MCU Marvel Phase 4 REIMAGINED! (What Phase 4 & 5 SHOULD’VE Been!)

I love Marvel! I’ve read their comics since I was a kid and have followed the MCU since Iron Man. While I don’t think the quality of recent MCU films have been as good as the Marvel films of the past, I’m still excited about the future.
HOWEVER, the recent films and shows got me thinking: “What would I have done differently if I was in charge of Marvel Phase 4?”
My version of Phase 4 would be a lengthy one with 13 films and 6 shows. Though the shows would only serve as fun filler and you would not have to watch the shows to understand the movies!

I love this idea, but you don't really understand. They can't recast new actors/actresses to play mutants because of the FOX contract. Until 2025, recasting is impossible due to the existing agreement with all X-Men actors/actresses, which remains valid. That's why there are no mutants in Phase 4 and Phase 5. Your idea for recasting is impossible. Good reimagining of the phases by you, but it's impossible due to the existing contracts.
@@HUNK__S True. My version is just pure creative reimagining. I didn’t want to take those politics into consideration. Plus who knows, something may have been worked out. Just like the deal they made with Sony for Spider-Man or the way they were able to bring in their own version of Quicksilver. With a good lawyer, anything is possible in Hollywood lol.

The aspect I love most about this reimagining is how you gradually introduced the X-Men throughout Phase 4 instead of shoehorning them in one singular movie without explanation.

The problem is that doesn't feel like a compliment because it wouldn't take that much effort to put out better. He has killed it with this video but it hurts me that he even needed to make a video like this in the first place. Damn, Disney, man!

You would probably say anything different than what marvel gave us would be better. To be honest, i really didnt like any of the ideas in this video. The tv shows having no effect on the story were one of the major complaints people had with agents of shield and the netflix shows. People originally wanted more connection between the two. The issue was NEVER about people feeling like they had to do homework. The issue with marvel was """THE WRITING""" ffs. If the shows were good or better, it wouldn't feel like homework, plus if the movies were written well you also wont feel like you need to watch the tv shows to understand something just like how a lot of movies in the infinity war could be enjoyed without watching every movie. This youtubers ideas honestly dont feel creative at ALL to me. His ideas are some of the worst Ive seen so far. Other youtubers had much better phase 4 reimaginings.

Because the entire "disney machine" has many many people working for it and not just one person. Imagine all those ideas? Imagine everyone coming up with different suggestions? It has to be easily over 20 or more people. So yeah, let's put it all in context.

Those people have to spread out the big story lines for decades! You seem to forget how long term a large studio wants to cash in with the MCU. Fox without the purchase would have done the same with just the X-Men. Probably at least a movie every 2-3 years plus extra shows like the did with Legion, the Gifted ...
What you did here with this video is something I learned almost forty years ago; during my initial culinary training… always respect the ingredients. The creative imaginings of Hollywood have all but died. Time for some new blood; and you sir, definitely have my vote.

Honestly id prefer someone just rewrite the stories of the movies and shows we already got. Get rid of the bohner joke in Wandavision and actually commit to the x men idea. Nikoniko8 actually made a great rewrite correcting the mess of "ralph bohner" and creatively introducing the X-men to the mcu. Nando vs movies also did a great rewrite fixing agetha. A fusion of the 2 would have made Wandavisions finale perfect. Way better than the ideas in this video tbh

Dude!!!! Its not like he actually wrote the whole movies out. The problem with Disneys phase 4 was the terrible execution abd some of the poor creative decisions. Tbh I didnt think this guy had a lot of good ideas either. His ideas and sense of creativity are kinda lackluster.

This is amazing. The only thing I would change would be for Gamora and Star Lord to not get back together. Them not getting back together in Guardians 3 made it apparent that the 2014 Gamora is not the original Gamora, and the original Gamora is truly gone.
I love everything with 1 exception. I wouldn't do the Spiderman show, and instead leave Loki season 1 as a prelude to Phase 4 since it sets up the Multiverse problem a lot better than basic time traveling.
Loki s1 as 8-10 eps with no season 2 would be perfection.
This would introduce He Who Remains at the end of Loki and gives a warning about his variants like the Kang that you set up.
Totally agree on the homework part!!! The shows should be complimentary, not obligatory to watch. I want enjoy the film’s experience without burning a candle prepping for exam to understand wtf I am looking at

