Is Israel As Bad As They Say? I Went To Find Out (

What would you do if you knew that missiles would be flying at your city everyday? That's the reality that both Israelis and Palestinians face in late 2023, in the latest phase of their never-ending conflict. Most people are wise enough not to fly to a country during an active war, but sadly that wasn't me. Like the rest of the world, I was deeply interested in the events happening in the Holy Land, and I wanted to go there myself to better understand the situation.
It's the most polarizing conflict on earth: many people absolutely hate one of the two sides and cheer on the other. I only had one agenda while filming in Israel and the Palestinian territories: to understand the people. To do that, my plan was to travel everywhere, from the skyscrapers of Tel Aviv, to the streets of Ramallah, and finally to the edge of Gaza.
This was going to be one hell of an adventure. I ask that you try to do just one thing as we travel along: keep an open mind.

    • One sided as ever. Have you ever contemplated why Palestinians want you dead? Have you ever contemplated why Israel even exists? Ashkenazi converts to Judaism created a homeland for the most hated and greedy people on the planet because they have out stayed their welcome in almost every country they have lived in. The Ashkenazi have almost zero DNA links to the land that they welcome all Jews "back to". The real tragedy is that real Jews, religious ones, have also had to endure the labels of greedy, grasping parasites. Unsurprisingly these real Jews are largely opposed to Zionism. Before Zionism Jews, Muslims and Christians lived peacefully together in Palestine for centuries but when your neighbour steals your land and your water and puts you in a concentration camp something has to give.

And thank you for being so supportive yet balanced... that is your super power. I want to tell you to be safe (tears streaming down my face at the thought of you getting hurt), but I know this is your passion and calling and I am so grateful for you and will simply say that I am sending you positive energy to add to the energy of all your other supporters. • I am not sure what the big deal is- he is traveling around on the other side of the fence with the oppressors who are very un-compromised and celebrating business as usual! Getting diarrhea cause their lights went out for a night is really unrewarding- how privileged😮! Tommy should be in the west bank with a jug of water to share with some real revolutionaries and hero's nation; seeing what it's like to be demonized, held captive in cages and slaughter by settlers for wanting only their freedom and land returned and not sipping wine with the zionists over what kind car they drive or how many countries they have gone on vacation to!

Most of them are saying that Israel is probably the best place in the Middle East to work when it comes to salary for non blue/white collar jobs because the wage in Israel is more than 2x higher than in Arab countries. And you don't have to wear very conservative clothes, rarely to encounter abusive employer, and you'll get restday every week.

Only things I can say as an Israeli is that Israeli people are generally ruder (just as our style nothing on purpose) than how it appears in this video, but they are at the same time as friendly as it appears in this video. Also day to day life appears calm in this video and quiet, maybe it is the war (I don't live there the last few years) but even in regular times, things are much busier and hectic.

Pity there are those that try to displace and condemn them because of their animosity and unwillingness to come to a compromise. The people fighting in combat would rather sit in comfort with their respective families enjoying the land they worked so hard to build, but instead, they are the reluctant heroes who have to fight for everything they possess when all they really wish and aspire to is to live in the land of their forefathers in peace.

  • This is so disturbed. A literal genocide is going on and you post a 40 minute to show how free and safe tourist are in the city that is committing atrocities at an unprecedented rate. Between everyone you spoke to I wonder how much Palestinian blood is on their hands. People dine at a restaurant completely unfazed while people starve just miles away. This is sick and disgusting.

    • Well, people in Gaza were more than unfazed on October 7th, in fact, they were celebrating. Not sure why you are trying to gaslight Israelis to have more compassion for Gazans than Gazans have ever had for Israelis, and more than Gaza's own administration has for the Gazans.

    • @@not_sure_what_to_say No one was celebrating. I've seen this claim often but never any proof of such. Israel and Palestine are not on equal footing at all, and Israel's constant ethnic cleansing and oppression of Palestinians from 1948 to the present day should be taken into account when considering the attitude of Israelis and Palestinians towards each other. Who loves their oppressor? Who loves the people committing a genocide against them?

I hated my Arabic lessons but it was mainly because my teacher was a total bitch lol She also taught us some stuff about Muslim culture and the Quran, but I honestly don't remember her teaching about all the war mongering parts of it, which makes sense because we don't want to create hate based on 1400 year old scripture. 🤔
