  • I never realized the glass was sails and the blocks were icebergs. Its such a gorgeous museum though and now knowing that I can see the structure differently and appreciate the use of wood and openness of the building even more. I just wish there were more pictures and video of the process of building each project that is highlighted in the episode.

  • At 18:39 (Lenard st ,NYC) That staircase made out of concrete in the lobby looks Luke a parking garage 😳. At least dress it up with some Italian Marble not bare raw sterile concrete!!!The first thing that comes to mind when I look at the Leonard st tower is the Favela slumbs in Rio De Jenaro

  • "4 months later the city changed its land use laws" and suddenly there was no problem building it. Well, that's the power of a billionaire. Legal restrictions are helpless in the face of money.

  • the building cost numbers their giving are absolute rubbish. It seems to be a common theme with these highly sculptural pieces of Architecture. At the beginning of the Gehry Museum piece, they mentioned a budget of 130 million euros, to a final cost of 800+million,holy shit, thats quite a difference, good thing the client/developer was a multi billionare with an appreciation for whats involved in making ''great Art''otherwise someone would have lost their ass on that project!