But why is a show homework but not a movie? I mean they are both supposed to be entertaining would you want your movie to be treated as homework? Although some do already feel that way. I say that everything needs to feel connected and have plot relevant points put only where they make sense.
@@aniheartsong5102 Right I see what you mean. I think for me it’s just time. I have my full time job, and then I have my family time and I also have my hobbies like this. Because of that, it can get really hard to make the time to watch these shows because it can be 10+ hours of content. Whereas a movie can be a date where I can take my partner and spend 2-3 hours of my time on a Saturday twice a year.
@@MikeHudspeth I see your point, I use short condensed videos for if I didn't feel like I enjoyed or would enjoy a show or movie in order to better appreciate a crossover movie. For my family we used the TV shows like a family game night so it helped make them a more fun event. If you feel you have to watch something it inevitably feels like homework. Still wouldn't completely agree with shows inevitably feeling more like homework than movies, but marvel really didn't do well with most of their Disney plus shows so that likely soured people's opinions of the shows sadly.
Fun fact : Doctor Strange 2 (M.o.M.) was originally supposed to come out before No Way Home but because of covid, it got delayed so they had to rewrite the script for Multiverse of Madness because Multiverse of Madness is supposed to follow the events of No Way Home
Very true! I heard that they forced the writers to do 33 rewrites! Those poor writers.

The stories could have been rewritten better. I do think for "Phase 4", they should have added a 90 minute to 2 hour movie called, " Captain Marvel and The Blip". Since her character was way underdeveloped. I think Brie Larson tried to do what she could. In the comics, " The Marvels" is a fun, rollercoaster team up. In film, some of it did not translate. But your right, some concepts like " Origins : Black Widow & Hawkeye" should have happened. " Origins : Thor and Loki" should have been tv movies or short movies.
I've always loved seeing people make their own film slates for popular franchises! Great video!

I think that one of the main problems with the MCU currently is that they are just too scared to kill any characters. If they wanted to go the same route that they did end up going, and set up Kang the Conqueror in Quantumania, they should have shown Kang killing Ant-Man and surviving through to be the main threat, as he was said to be the main threat in the Loki show

This is a really well made video! You deserve way more subs. However, I think I would instead completely phase out all TV shows since no casual fan would have all the time for that. Maybe there could be some exceptions such as Loki, or an anthology series covering separate stories per episode like Steve Rogers returning the stones.

For Moon Knight, as much as I like Taskmaster (outside of seeing him as Deadpool's punching bag in the comics). I would've preferred Raul Bushman as the main villain of the movie.

Fun take!👏 Id add that we must remember alot of contracts were up too and actors decline to renew so things like that can really destroy continuity betweens movies when planning an entire phase (amongst others setbacks) 😁✌🏾

NGL I was waiting for the Phoenix/Jean gray mention, but it makes sense he didn’t since it would turn into a Phoenix vs Scarlet Witch and the main villain is Kang. I hope they keep the Phoenix for the very end like post credit scene of secret wars.

I shouted "YES! YES! YES!" when you said Midnight suns! It just make sense! We havent had any team up for a long time now and w dont even know any plans for it. The existing characters introduced isnt even enough to be anticipated for a team up. Thor love and thunder was scrapped which is good, and Thor showing up to show how powerful adam warlock is is just amazing! I love how the "death" of Wanda makes sense in your story rather than the limbo that it is right now. Your story of Wakanda forever is also perfect so Falcon and Winter Soldier could show up and gain interest in fans before having their own movie or show. Fans have been dying to ask Marvel for them to show us the man without fear again and your story just fits right -- right after endgame when villains like Kingpin have gained bulky authority and makes him a force to be rekon with. Your pitch for Captain Marvel movies are also way more interesting than what we had and would leave her a real hero by the end of her trilogy. The power up for James Rhodes, giving him bigger title as a politician is a good character development for him. I mean it's been ages, he's always been serving the government, and seen whan wrong decision could cause.

I disagree with not bringing back T’Challa. At best, if I wanted to “mourn the real person,” I would at least have an end credits scene introducing the recasted T’Challa as King of the Dead.
This is an excellent version of Phase 4 re-envisioned. Personally, I would leave Far From Home and No Way Home as they are(except Far From Home would be in Phase 4 and not Phase 3). Apart from that, I would definitely love to see what your versions of Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, and Asgardians of the Galaxy would have looked like, as well as a Daredevil movie.

If it as up to me I'd get rid of everything and start off with Loki season 1 the way it was but leave out kang have it still be a mystery. I'd have that last scene be where the mysterious figure escaped and he set the time line to collapse and Loki and Sylvie are trying to stop it. Have the time line break ONLY ONCE!!!!! LOL and that end season one with the branches breaking off. Next, I'd just straight into an already established fantastic four in another universe studying a mysterious phenomenon going on(the time lines branching off) the villain would be annihilus and moleman. In that reed discovers the timelines breaking off and occursions. Then jump straight into doctor strange where reed is explaining the multiverse and incursions and from there have doctor strange and reed Richards form the illuminati. Where they would be an established ordered team from different multiverses to try and establish the order or what's going on. That's what I got so far.

