  • I can't believe it when humans project anger onto animals, especially baby animals. The kitten is obviously traumatized by not being in the company of her Mother and is horribly frightened by humans. A grown woman is afraid to pick the kitten up by the scruff of its neck? Even if you got a scratch, isn't that better than a tiny orphaned baby animal being run over or eaten alive? Some people are (cat word)s.

  • I would have put food on a stick. Feeding a cat usually builds trust. I also would have tried closing my eyes. It is weird form of cat communication showing you trust the cat.

    • Slowly closing eyes but not totally is also in cat language : 'I love you'. Cats do that and if you do so, they also reciprocate.

  • I usually try treat or just put towel over them and remove them. Somehow grab nape of neck . Poor kitty

  • This happened to me when I was living in the Philippines. Mom had babies on the roof and one fell in a gap between walls. At the bottom thru a crack I could see the kitten and made a hole in the wall. Could not reach it even with a broom. So I put bowl of food near the hole and moved out of sight. Kitten did come out to eat and I would rush in but kitten was to fast and ran into the hole. Finally got the idea to move bowl farther and when Kitten was eating to rush in and stuff a towel into the hole. It worked! The mother later came around and got her baby.

  • He's feral. Feral cats are different than average stray/street cats. Stray cats are at one point in their life have been in contact with human, were tamed thru the contact, or probably once indoor cats who were dumped by the owners, so they get used to human touching them. Feral cats, on the other hand, are wild, untamed cats. They usually live in colony, hidden from human sight. They don't get used to human touch, in fact they scared of human, they feel threatened when human moves closer to them, hence the hissing. It's normal behavior for feral cats. The hissing is their instinctive reaction to scare away any creature they see as a threat, and we human are seen as threat by them. That's why he hissed at you when you tried to help him. And even though you feed him every day, a feral will stay feral, they won't let human touch them. Some ferals can be tamed, but some others just can't or are refused to be tamed.

    • I had a feral I raised from a kitten. She loved to be in my house and sleep in my lap. She was so sweet.

    • She's really an angry cat until she become big but when she got pregnant I slowly get to touch her until she gives and help her with her two babies to feed she become a friend to me that start her to come near to me but its still Wierd because until now I'm the only one in the house who could able to touch and feed her

  • Kitten is not trapped. She /he can come down when she wishes or mother will get her/him.

    • If it's off milk it will be fine. It's feral just because it's small Doesn't make it good. When it's older it will rip Your face off when you sleep.
