@MegD3373 In that regard I agree too. The game has more modern furniture and design options, true. I still miss the broadness of styles from 3 though. The EPs and the store had so many different cultures, styles, Eras and fantasy objects and clothes. I also miss the color wheel massively. Hopefully that returns in the Sims 5.
@@12wer3wer9 yeah same the color wheel was amazing. I loved making my own color pallets and themes for my houses. I think the sims 5 should incorporate both swatches and color wheel. So have some preset swatches with matching themes to other items in a specific collection, and a color wheel if you want something different. Also patterns are so much fun in the sims 3. I want to see that come back too.
I miss when the sims actually danced together or when they would cuddle randomly while asleep. Also babies being more interactive like being ae to take them out the crib, sit on the sofa and watch tv
I loved that when two sims ( a couple) danced together, that was something I really enjoyed about the Sims 3, and when I tried to do that for the Sims 4 it didn't have it, I was very let down and was having to watch them dance like they were in the club.

In sims 5 or updated sims 4, they should make the babies learn how to crawl and toddlers walk so it makes more sense that toddlers don’t crawl. And there should be more interactions between babies and toddlers- children are out of the picture tbh +It’s kinda greedy that you have to buy a halfassed, broken pack to slow dance and dance together :(

Multitasking is a thing in the Sims 4 that Sims 3 doesn't have. But for me it's still not worth it. I'm staying with Sims 3😂
Toddlers can play in the cupboards, you can have left/right handed Sims, your Sims don't know how to use chopsticks right away, etc.

One of my sims who was neurotic was having a mental breakdown and the game gave me the option to hospitalize her. I did and she came out a few days better with a positive moodlet

The Sims 3 has so much depth. I love the way the sims actually dance together and not just beside each other. I also love the open world and the color wheel. After playing for years, theres still so much I haven’t done in the game.
That color wheel was just the most amazing thing! I haven't seen anyone else mention it until your comment, but for me, that really made the game. There was so much customization in every single facet... I vowed not to buy Sims 4 if they didn't incorporate Create-A-Style and I've stuck to my promise. It's just not a complete game to me without it.

Lmaoo that's the biggest issue people complained about the sims 4 ever since it was released 😂 but anyway, even if the sims 4 had the color wheel and Create-a-Style feature, it would still suck because it just lacks the liveliness sims 2 and 3 have. I know because I always try to play it but no matter what I do, I always get bored after a few sessions. I recently started sims 2 and I tell you, the first sim I created displayed MORE personality than the four households I managed in sims 4.

Can't remember if this only happens in the Sims 3, but in Pets when you have a big bed for dogs, puppies can sleep with their parents and they'll embrace the puppy with a paw.

One thing I really miss in the Sims 4 is when friends wave at each other. It’s so cute when you see your friends in town in sims 3 they wave and smile and say “sul sul” and in the Sims 4 I get so annoyed with the constant creepy smiling when they are happy all the time lol like they are on the toilet smiling ear to ear like stop

Also eating food is a bad chore in sims 4 , given how much time they take in eating and how over acting they do
I've never forgiven Sims 4 for removing the pet UI and being able to control them like in Sims 3, it was fun having them dig around, or guard the house, or prompt them into mischief. It was also cute seeing them have their own aspirations and wants to fulfill. Seeing all the fun details Sims 3 included that were dropped later also makes me sad, it's got such a charm that 4 doesn't, but growing up with Sims 3 Pets has put a grudge on sims 4 😂
Lemme add some that I find interesting too: -You can install a car alarm in your car. -When you take your sim to a game you can hover over the interaction while it's happening in the top left corner and check the score. -Going the movies gives a positive moodlet for 16 hours. Same with concerts and games. -When you have a picnic in the park, pay attention to your spread. After a while you'll see ants crawling into your picnic basket and taking away little bits of food😂😂 - sometimes when you eat at the restaurant you'll get a perfect quality meal that will give your sim a positive moodlet for 7 days. - if you take a tour of the theater with a date, you can get an interaction to woohoo backstage by clicking on the building. These are all I remember right now! Happy playing everyone❤️😊