Then dive into grounded storylines showing the world in a huge "up for grabs" scrnerio with shows like "marvel knights" "captain America" and do a show based on "sable international". Where everyone's trying to get their hands on stark tech and vibranium and trying to get into high political positions. I wanted to see an "up for grabs" scrnerio in falcon and the winter soldier especially!!!! After the blip ya no

Very good. I like how the cameos you highlight keep the stories linked. It answers the questions I always have with all these movies: if (mcu catastrophe from every film) was so bad, where are the avengers or Spider-Man or Doctor Strange? I’m afraid not even multiverse lazy writing can save the mcu to usher in your ideas, which are awesome. My suggestion: tear it all down, table the X-men idea, ditch Kang & introduce Dr. Doom as the big bad guy ushering in the FF
Amazing! I loved your vision and it seems it would flow much more easily. I'd only change one thing, the next Black Panther in Wakanda Forever. It should've been the leader of the Doras and not Suri. She would've been a much better fit for the role, strong, capable and stoic. Suri should've stayed as the nerd sidekick. Maybe the Dora was a bastard relative, aunt or something. It would be much more powerful to have her as a leader then the skinny weak girl.

I didn't like the fact that the multiverse kept breaking and breaking it should've just broke once and that would been it. Great! Yea I agree. I think a team to overlook the multiverse intersecting and trying to deal with incursions and aftermath of it would be very helpful in introducing new teams and elements. And definitely would be the illuminati

Some cool ideas but I like what we got more, I feel like a lot of the fan videos are too comic minded. Like no way mystique can fight captain marvel . MCU cap marvel is God tier
Thanks! I didn’t deep dive into the stories though. The fight would be against Kang though. Plus, think about it, people don’t love Joker because of his hand to hand combat with Batman. People also don’t enjoy Mysterio because of his hand to hand combat with Spider-Man. There are a lot of creative things you could do with Mystique as a villain. Not everything needs to be BOOM, POW, EXPLOSIONS, if you know what I mean.

It should've been the leader of the Doras and not Suri. She would've been a much better fit for the role, strong, capable, and stoic. Suri should've stayed as the nerd sidekick. Maybe Dora was a bastard relative, aunt, or something. It would be much more powerful to have her as a leader than the skinny weak girl. The aspect I love most about this reimagining is how you gradually introduced the X-Men throughout Phase 4 instead of shoehorning them in one singular movie without explanation. How does a channel with less than 50 subs have more creative talent than the entire Disney machine? Well done sir.. well done. I've always wanted a show/movie just about Black Widow and Hawkeye As a (former) Marvel fan, I would’ve loved to see your version of Phase Four! I feel they should've had West Coast Avengers in phase 4, and Young Avengers in phase 5, and built those 2 phases around those 2 films. And held off on fully bringing the X-Men into it until phases 9, 10 & 11(with phases 7 & 8 being their own shorter saga).
Some of the best videos I’ve ever watched. I wish you worked at Marvel cause GODDAMN that was good. Only thing is i would’ve kept WandaVison as a show as it has not bigger impact on the MCU and explains Wanda’s struggle (prob without Monica becoming a superhero In the show, but just be introduced). And maybe have Loki 1 and 2 as movies.

My one problem is this, is that if this were the case we would not have Spider-Man back in the MCU due to the fact that Sony would not give Disney Plus the rights to make a show using their intellectual properties.
I love it the only thing I'd do is add more guardians obviously Batista didn't want to return so what you said would be a fitting end and I could see rocket dying but definitely have Quill still return to earth and be present for some events and just to see him interact with all the people he met on screen during infinity war and endgame and offscreen he met at Starks funeral that's the only reason I can't wait to see phase 5 and hope it does good, other than the X-Men of course ,but that's the only thing I'd do differently add more quill and gamora maybe a cameo in a post credit scene in a movie just before phase 5 or like a full return in a movie you know just my opinion tho and I might be biased cos star lord along with wolverine has been my fave marvel character for ages
That’s a good idea! Maybe have Star Lord pop up in a Quasar movie too. Or he and Gamora could just travel to Earth to meet his family.
The way you fixed no way home was better than we got. Would have been a much better way of getting the multiverse involved in no way home than the actual way they involved the multiverse.

Dude this is so much better. I will never understand how Disney didn’t learn from their massive fuckups with the Star Wars sequels. Like, they know a lack of forethought and planning ruined that trilogy, and it happened all over again with Phase 4 and 5
