That was a good mowing, proper ground speed and proper RPM on the PTO makes equipment do what they are intended to do. Good job!
Well said! Thank you!
That mower does a really clean job too!!
We love this mower!
Awesome, right tool, right job...
Something very satisfying about cuttin' grass- either with a riding mower or a bush-hog..luv' it......
GOOD JOB Glad the hand jack made that pin install pretty easy. KEEP ON FARMING--BE SAFE
Thank you! You as well!
Great job done. 👍👍
Thank you!
My favorite thing about pins the stickers are always in the way and never peel off lol.
Ha, the joys of having to buy new pins!
Nice job fellas. Beautiful in that part of KY. I have lots of family in Paris, KY.
Very cool! Paris is just a hop and a skip down the road from us
when you started pumpin that diesel i leaned in to sniff the screen lol
Ha, it's one of the best!
@@cripplecreekfarmskyit sure is
nice job
Thank you! Cheers!

Got to love it!
This would be such a fun job!!!! ❤❤❤
We love striping up some acreage!
That cutter leaves it nice and clean , and that means it had sharp blades 👍🏻🇺🇸
This mower has cut great for 4 years and we've not had to touch it other than routine greasing
I have a 8ft brush hog......nah, that's not a brush hog, this is a brush hog ! Lol
Don't talk bad about your 8' brush hog! It'll still do the job! Just may take a bit longer lol
I have a 6 foot cutter, I could do some damage with that thing. @@cripplecreekfarmsky
Beautiful
Thank you! We enjoy putting a good stipe on a field.
For several years l mowed with l call a 15 ft batwing mower cutting pastures and wildlife plots. They had grass feed beef and was constantly mowing to keep weeds down. I got to see all kinds of wildlife. I have spooked several deer fawns and watched bound into the woods. I live in the piedmont of North Carolina. I would tell people what I could mow in 8 to 10 day and they would be surprised at the volume. Also it would depend on what gear you could run in for conditions.
That is awesome! We share in seeing all kinds of wildlife. It's a wonderful thing
Them are real farmers. No grease on the new pin to aid assembly. Claw hammer to assist. Channel lock pliers to tighten. Git-R-Done
Haha our favorite comment so far!
I have two HX20s now had 15s before hand the 20 makes it go so much faster
Absolutely! That's why we went with the HX20. If we averaged a steady 3mph for 10 hours we'll cut roughly 65 acres with it vs roughly 50 acres in the same amount of time with the HX15. Well worth the investment to save time, fuel and money!
I couldn’t help but notice how low those hydraulic lines are hanging under the tractor. I’d have those torn off in 10 minutes
Ha, we've come close a few times! We plan on shortening them up when we do some maintenance this winter, fingers crossed.
@@cripplecreekfarmsky y’all have better luck than me. It’s always the things I plan to do in winter that take me out in the summer
@@jkelly4264 who’s the troll ?
Now that's a tractor, makes my 4320 look like a sub compact.
Haha it's been a great tractor!
Turn the 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 loose
Ha, we wish we could've!
Whats the chances? Like #999 Great work our new YT friends We were just over that way ish camped out at the red river gorge for 5 days that bush hog does a fine job! What u guys make money doing this work? Love the whole suicide doors on the truck in the last video Yall! Hope to see you on our channel... Greetings from Paducah Ky!!
We were only about 10-15 miles from the RRG on this job. Absolutely beautiful country. We currently charge $100/hr. Check out allterrainconversions for more on the truck!
I knew a guy that worked for the railroad. He was chopped into fish bait doing exactly what you did under the mower.
There was no way the pto was going to engage. We will however turn the tractor off next time to be 100 percent sure
Impressed with the mower what size cut?
It's a 20' cut
I am going to give you a good tip, at the end of each day`s work alway`s fill up your deisel tanks to the neck to stop condensation building up in your tank then you will never get water in your diesel.
Thanks for the tip!
Just wondering, about how long dod this job take you? And aren’t you worried about tree stumps or other debris with a field that overgrown? Or do you do a check beforehand?
This job took 11 hours. We normally drive around before hand with the property owner and look things over. We are also going at such a slow pace that we can normally catch larger objects
I have AgCam cameras on the front of my tractor so I can see stumps, rocks or trash that could harm tractor/mower. The cameras have saved me many times, mostly from running over rocks.

