You're such an effortless genius. Great to see man.
I’m glad it looks effortless from outside 😂
the GOAT is back at it 🙌
This series feels like canon in the making, showing not only what's possible but lots of good practices as well.
Hopefully people enjoy it!
So this is what happens when you've achieved full mastery of geometry nodes!? You go "fuck it, I'll make a game!". This is incredible! I had no idea you could even begin to do something like this in Blender.
At this point I’m not sure there’s anything that can’t be done with Blender
besides all the nodes techniques, one thing that i can't find in another YT totorials is how you arrange your nodes..it's really another level of art
Turn on snap to grid (magnet icon, or shift+tab) and lots of reroutes. And name things. And frame. Dear lord the number of times I’ve been sent people’s files to debug and there’s unannotated nodes all over the place. Makes everyone’s life easier to stay organised
So one of the things I've been attempting (unsuccessful cause I'm not very smart at this stuff) is so take my noise texture and have geometry nodes look at the noise texture and get the polygons to follow or conform to the noise texture so it'll look more natural further away when there's low poly lod
Hm yeah that does sound like a difficult problem actually. Let me know if you manage to get something working- I’d be interested to see your results
i really love what you are doing
Thanks so much!
Bringing back the Blender game engine i see
BGE should’ve always been node based
Erindale, wtf u doing!
This is time well spent
