As part of the joint exercise “Union Resolve 2022”, crews of Su-35 fighters of the Eastern Military District from an airfield in the Brest region practiced intercepting an aircraft that allegedly violated the airspace of the Union State.
The role of a false violator was played by the crew of the Su-30cm aircraft of the Air Force of the Republic of Belarus.
The Su-35 fighter on duty, alerted, approached the aerial target after takeoff, identified it and radioed the need to land at the nearest airfield.
After the requirements were not met, the crew of the Su-35 aircraft carried out a series of maneuvers that made it difficult for the intruder aircraft to continue flying, in addition to demonstrating readiness to use the aircraft's weapons in combat.
As a result, the intruder plane landed at Baranovichi airfield, where it was blocked and its crew detained by a Military Police unit.