As a newbie who just bought land, are these easy to operate?
Just depends on the size of the machine and type of transmission it has but I would say bush hogging in general is easy to learn and be proficient at
Крутая штука! А как справляется с неровностями?
How long would it take to cut 40 acres?
What do you chrage for something like this? With it being 11 hours.
We charge $100/hr with our 20' bush hog
Anyone else see the snake bottom screen @9:40 ?
Haha never in a million years would I have spotted that!
Paljonko ajettu jontikalla?
How long did it take you to cut the 40 acres what is the cutting width of the mower?
A little over 6 hours give or take.
Helpful tip…most of us watching this vid have attention deficit disorder so you could skip or x1000 speed the loading and chaining bit. Best wishes
This comment was taken into consideration in our newest video. Thank you for the input! :)
My neighbor just got done mowing their pasture and i think they have the ssme mower
We love ours! It's been a great mower for us
I would have used a discbine, or haybine, would have been a lot faster. then rake and bale, and have a clean field when done. but maybe you don't have them.
It was pretty rocky and bouncy ground that would not have made good hay. We did what the customer wanted
Does that tractor handle that bush hog pretty comfortable? 100 hp pto? Thanks.
It handles it really well in our opinion. Yes, a 100hp pto.
@@cripplecreekfarmsky good deal thank you!!
That leg 7:05 in between two pivoting pieces of equipment make me nervous .
Ha, understandable but all good!
how come one drive shaft bounces around so much?
That shaft guard lost the chain than holds it steady and in place. It's since been replaced!
That truck has to be pretty well over loaded…
are they going to bale hay out of this now?
No, unfortunately they are trying to develop this property
I Like youre Video Like Asmr And is this a 7810 ?
Appreciate it! That tractor is a 7400 model

Thank you for the support!
Bought for 5k back in the day, now for sale 2.5million
Not too far off. It's crazy what some land is going for these days.
@@cripplecreekfarmsky what’s crazier is people are buying land for ridiculous prices that they cannot afford without being subsidized by the government and other loan options. Can’t wait for the great reset
Not a farmer….but ……could that field have been used to make hay . Just a thought
It would've made an extremely poor quality hay due to the amount of weeds and small trees all throughout. The ground was rather rocky as well so we just decided it was better for the overall health of the fields to just mow it
@@cripplecreekfarmsky Thank you for your answer. God Bless….. Have a great day !
@@cripplecreekfarmsky What is the plan now? Plough, cultivate and seed? I have a field im trying to bring back from overgrown so I am interested. Thanks!
Nice job, but around here, west Ky, my farmer neighbor’s would have that field planted in something and throw the fertilizer to it to make it grow,
@@cademusgrove9164 This was a job on a commercial property so unfortunately it will be developed one day
Typical Farmer using a Carpenters Hammer when he hasn't the correct one available
You've got to make what you've got work!
2:24: What?! No no no no no! There is something that does not fit me: a pick-up truck pulling of a agro trailer.
We now have an 8100 International for hauling equipment :)
@@cripplecreekfarmsky But there are more videos on your channel where the same pick-up appears pulling that agricultural trailer (Or another agricultural trailer itself)... but seen from the front? It's just that seen from behind it doesn't catch my attention much.
Seems it would be easier to go around in a circle cutting the outside in, instead of making sharp turns every pass.
Possibly depending on the fields layout but on this long narrow strip we like to stripe it up
Warum fährst du durch ungemähtes ???
Der Mäher schneidet das Feld also sechs Meter breit, was die effizienteste Methode ist
Why load tractor on a trailer, why not just drive to job.
You save wear and tear on the tractor tires. Concrete or asphalt is really hard on tires. You get to the job faster because tractors are not built for highway speed.
Mr Sullivan answered it perfectly!
How many miles are you traveling. Modern tractor tyres last about 5000 + hrs of road work. And at 35 mph it doesn't take long to get anywhere. I know of contractors doing 200 -300 miles a day harvest time on the road. . I see you have dual wheels though. Which we can't use on public roads. It's very rare to see them on tractors nowadays. Here in UK.

I am not a farmer, but I was wondering why you need to mow fields. There is a significant fuel cost, wear on the equipment, and operator man-hours. You are also eliminating bee and small animal habitat.
This particular job was on a piece of commercial property that will eventually be developed. As a farmer though, you would want to keep your pastures mowed to suppress weed growth and optimize grass production for your livestock. Thanks for the question!
I think sometimes we get tedious and over think some things ..he’s simply cutting grass ..no harm in that .enjoy life !
what he's doing isn't eliminating bee and small animal habitat. mowing is the only thing that allows the habitat to exist in the first place. abandoned fields become woods with barely anything growing on the forest floor in the southeastern US after only about 10 years
I have a few once a year mows. I cut them after the first frost. Keeps the trees from getting too big. When I mow in the fall, its nice and cool no bees around
This reminds me of cutting the rite aways on the turnpike. Back in the day.
People that is a mower not a bush hog bush hog is a name brand of mowers but people still call them all bush hog come on guys get it right ok
I always heard it called a batwing shredder
You are correct bush hog is a brand like channel lock, crescent but no one says tongue and groove pliers or adjustable wrench. And that is a rotary cutter if you want to be technical
People have always associated the term bush hogging around here with simply mowing larger material. But yes, technically Bush Hog itself is a brand that offers heavy duty mowers/cutters.