There's MORE: - Bookcases in The Sims 3 change their appearance depending on the number books stored in them. There are three states: empty, normal and full. - Sims get anxious when flusing cheap toilets because it seems like they're about to break, but most of the time they don't. - Coward sims may pass out after a confrontation or run in fear at the sight of an enemy. - Sims with the slob trait burp randomly and can grab plates and lick them on command (I'm not sure if this is possible in 2). - Sims that have reached level 7 in the private eye career can sneak whenever they want. - The food synthesizer from Into the Future functions like a full kitchen: it functions like stove/fridge/counter, dishwasher and trash compactor all in one. - Lifetime rewards like the food replicator, moodlet manager, hover bed and motive mobile. - Sims in the political career can steal campaign funds. Sims in certain jobs can work extra hours whenever they want. - TS3 is the only game in the series in which kids don't HAVE TO go to school. You just need to remove the school rabbit hole and they'll be free to do whatever they want. - TS3 is the only game in which Sims can get flu and allergy shots. When you're playing as a doctor, you can run a vaccination clinic at community lots. - Parents can read toddlers to sleep. This is different from the usual interaction of parents reading with toddlers, as the toddlers will be in his or her crib. - TS3 is the only game in the series to feature earthquakes. They only occur as an emergency in the firefighter active career though. - Most of the real estate features aren't available in 2 and 3, including owning a rabbit hole and collecting money from it weekly. - You can also own as many RESIDENTIAL lots as you want in your main world. In other games, you can only own a vacation home and community lots. - I'm not sure if it's possible in 4, but in TS3 UL you can change your phone's cover as you level up your social media skill. You'll be able to see each of the covers when you use the blog app. - Daredevil Sims can play with fire (from a fireplace) and eat the dirt to impress people. - Children of firefighters have the pyromaniac trait. They can set things on fire without destroying them, turn any fruit into flame fruit and survive up to three hours while in fire. - Generations gives children the option to play pretend going into a submarine adventure on the tub, driving a car on the couch or presiding over a royal court on a chair. - Houseboats are the only MOBILE lots in the whole series. - Your sims can receive a fancy watch as wedding anniversary gift. That's all for now. I'll probably keep adding more.
I think grouchy sims from TS 2 able to lick plate instead of cleaning it. Kinda gross tho 😂
@@moch.farisdzulfiqar6123 I think it's an autonomous behavior in TS2. In TS3 you can click on the plate and make them do it yourself.
Messy sims in 2 can lick clean a plate when they're done eating, which will despawn the plate and fill their hunger bar a little. It can be done on command, too.

I know one detail in the sims 3 is that if your sim is childish, they can fish in the pool
In the 4th one they will play with kid's toys
And get a cuddly time moodlet

They can also do it if they are crazy. I had a crazy teen who wanted to fish before 6am. I sent them to fish in the house's pool to avoid problems with police about curfew.

In the sims 3 cars have different engine sound for example " sloppy jaloby " (the cheapest car in base game) have an old car engine sound while " vistoso speed machine " (expensive car from generations) have a modern engine sound .
Just imagine if we combined all the small details in all the sim games into the sims 5, it would be amazing

I don’t know if this is only in sims 3, but I once had a notification that my couple who has been together for a long while had a reputation of being faithful. They both got a faithful spouse moodlet that gave significant *permanent* mood boost. (I’m assuming only permanent as long as they stayed faithful) I thought it was the cutest thing. Oh also newlyweds get a mood boost whenever there spouse is near by.

