I thought the LEGENDARY Canal Fish was a Lie... Until THIS Happened! 😯

The rumours were true... a HUGE fish lives on this canal and it's time to try and catch it. 2 days fishing, loads of action and we even meet a local expert down on the bank. But can I catch the fish of a LIFETIME that has been right beneath my feet for the last few years? After travelling all over the country pike fishing, and even further, I've never managed to catch a pike this big. Lure fishing for pike is always great fun, especially canal pike fishing, but i've never caught a really huge one. Maybe today is my day, maybe not. Watch to find out!
As always, thank you very much for watching. I really hope you enjoyed the video! If you can, drop a like and a comment below, it really helps me out. And make sure to subscribe if you want to see more!

  • Nice video and venue. 12 sit-ups for the first fish, add 8 for every fish you catch...and a headstand if you catch a double figure.

  • Now then, buddy. … what a cracking video and plenty of fish on your newly designed Fishing lure …. Hope all is good with you and the family and your little one is certainly sprouting up quickly isn’t he? The concentration on his face eating his pom bear crisps.😂😂😂 my kids used to love them and so did I when they only ate half of the bag and that meant spare ones for me 😁😁…… will definitely be purchasing one ( or two ) of your lures once you have sorted them out for sale and look forward to viewing some of your other items that you will be no doubt making. Nice to see things are going in a forward direction with your Fishing and making a few quid along the way. That’s what it’s all about… after all looking after a family isn’t easy and certainly isn’t cheap. You and your other half are doing a cracking job as the little one looked well happy. All the best to you and yours, buddy and you enjoy. 👍🥰😁🎣

  • Great video George, good to see so many fish on the bank. I also suggest the Norfolk broads, I've had lots of doubles and a 23lb one from under the road bridge in the middle of Wroxham/Hoveton. Combine exercise with your fishing, cycle or walk briskly to the canal. If its too far away, drive to within a couple of miles, then walk briskly f to and from the canal. Free exercise and eco friendly, win win.

  • Brilliant video! I think the inland waterways deserve a lot more resect than they generally get as they are not stocked and are natural environments now as they are so old. I was surprised that the pike you caught, except the jack, all had some sort of injury? And they were really slim, not like a fat lake pike. But the small jack shows, healthy breeding is happening? If you want to loose weight ... give up the Kitkats and the coffee ;-) Take a few carrots with you and a bag of peas, fresh peas are like sweets but good for you :-) As a kid on bike rides we couldn't afford kitkats or coke. We used to raid the pea fields and never got fat :-) Leave your cash and card at home so you can't buy any kitkats ;-) Hey, I am 6ft 2, I used to be 32 waist and lanky, walk 30 miles a day or cycle 100 now I am 62 (and falling apart)? You are still young, your metabolism will slow with age,. Being comfortable and content (but not unhealthy) is the natural progression. So only 1 kitkat a week OK?

    @black5f@black5f25 күн бұрын
    • Haha I wish there was pea fields near me to raid! Yeah the canal is in good condition at the moment, however it’s not full of fish. Brought to mind a memory of my childhood when we fished a pond that had a bass who was much larger then any other catchable fish swimming around, who I had a go at, and managed to catch and put back. Nice lure. I bet the pike would smash it in my area in the Detroit River, USA, where there are plenty of chunky 30+ inch (75+ cam) gators (as we call the nice ones here) swimming around. But fish a meter long are very rare around here because of the temperature extremes.

I had one guy start to tell me about a massive grand daddy pike that lived in a water I had been fishing for 40 years, I corrected him, for one the males don't grow very big, for two the water was netted 2 years prior for repairs to the bed to be made and the largest pike in there was only 17lb, I found out later the guy had only just moved into the area yet he was trying to tell me he had seen a 34lb pike come out. he soon departed after me correcting him and refusing his BS.

  • Losing weight is about controlling calories, tesco apple and cinnamon porridge for brekkie, learn to love Sainsbury be good cuppa soups, the Thai one is spectacular with Pom bears and a chicken sandwich for lunch, and tesco mains for around 500 calories for dinner, that leaves you at around 1000 calories for the day leaving 600 for an evening beer allowance, add in 3 5k jogs a week and that helped me lose nearly 3 stone without trying too hard. Good luck, and remember, when you reach your target weight you can eat a bit more for maintence.
