  • Pacers fan here. There were other weird calls outside the phantom kick ball and screen, but it is more than likely just incompetent refereeing. However, with game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals, Tim Donaghy, and sports betting being legalized almost everywhere has forever put a blemish on the NBA. I am sure every fanbase has felt like they were on the wrong side of a fixed game, whether it was true or not.

    @joboee@joboee11 күн бұрын
  • The free throw difference between the Pacers and Knicks was 15-3 at halftime. So this narrative that the Knicks weren't "Getting any calls" is just bs. Even the TNT announcers were saying how the officiating was bad and it was on both side. Both kick ball calls were awful. Nesmith hit the ball with his hand and it's called a kick ball. Then when Nembhard kicked the ball out of bounds a ref a who couldn't even see the play called the ball for Indiana and he couldn't even see the play............if that don't show you these refs are trying to fix the games a certain way then idk what will. It seems like they're just guessing on these calls and it ruined the game of any enjoyment I had watching it.

If the officials showed that that's how they were gonna call it early in the game, then Turner has no excuse, but they didn't. They were letting that slide all game, and he should not have been called for it if that was being allowed for a lot of the game before.

  • I agree with JWill there's so many things that NBA refs overlook that it's ridiculous. I don't remember the last time a ref called carrying or a lane violation.

  • Watching this game makes it hard to argue with casual fans who say games are fixed and some of the refs are crooked. I hate that because I love the NBA and the integrity of the game matters. But, some of the calls are just ridiculous.. even after watching the replay. They can't stop Brunson but sure helps when calls unjustly go your way in the clutch. Embarrassing

    • Some officials have been abysmal this season. The issue is consistency so if they make calls the same way both ways then it’s all good. Wolves vs Nuggets last night had terrible officiating (albeit the better team did win tho). NBA needs to train their officials to set a consistent standard. That’s the key issue

  • Let the players decide the game this is the playoffs! There were plenty of calls that went against the Pacers the non kicked ball, the overturned Brunson foul on Turner where he body checks him in the air, Vegas wins again.