You get an even stronger positive moodlet after a long time (Faithful -> Eternally Faithful)
I once played a sims 3 game where my sims got that moodlet. One of the sims had divorced her spouse to be with her "faithful" husband.
Generations pack also includes the following about elders: elders can pinch kids' cheeks and ofcourse kids don't like it so much :)
If I remember correctly they can also show pictures of their families to people

Sims 3 had always been the best. It’s feels the most advanced for a sims games. The sims 4 just seems like they went to far into a whole different game. I’m personal not excited if they are planning to keep going after. Sims 3 has always been just so satisfying. And the new sim sets coming into the community won’t fully know the appreciation for sims 2 and especially 3.

In sims 4 I don't need cheats, just a farm of that one rare fruit, and in one big sell you get half of the maximum limit of money. Edit: It's a bit broken IMO, do that and it honestly feels like using money cheat, and then you can buy everything without that much effort, too easy ,-, The only complicated part is figuring out which fruits I should mix
@@uneterostardust8233 I didn't know you had to mix fruits to get it. I just bought it for my sims in the reward store with satisfaction points. Oh and there's also the grocery store but idk if it ended up there because of a mod or not

I decided since it was a weekend (in game time) that I take my sims to the spa and do the most expensive option (the one that takes several hours) to fill up the fun need. Half way throught the massage, I got a notification that the sky is darkened or something like that and wouldn't you know it, the meteor struck the building while my sims still inside. My sims didn't die but he came out looking like as if he survived a fire.

Another cute thing to add! If your sim discover a star and name it similarly to their lover a notification will appear saying that the sim decided to name a newly discovered star after their lover because it reminds them of their sparkling eyes which I personally think is very sweet.
loved the "smaller" less common pets like snakes, turtles, lizards etc. It made me feel happy as I hold my snake or lizard.
I didn't mind the lag and long load time with sims 3 because once it loaded it was full of fun and immersion. I can't bother waiting for sims 4 loading times cuz the shallow gameplay isn't even worth it.
I'm so happy that my sims 3 has no lags with high resolution because these days computer drivers are commonly updated.
Yeah I was gonna say, I have a pretty standard laptop (not a fancy gaming laptop) and even though it takes awhile to load and lags a bit I really don’t mind it and it’s worth the gameplay. Although I do have to have somewhat low graphics :/
ts3 may crash every 5 minutes for me but i’m completely fine with it
@@galaxxys4692 yea same back when i played the game a lot years ago i had a terrible macbook air with very long loadtimes (dont remember how long, but i think from starting up the game till actually playing it was probably around 20-30 minutes or something like that) but i still waited those really long load times because the game was so fun lol
Using mods and a lil bit graphic and ram upgrade I still can play it nicely with all expantion packs except 70s 80s 90s stuff and Ketty perry 💩 pack somewhat lagg free in my 14 old pc. . . . .though game saving and loading does takes a bit long
Great fact: fairy toddlers take care of their FEEDING, SLEEPING and entertainment needs by themselves when a fairy tree is placed next to them.
heck it doesn't even need to be next to them, just have one they can access and bam. fairy toddlers really are the most self sufficient and it makes raising them so much easier. also, there are two items from aurora skies / the sims 3 store, the playpen and the walker, that if a toddler sim is placed in them, they can learn walking and talking without the need for another sim's help and their other motives will go up while doing this. legit a lifesaver

I miss is the open world and being able to edit the map, having a garage and functioning cars, being able to send sims to the spa for treatments or restaurants! I didn’t even realise how much is missing from sims 4😭 can’t belive they’re charging us money for game/expansions for a game that’s worse than the previous one

I love all those details in Sims 3. By far, it's the game I played the most in my life, and it's my personal favorite. All those small details are really nice, and make me love the game even more.

Sims 3, the only game where my sim became a lesbian when her friend asked her out during prom (the game prompted me during prom).
I hate to do proms because of it, if my teen doesn't already have a relationship, there is a chance the game will make them hook up with their ugliest classmate possible and then I have to split them up manually and they start to hate my sim, argh so frustrating.

