The auto-generated subtitles called it "the double egg" and I can't stop laughing
LOL
Gotta get your head in them eggs if you want to take those legs 🤣
side note for grapplers: when in the clinch you can often literally reach for the back of the knee (if not then pull them squared) when you get a hold of the back of the knee you can pull yourself to his leg for a single leg, and from a single leg you can transition to the double leg (source: john Danaher )
cheers!!
I am a grappler and even if you are known for your striking I was always impressed how good and explosive your double leg was
thank you brother!!
Yeah he mixes his striking and grappling very well
You need to star in an action movie.
:)

Watching this compilation of double leg takedowns is very helpful so when I do grappling or MMA sparring I know how it is done depending on my opponent and skill level and know what variation to use.

Awesome !
Beautiful. I like the more technical ones 3+, I should practice the others too though, I haven’t tried them. I might save those for if I really want to make a takedown hurt😂. This was a great in depth breakdown, love the visuals too. Thank you Jeff
Thanks man!

thanks!!
Your wrestling is by far the best in your mma arsenal. Very fast and effective
thank you!!
Free knowledge!
:)
I do blast doubles amd sometimes cut to side doubles in wrestler they are fast and very easy
cheers!
I was just about to mention the blast double. Here's a video for those interested: kzhead.info/sun/l52hpKavi2aHl4U/bejne.html
I think you mentioned it in the video, but I recently became a big fan of dealing with a sprawl by stepping up with one leg, moving the head out to that side as you slide the knee in closer. It lets you get under them, make that grip around the leg super deep, and then rotate up. I'm definitely more partial to variations 3 and 4 though, as everyone at my gym will immediately throw on a guillotine if they see the top of your head haha
cheers!
Wow 🎉, Thank you. I struggled so much with this. Would like to try it, but I‘m in Preparation for my Exams. 🙁
when you are done you can try! :)
great video. are you gonna make one for the single leg takedown?
possibly!
Wrestle Wrestle Wrestle....and when you done WRESTLE !!!!

Jeff....can you rank me top 3 fighters with the best in and out footwork (deosnt have to be in order)
head is always on the outside on a double leg... unless it is a blast double
Mantap. Skill taekdown

Which variation of the double leg would work best on a much heavier opponent?
Was wondering what the name of that first takedown was, great video. On the side opposite to the head of the person shooting, do you recommend placing the arm around the hip/torso? or the thigh/knee for more leverage when driving?
hip/chest and its just called a head inside double
@@MMAShredded thanks
Do you have any recommendations for wrestlers defending against the flying knee when shooting for a single/double? Also nice video
set up your takedown / time it well. Any technique can get countered.
Good job ! :) Yes, takedowns are the most powerfull weapon for the wrestlers/grapplers vs strikers, that's for sure ! Nevertheless, notice the distance - it's always almost toe to toe or even closer, otherwise it won't work ! Nobody can take anybody down from a good kicking distance, I don't care if he/she is even a Khabib Super-Dupermagomedov like, it just doesn't work ! And it's not about only the distance, it's the counter kick's, that's the essenrial moment ! And forget about those boring roundhouse(low, middle, high), I'm talking about Jon Jones, stamp those knees, as a counter, NOT attack ! And keep the distance at the same time... Of course, it won't make you invincible and it's not easy, not at all, but it's worth it as a tactic and strategy against good wrestlers and grapplers... Knees to the face are a good option too, but that's not the first line of fire, anyway... :) Remember Masvidal... ?! ;) Well, that was a lucky knee, but, nevertheless, a powerfull shot and...game over ! :) Stay safe and strong, everybody ! One more time, good job, Jeff, love your videos ! :)
thanks for watching bro :) Yes any technique can be countered, just depends on how good you are at executing the technique or how good you are at countering it!
so... stand up and keep moving forward if they sprawl? thanks for the content
Cut an angle !
@@MMAShredded 👍
Can make a video of chain Wrestling or takedown defense against the cage/wall
ill see what I can do!
What exercises do you do so that your opponent does not drop you by the feet (I mean counter-exercises)
As a striker, I'm gonna need to know all I can about takedowns if I want to "stand" a chance against grapplers
cheers!
For the first football tackle variation I notice that all sparing footage is with boxing gloves. If it was mma gloves I suppose guillotine is a concern how do you reduce the chance of been choked on the way down. Nvm I rewatched it 3rd time thanks
if you pause when you shoot, the guillotine is definitely there. but if you time it right and drive forward without stopping, it is harder than you think to get the guillotine.
Hi Jeff, I just want to ask what does the outside and inside refer to? Does it mean the inside and outside of the opponent depending on their stance?
he means in relation to where you slam them. so if your head is tucked to the left, it's "head inside" if you slam them to your left 2:25 .. but "head outside" if you slam them to your right 4:32
🥊
oss!
I’m 6 months late but I enjoyed
cheers!
i think number one only work correct u should push enemy with ur shoulder ty jacky chan
cheers!
All I see when I watch your videos is real life tekken lol
LOL
Jeff, what about take downs from rear clinch? Such as from the rear clinch, dropping to your butt to drag them down with you, picking them up and slamming them or doing a schoolboy takedown?
im not sure what the rear clinch is!
@MMAShredded Jeff Chan when you're behind your opponent and your arms are around their body and hand are interlocked in the front of them.
@@LambSauce. Its called a (standing) backtake, in general you want to go for a slam if your opponent base is high. if his base is low you can go for a dragdown or a sacrifice throw where you extend one of your legs as a barrier. 3th option would be to drop down and entagle one of his legs for a leglock attack.
What does inside vs outside head mean? Its seems it always goes to the outside
🤩
:)
how much do you deadlift and squat? how strong do i need to be to do these to regularly weighted people
I do light weighs !
Do you believe it is possible to avoid knee strikes or jumping knee when doing the double.
of course it is
Can you make one for single legs
I can try!
guys don't forget to pull yourself in after you shoot takedown by pulling the ground back with your lead planted foot after back foot pushes.
cheers!
How do you shoot so quick without the lead leg slamming into the mat? I always end up hurting my knee or get mat burn doing this for single/double legs.
if you watch in slowmo, his shots are like lunges, such that his knee cap is facing forward and doesnt make contact with the ground until a split second later after the shot
Bro how long have you been training?
15-16 years
Dumb question: What does the head inside and outside refer to? They all look like the same side to me?
Your opponent is in orthodox staggered stance : You shoot inside, your head goes in front of him, on your left side You shoot outside, your head goes behind him, on your right side
2:45 4:09 5:51
6:34
Is completely lifting someone in the air off a double leg a pure power move. Where are you placing your feet to make it easier on yourself.
Step off to the side !
Haha whenever I try to do the number one they get me into a guillotine
you gotta driveeeeee!
No wonder my head on the outside hasnt been working when i drive. I gotta shoot my head to the inside
Are these wrestling takedowns??
yes
Jeff Chanagomedov.
hahaha
"Double Egg Takedown" lol..
lolol
He mixed up the videos and put some" head on the inside takedowns" while talking about" head on the outside takedowns"
:)
oss!
1. Head Inside Standing Double Leg. You forgot to note that this can only be done when your opponent doesn't expect it, otherwise he can sprawl in time.
your opponent can sprawl in all takedowns lol
@@MMAShredded yeah, but like it matters when, so if my oppenent doesnt sprawl in time, I can use more force than him to take him down.
Just begging to eat a knee. This only works against lower level competition and works because of good athleticism. This is not good in the pros.
Know this is an older video but with the first two doubles I always end up in my opponents closed guard, how do I avoid this?
gotta pick the legs up to your side!