I hated sims 3 and instead of finding every single forum to whine about it and telling how much better sims 2 was, I played sims 2 until 4 came to replace it. People have different taste and just because you liked sims 3 more, doesn't make it a better game.

Sims 3 was amazing. Needs help with loading and some bugs but it was absolutely immersive and so wonderful seeing so many wacky/detailed things. Especially with Seasons, supernatural, and generations. It became so so immersive always something you could take part in and would never be the same boring thing.
I loved how detailed when they cook food and how it looked good!

@@ladylover1134 I think they just meant that sims naturally get into straight relationships and rarely get into gay ones. In the sims 4 they have the feature where they'll naturally like one gender over another at a scale. You can't change it but it's there.

A Detail I know: In the SIms 3 Ambitions, if you build that digging machine on the inventor's station and Use it beside a police Station to dig a Hole on the ground, Several Prisioners may escape and thank you for the Prison Break, promising you will never be robbed again. I may be wrong on a detail or another, it's been years since I've done it. It would also be awesome to include the Alien Spaceship and the things it can do, like death beams and abductions. The Sims 3 Aliens are the best with the most resources and gameplay.

I’ve pretty much given up on 4 to be honest. I’ve been having an absolute blast playing 3 again, can’t see myself going back unless they release something really game-changing. The only things I miss are CAS and the ability to search for objects my name in buy mode, which I can live without lol. I hope sims 5 is closer to 2 and 3 than 4.
Yeah, Sims 4 seems to be the kind of game that's useless unless you have lots of money to spend on expansion and stuff packs.
Honestly I'm playing the sims 3 base game with no CC, no packs, no adds-on, not even patches. Basically the oldest version of the game and I really love it. The sims 3 is legendary.
Yeah I don't have any expansions for sims 3 as they're still expensive. Which is kinda cool. They're worth the money for sure, I just want to buy them all eventually and I don't want to spend a lot of money on a million years old game haha. I can't do that after 2.

I love both sims 2 and sims 3. Sims 2 had teens getting acne and couples holding each other in bed with the other partner was sleeping. Also sims 2 had memories tabs, plus you could control which season you started with if you had the pack installed. Also in sims 2 the kids and teens when they had good grads would run into the house and jump in front of their parents.
The amount of details and contents in The Sims 3 was phenomenal. It's a jam-packed, solid and complete simulation game once you have every single DLC that comes with it. They will never do another game as good as The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 nowadays. The latest game in the franchise has proven us that EA has lost its spark.
I think I remember sims who copy homework can also get detention. I've had sims randomly get detention for sleeping in class (if their sleep is low then you can have child/teen sims nap in school), slacking off, and copying homework. The chance of detention seems pretty low because it's only happened rarely, but when it did for the first time I was terrified because I thought the notification said they died or something, but then was pleased to see that a detail like detention was in the game. Child/teen sims can also bring home random artwork/trophies from their after school activities if you have generations. (I don't know about all of them, but I remember my artistic teen sim in the art club coming home with pictures and me being like "stop I don't have anymore room on your walls for this!") Little details from ts3 makes me want to buy a beastly computer to play it again. Despite the lag, I got hours of nonstop gameplay from it :')
Detention chances increase by a lot if you have poor grades... I think thay reflects on real life a little too closely.
ik in TS3 that adults/young adults & i believe elders can take toddlers and play in the ocean with them, that came with Island Paradise

That was a great video! I forgot all the stuff we could do in the sims 3. The thing I miss the most though is the color wheel. Being able to change the color and patterns to everything was the best.

But I do like building in the sims4 better than the sims 2 or 3. The decoration options could be better tho🤭

Yeah, Build Mode is the best in 4, but most things are just awful, lol. You are basically forced to use mods to fix numerous bugs and oversights (i.e. the new Bust the Dust Kit isn't connected to many other stuff from other packs, like Tiny and Haunted homes)
